    One of the best tree stumper grinders I’ve used. I rented it. If you could ever buy one it’s money in the bank. Easiest money I ever made thanks for the post

    I must admit that after watching you stump grinding I wouldn’t mind trying one just for the experience . As with anything new there is always a learning curve , good work . 🇬🇧

    After viewing several stump grinding videos it appears to me that the Barreto 30SG is better than the TORO STX-26. It looks more stable and would be better to use if on a hill. Of course I won't know until I get into it. Thanks for the video.

    Not a bad little stump grinder.
    When I need to get all the stump out I need to trench my way to the stump. So when I actually get to the stump I have a huge trench that I am in and well below the stump when I get next to it. Lots of dirt to move. I don’t do it unless it’s necessary like pouring concrete or foundations.

    You did a very nice job for not having a lot of experience. Stump grinding is just like anything else the more time you spend doing it the better you will be. All you have to do is look and listen to the machine it will tell you what is wrong. If it starts bogging the rpm down you're pushing too hard. As for as sharpening the teeth there's plenty of places you can send them too. But then again it's a rental not your problem.

      Thank you Michael! Yeah I went to youtube for tips on how to run and operate it and that helped alot! Totally agree, experience is everything for sure, especially with equipment! Thank you for watching and commenting!

    Oh, there's no easy way to grind a stump. It a pain no matter what. I guess the quickest is to get an excavator and dig them out. Takes a good size excavator to do that though. Heck, just get it the best you can!

    Thanks for the video! I am trying to decide between a Barreto SG30 and a Toro STX 38. Have you rented the larger Toro as a comparison? I'd love your thoughts.

    maybe you should get a m1 silver or m1 gold leanardi wheel. then you would be cutting much faster smother and less cost for upkeep. most grinder this size or smaller or not much bigger should only cost the custmer $50-$70hr and that seams more then fair I think

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, the only problem is access. If you are trying to get to a stump in a backyard with limited access it may be hard to get a skid steer back there. The great thing about these units is that they are small and compact and can easily get into areas a skid steer cannot.

    Those are $1,800 new. So if you got an estimate for $1,000 or so to remove some stumps from your property, you might as well buy one yourself and then do it for others for profit in your spare time.

      @@redthumper250r4 sorry, I meant you can get one for the home for $1,800 new. Not that particular model. I rented on for $200 for 4 hours and did a pine tree stump that was 30 yrs old and one maple tree. Slow and easy, small cuts. My local guy said people came in screaming it did not worked, JUMPED up and down, etc. He asked how I had no problem. I said "I watched the video on youtube on how to use it. Slow steady cuts a little at a time". He laughed.
      Now I bought one for under $1,500 that's a 13hp from home depot. I've done friends stumps for $100 so it's paid for itself 3 times over.

      I use Filmora. You can download it online. Its super easy to use, its inexpensive (a lifetime subscription is like $70 bucks or so) and there are a ton of tutorials on youtube so if you want to learn how to do something or have questions, answers are easy to find. Hope this helps! Thanks!

    where can you take the teeth to get sharpened?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you have to send them off somewhere. Stanley Genadek did a vid with some guys that made their own home-made sharpener for stump grinding teeth but viewers were quick to point out that this is not advisable as these teeth are likely made out of tungsten carbide metal which is hazardous when the dust is aerosolized and breathed in.

    • @jeromyw385xp

      most teeth for stump grinders are one time use and cant be sharpend. there made to be used and then scraped after use because of the hard material there made out of.
