See, this is actual thalassophobia. No giant monsters, just a lot of water and vast ocean. Most thalassophobia videos are actually underwater megalophobia videos passing themselves off as thalassophobia videos.
I agree! Well to be fair, those videos are a mix of thalassophobia and megalophobia. Both fear elements are in there, not just one. But the real pure thalassophobia is exactly like this video here!
@@44excalibur But the ocean is also in those videos which is what they're saying. The thasslophobic elements are still there. YES FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE GETS IT! @@habadasheryjones It was always hard to pinpoint my fear I assumed it was thalassophobia but I dont have megalophobia when its outside the ocean. I suppose my fear is the combination of the 2.

They do count, I also have Thalassophobia and those videos are effectively my nightmares. Literally, the number of times where my nightmares have followed me being hunted by an unfathomable horror in the deep dark is getting a little high. And that's the thing- Thalassophobia is a broad phobia covering multiple topics. For me, just as I am *terrified* of being trapped at sea, floating there and waiting to drown, I am equally if not more scared by the prospect that there is something underneath me. Whether it's a giant eldritch horror or a simple shark, either of them would scare the hell out of me, and that's valid.
@@jonahfalcon1970 I'm scared of sea monsters because they represent the unfathomable horror of what could be underneath me. Which is one of the many things that Thalassophobia covers.
I don't know if its only me about there's this very one thing that I fear. I use to take bath in late hours daily, and while I'm showering like literally when the water is poured down my head we all close our eyes obviously :D , but here when I close my eyes, I have this one fear or what should I even call it "phobia" ? That what if I just teleported naked in the middle of a stormy ocean say " The Pacific Ocean" alone in the dark. You can't see what's going on around you yet you can feel and hear it. You scream yet no one hears you.
Hey man, this is extremely left field but I have a question. I am using these two addons to make something similar to what you are doing. I have an issue with rain drops from uds weather not despawning when they hit the water and pretty much if the camera goes under water you can see the rain drops. How did you go around that? Thank you!
If I remember correctly, I rendered a seperate pass for the underwater and underwater surface only. Used it as a mask in compositing. Then rendered two versions, one with rain and one without - and combined them in post.
Damn this one is scary. No visible monster, just the dark abyss beneath you.

First seconds of the video: "Eh, it's not that bad... A bit lonely but almost relaxing."
The boat start sinking: "Oh HELL no! 😩"
The truest form of thallasaphobia I've ever seen.
Yeah finally no exaggarated "ooh spooky big monstaaaaah" crap, this is the ONLY meaning of thallasophobia... It's the UNKNOWN that terrifies.
The scene at 0:36 is great. The ship with the lights looks like a face going down the deep
The smile erased from my face when that boat started sinking, jesus
Yeah, before that I thought it seemed pretty peaceful.

Was waiting for the giant sea monster destroying that boat . Great animation btw
It was better without. The eerie darkness and calm under to the storm above. The sea monsters kill it. The ocean alone in this scenario is terrifying.

The worst part is that it looks like it's not offshore, but deep ocean. Can't swim anywhere. No rescue boats or planes can see you.

Perfect thalosophobia video I have seen on internet. And its was very scary

I had a moment of fast heartbeat right there
Worst nightmare…
Well, one of them…
People are scared by this? This is awesome, the ocean is badass
Before it started sinking, I thought it was pretty peaceful and that I’d love to be on that boat.
Reminds me of being a tiny kid in a shallow bath trying to get the floating stuff to sink by just adding a little water to the inside the stuff.
For the first time in my life I put down my phone in fear.
I don’t know if I’d have a heart attack or throw up first. I’d just want to die so bad.
Yeah that's it...the real thalassophobia 😪😖
Can’t even watch when it goes under, triggers so much fear 😓
Only issue I have is the boat looks like a toy boat.
"Oh, no! My boat is sinking to the bottom of... my bath tub."
I’d rather sink with the boat than be stranded alone at sea…let alone if I’m just swimming😰
That scene from cast away where the plane is sinking, that was a whole new scare for me.
The best.
Me thinking: “Damn!….I left my sandwich on the boat.”
In this situation.....I would just simply pass the fuck out and die.
My worst nightmare!
That was scary
I remember seeing my first drop off of the ocean floor. This felt similar.
You're not alone
I wonder how those people from the Titanic felt that fateful day on April 1912 when they were floating on the freezing waters of the Atlantic.
This is hell
Needs Cthulu, or a warning that I've entered the ecological dead zone.

This got me panicking
bro you got to make a tutorial on this as there are close to none who cover topics like Thalassophobia using unreal. Please I'm begging you❤❤

The icing on the cake would to have shown some shark silhouettes during the viewing of the boat sinking underwater.
"You're on a fishing boat, you were in the water, you were shot, look there are the bullets!"
Awful
