Awesome nighttime driving information- very helpful as I recently purchased an 22 Taos SEL! I’m very pleased with everything after just 2 months. It’s more of a Compact SUV. I’m blown away by its spaciousness and all the useful technology! This SUV is a great value!

I have a 22 GTI SE and it has way more ambient lighting inside as well as turn signals in the mirrors. If the Taos is supposed to replace the regular Golf in NA then you would think it would offer the same or better features 🤷🏻♂️. I like the overall looks and idea of the Taos otherwise but would like to see more ambient lighting options, for the whole cabin, and at least one other engine option.
I am surprised you listed the VW Taos SEL price as $31,490. In our location, the dealers are charging anywhere from $34k-$36k for this particular trim. Even with extra options added, the price sounded pretty steep for a car in this segment!
That’s because that’s the MSRP. it was directly from a manufacturer and not from a dealer so dealer prices vary a lot from state to state. The dealer markups really stink but apparently people are willing to pay that..
they should've made the VW badge light up or not give the light bar over the grille at all. Now it looks like one of those neon letter signs with one letter in the middle busted...or a man with one tooth missing in the smile...you pick. I'm gonna have to look into some aftermarket solutions for mine.

I love my 2022 Taos. It’s just the S model with IQ drive, but I traded in a Ford ecosport, the Taos is much better lol

What about the Mazda CX-5?
I went from a 2020 Ford ecosport 1.0 eco post, the Taos feels like a power house compared to that. I’m ok with the power train

At that price point and it being the top level trim for that model all the interior lights should have been LED😑
needs less cladding bs and more led interior lights.
I'd rather spend $2k more and get the Tiguan R-Line edition.
everybody knows 1st year VW is a no-no, lol! 2nd year hopefully Power tailgate and mirror light.
man VW are know for electrical issues as they age. all that electronics....
SUV head lights are getting TOO bright for most normal use
safe $6000 tiguan s. non sence lighting
The lighting is cool, but overall is a pretty bland car.
