For anyone watching, u only need to push the cutter circle button on top down 1st and then you squeeze the trigger at the same time but also lift up your thumb from the circle engagement button on top and only need to squeeze the handle trigger. It says it in the manual. Thats just a safety engagement. Button 1 then 2 while holding down the first and then you hold the trigger and let off the 1st button on top the handle.

I’ve got to do this, so it’s great I got to see you do this demo. I’ve only got one stump….but, it’s a b*tch of s stump. And, it’s REALLY dense palm stumps. The tree itself went through two of Home Depot’s chainsaw’s. Then again, a cardboard box could break an abused Home Depot tool. At least here in Orlando, FL. Anyway, I still think it’s a cheaper way to go than having someone else do it. I’ve had horrible luck with hiring people to do any work, as of late. Thanks again for showing this.

Good luck. This machine worked pretty well even with dull cutters. Thanks for watching!

Thanks and thanks for watching. Totally worth it and really simple. Would’ve been a bit quicker with sharper teeth on the grinder though.

Hi-question, when the stump grinder threw the rock, did it throw it forward away from the grinding wheel or did it throw it back at you? I'm renting one of these in a couple weeks so I am trying to cover all the bases. Thanks
    Randy

The blade spins towards you but the rock flew away from me. It definitely throws stuff quite a distance. I actually cracked my GoPro lens when I was filming the video lol

@@theguyofalltrades okay, thanks for the response. I actually plan on setting up a tarp as a curtain in front of the machine just in case. I have an area where I will be working kind of close to the street. Thanks again

How long did it take you to do all the stumps?

    • @theguyofalltrades

It was about 6 hours. I ended up paying the full day rental because I had to clean the machine and get it back to the store too. I did 8 total stumps. Definitely matters how sharp the teeth are on the grinder. If they are rounded off it’s not going to work as fast.

How long did the 30 plus inch stump take?

Couple hours but the bits were pretty dull on the cutter. Should be much faster
