I love Zarna and Zoya so much but Shalabh is the Silent rockstar 😂 His jokes make me laugh so much! 😅 Great podcast you guys! Looking forward to the movie.
Karan Johar was definitely missed a lot in this episode :) ;) ! I personally love ur podcast!! Urs & Shalabh's banter is the cherry on the cake. Also India's obsession with becoming doctors is diminishing with the newest generation. U should get the kids to see & experience the new India especially metro cities mumbai in particular.. :):)
Hi Zarna maam , just want to say i absolutely love watching your videos , the way your family and you are just so candid and creative especially Brij and Zoya and ofc the little one !! You make so relatable videos cause as an indian i can so relate and laugh non stop , Keep up the good work !! 💝 LOTS OF LOVE FROM INDIA !!
Definitely the funniest episode until now! Very important and required topic; what a way to present it! Bringing in the power couple and asking straightforward questions to them! Keep it up Garg family!
Loved this episode. Roushan and Karan are such sweet guys. And Zarna you and your family bring light and joy to the world. So wholesome. What the world needs! Sending love to all.
I have a few friends from India and they are Hindu. They say that being gay is not any issue in their religion. I like to learn about this religion and it is so deep; lots of conflicting information from one teacher to the next.😢 Much ❤ to Zarna, family and guests.
Zarna ur husband is a very calm chilled out guy and your youngest son takes after him as of now, other two are like u very witty.Love your show its so natural
This and all your podcasts have been really wonderful, Zarna Aunty!! LOVE it SO MUCH!! One thought I had with this podcast was - I think more Indian parents accept gay sons relatively more easily than lesbian daughters. And it is REALLY hard to be LGBTQ+ in the Indian community. I'm not saying it's easy, but there is more of a visceral need for control with daughters.
This is the best podcast so far, it was fun and also enlightening. It was really nice to hear from them they are really warm, all I could say is that I enjoyed the whole session and eagerly waiting for the film !! by the way SC accepted that homosexual marriages be allowed but left it to legislators. i think this movie is much needed for indian society to accept them and allow them to live with the gender they identify with. i think it is our social responsibility to support the cause
I have watched only a few podcasts of the Gargs, but this one is the best!!!🎉 Missed Brij - it would have been a lot more special with him in the episode 😊 Karan and Roshan makes a great couple!!! Will see where I can watch A Nice Indian Boy. Congrats to the entire group!!
Everyone deserves to be loved, to be seen and to belong…. How amazing using your platform creating awareness and breaking stigma surrounding gay relationships within Indian communities, Many Blessings To You All ❤🙏🏽❤
Whenever I hear Karan’s voice, all I hear is Pavitr from Spider Verse and he’s my favourite character in the movie because I’m part Japanese from my mom’s side so since India is part of Asia, Indian culture has a special place in my heart. 😁😁😁💕💕💕🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🪷🪷🪷
I can relate to Karan and Roshan's story: I discovered my sexual orientation through watching porn and I'm going to therapy (but it's for free paid through my state level job) to overcome it. I'm trying to come out to my parents but I'm not sure how to.
I liked Karan; he is amazing. However, I will give an A grade to Roshan because, well, he's not just stealing hearts; he's saving lives - the whole doctor vibe. As a gay man who is in his early twenties living in India, especially in cities like Bengaluru, surrounded by homophobic people, Your power couple game gives me hope for a fabulous, drama-free future. As a Potterhead, when I saw Karan with Daniel Radcliffe, I was screaming. Please keep me updated about your movie, and could you also let me know where we can watch it from India? A heartfelt thanks to Zarna Aunty and her family for this amazing podcast.
Amazing show !!! Thanks for doing this. Such awesome people and feel like a lot can be learnt from this amazing couple on how to treat each other . Can stop but thinking if onIy Roshan wasn’t in a relationship aunty Z had Zoya’s potential Ivy League groom right in front of her eyes 😂
I absolutely love how your little ones call the daughter as didi. Truly this should be taught to every Indian kid. You can see how much the brothers love and respect her. When they become adults, it will definitely transition into healthy sibling relationships. As much as zarna appears to be hard on her daughter on screen, behind the scene she appears to really work on fostering a healthy family environment. Many moms will show preference to males and the daughter ends up being disrespected. Eventually, these types of siblings don’t have healthy relations in adulthood. Good on you zarna!
I am in full of awww❤ this episode was one of the best!!! Shout out to your movie !!! Excited and eagerly waiting…… thank you for making everyone feel better!!!!
The A+ Grade goes to Veer for sitting so intently and keeping the same facial expression while everyone discussed romance, the LGBTQ+ community, therapy, while he most likely did not want to be there at all. What a Champ! LOL!!
Enjoyed this discussion- Indians from India 😂.. right.. because it’s different when you are half Indian/ mixed Indian or the family has been in the US for several generations!
Great job Zarna and family! I look forward to ur podcasts…i truly think u will be the one to bridge the gap between‘immigrant Indians’ and the Western culture! They have such curated views of what India is about-Bollywood,yoga and food! But u and ur family bring everyday Indian families to the limelight 😀
Love your family podcasts filled with genuine relationships, insights, meaningful conversations and laughter. I truly appreciate you enlightening us on gay relationships within the Indian community---breaking existing stigmas. Cant wait to see "A Nice Indian Boy". See you on the next round. Success!
Zarna is so against therapy but doesn't know that this podcast is like therapy for many people. A big thanks to you and your lovely family. 'A' grade obviously hehe.
LOVED this episode, Zarna! Just started following you recently and it is so empowering to see this episode. We need many, many more such open conversations and need to go way deeper in our community. Queerness has always been a huge part of our culture and Roshan is right about the impact of British and European colonialism on our herstories and how we know what we know. Huge fan of you and your family, loved Karan in Deadpool 1 and 2, as the voice of Pavitr Prabhakar and Roshan seems wonderful too! Your son, Veer reminds me of my son - we have a saying in Tamil that roughly translates to 'needle in the banana'. Veer's deadpan expression and then saying that one sentence quietly dripping with wisdom and searing observations is gold! Roshan gets my A! I loved his analysis and communication style.
This was really cool to watch, I wish it could be that way for everyone. I too am repressed with who I am and have known I was gay since I was probably 19 and I am not 35 and my family still does not know or suspect. It's religiously taboo and it's heartbreaking watching other family members get married and have that big wedding and children and all the love and support because they are heterosexual knowing I want and desire all those same things and in the end love and acceptance is what we all want and deserve but it's something I fear I'll never have. I'm still very glad for those who podcasts like this can help and I hope you'll do another in the future
