@Sexually Transmitted Disease. I know this ain't reddit, but username checks out. Why make fun of people's bad grammar? You just come off as an arsehole. Also, clearly the only issues are spelling.
@Sexually Transmitted Disease. Grammar is "the set of structural rules governing the composition of clauses, phrases and words in a natural language"; in other words, not spelling. Not that spelling isn't important or that bad spelling shouldn't be (politely) pointed out, but it's just not productive to just randomly tell someone their grammar sucks.
Wow these are great. I'm really impressed by everything here, though my favorite's probably your take on the battle theme. It's a crime this video only has 36 views. Subscribed, and eagerly awaiting what's next.
@@NightSprinter But I requested this remix to be based off of the MSX version, so it sounds like the MSX version. The MSX version is the AY-3-8910 chip that usually plays plus the expansion playing at the same time.
I never really cared about Final Fantasy enough to play them all, however i did enjoy Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings on the DS. i did play the first one though both on the NES and the Wonderswan version but unfortunately i lost my saved data on both and i just didn't care enough to try again. if i had to pick i think the Combat Scene theme is my favorite track.
You gotta play at least VI, that one is really good. Hell most of the Sakaguchi Directed and/or Produced ones are pretty good. FF 1, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX and X are pretty solid games. I dont think you could go wrong with any of those.
Sounds exactly how it was arranged on MSX but on the NES. Great job. Could you make a download link of these tracks? I would love to listen to them on my iPod :P
How were you able to so accurately mimic the MSX version? I'm currently working on a Master System port of this game and I would love to know what you referenced so I can use that to create the FM sound module version for the master system
@@spoonybard13 Ah, gotcha. I figured that's probably what you did but I wanted to make sure there wasn't some magical easy way i was missing first. Thank you!
I'm terribly sorry, I forgot I had purged my dropbox a while ago. Unfortunately, I don't have the original mp3 files anymore, either, but I have the original FTM at least, so if I get around to making new MP3 recordings of that, I absolutely will update the link in the description.
@@ML-bb2sd i got no problem with sharing my source files for chiptune stuff. Someone may learn how to do this themselves by analyzing my work, and that thought is part of the reason I keep doing chiptune stuff, heheh. I'll see about uploading that at least a little later today.
+infinitecanadian I don't think I can do that. 1. I'm worried I'll take too long to finish it just like this one. 2. I'm already working on other Genesis/Mega Drive OST remixes. Nothing personal or anything, I just need to make sure I'm not overloading myself with long-term projects, which is part of the reason it took me so long to finish this.
Someone needs to make a rom hack of the original FF with all this amazing music inserted into it I’d play the hell out of that
To bad the hardware woud not handel the music and the game itselve at the same time

@Sexually Transmitted Disease. 'attack', you mean?
Are you sure? The chip would do most of the heavy lifting. o.o @@NinoJoel
Awesome job on the remixes! I was hoping the pixel remaster series would've included some more chiptune stuff like this.
As soon as I heard Prelude I knew exactly what these arrangements were going to be based on. Awesome!

+SmashBroPlusB Well, it's gonna get more views, because I keep coming back!
This has not aged well
EPIC!!! That combat theme is RAD.
The music reminds me a bit of the MSX version
That's because it is based off of the MSX version.
@@infinitecanadian true, but I'd say the MSX version sounds more akin to a VRC7 setup (since the VRC7 and Philips FM-PAC used the same YM2143).

This is beautiful. Awesome work, dude.
Finally, Fantastic!
And it's on the NES!
Brilliant.

Oh! This is based off of the MSX version with FM audio, isn’t it!!
Exactly ;)

+The Spoony Bard Great, thanks alot! :D
+Geno344 I actually requested that he base it on the MSX version, because the MSX version _without any doubt_ has the best music of any version.

I viewed the individual channels for the MSX port in a VGM player.

Is it possible to do a VRC7 of the Final Fantasy 1 NES ROM?
