Nice one Frank, a very blustery one there mate . The Pap is a cracking little hill , the views are outstanding ..I'll need to revisit it sometime ...good stuff ..cheers Stevie
Cheers Stevie, I only decided on that one as I was driving north and all the munros were clagged in. Glad I chose that one as it’s a wee cracker. Thighs were killing me for days after it tho🤣🤣 Cheers Stevie ATB Frank
Cracking video mate. I was up there the day before you on the Saturday lol (Im editing the video now :) ) Steep wee bugger and was windy as hell that day too, but loved it. My wee effort will be out next Thursday. ATB Donny
Cheers Donny, it’s a cracking wee mountain with views to die for when you get them. I’ve done it about 5 times now and loved it everytime. Look forward to your vid next week and I’ll catch tonight’s later on.👍 ATB Frank
Thank you for the view of Scotland. I'm an American of Scottish descent, and I may never be able to travel to see these sights. You have lots of rocks, like we do in New England!🎉
Hi Jeanette, thanks for watching and commenting, yeh we have some beautiful scenery in Scotland which I hope my videos show. Nice to know you have Scottish roots Jeanette. Yeh we have may rocks over here, sometimes too many🤣🤣 I’ll you have nice scenery in New England. Thanks again ATB Frank
Hi Frank, lovely video mate, what a racking little hill, some great views I bet when the big boys are not clagged in. As alway thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us. All the best, Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴🏴
Cheers Dave, it’s a brilliant altho steep little bugger, been up it about 5 times now and the views on a clear day are 2nd to none. I love it.🏔👍 Thanks again Dave ATB Frank🏴🏴🏔👍
Great video Frank. I could easily recall some good memories of climbing it last autumn with Skye, my Golden Retriever. Not as windy then and we got very nice views. I'm going to revisit it again when I get there next month. I'm thinking of including a climb of the nearby Munro on Aonach Eagach if it's clear. I don't see myself heading along the ridge itself, so it's just another way of bagging one of the Munros. The middle Munro could be walked to from the Loch Leven side according to some walk reports, but that's for another time. Thanks again for a great video and good on you for not sliding down, when you nearly did 😉ATB Karl
Hi Karl, thanks for the watch and comment, appreciate it👍 Yeh it’s a cracking wee hill with stunning views on a clear day. Taking in the munro is straightforward as well Karl. I did the 2 munros from either end without actually going across the ridge. Hoping to do the ridge this year tho. Ahh golden retrievers, best dog breed out, mine passed away couple years ago aged 12. She was a stunning retriever and sadly missed.🥲 Yeh that was a near miss on the way up, I usually go on my arse roundabout there.🤣🤣 Thanks again ATB Frank
@@hikingwithfrank315 Agree on Golden Retrievers they are great dogs. Skye is 8½ years now, but I hope he has a few good years in him yet. He's the reason I drag myself away from the computer now and then to go walkies. Otherwise I would just sit her and get fatter 😜He's always leading the way up the hills and finding the best paths most of the time, only sometimes he thinks the best way is through the mud and bogs 😉ATB Karl
Nice one Frank. The wind was fierce up there, quite a difference from the weather i had during the week. I did the Pap and Sgorr Nam Fiannaidh way back in April 22. That was the trip of the wild camp in the Lost Valley and the start of my munro journey. I was expecting the Pap to be easier as it wasn't as high as a munro , i was naive back then 🤣. ATB Andy
Cheers Andy, yeh weather has certainly changed, back to the usual now🤣🤣 Yeh that was a while ago now and look where you are now, well on your journey. That’s a few times I’ve been up the pap now and my thighs are always very tight for a few days after it, steep wee bugger🤣👍 Cheers again mate Franko
Nice Frank, one of my favourite hills the pap, Sgòrr na Cìche, The peak of the Breast….its well named and a great wee hike….was up in Glencoe yesterday for my birthday, did the 2 Lairigs (if you’ve not done it you should but gaiters recommended) followed by lunch at The Clachaig and then a walk to the Glencoe Lochan and back….grand day was had….take care mate, Steven 😊👍🏴🏴
Thanks Steven, yeh it’s a great wee hill and it certainly excersises the leg muscles🤣 I’ve never done the 2 Lairigs but I’ll keep them in my radar. Happy birthday Steven, sounds as tho you had a good one.👍 Cheers mate ATB Frank
