I love VRC6 so much man, Shovel Knight used it and I want it to be used in more retro games. Also, your Mega Man remix was SICK (very ill) and I enjoy listening to it.
If you're doing Wily 1/2, you gotta make sure you did it with VSTs in FL Studio using someone's MIDI as a base and completely disregard hardware limitations, not make it actually good. that's just silly
Nehfarius It's not the audio that's the problem. Sloppy GXSCC jobs, usually using stolen and uncredited MIDIs, get a lot more exposure than covers actually made and put effort into by talented musicians, making most people wrong in what they think to be NES accurate and is just disappointing overall.
RecycleDucks Then the problem is less with GXSCC turning regular MIDIs into 8-bitsy ones, and more with the shameless dickbags who put that stuff up on TH-cam and take credit. :p
I used to have my own lyrics for this song that I would hum to myself when playing this. "He's really moving, He's really Moving, Oh yeah moving! That guy in blue".... All the silly songs I came up with as a kid!
sorry for disturbing you MR.8BitDancoot so many times, but we the megamaniacs are in love with your awesome remixes. We demand justice by uploading an NSF files for your remixes.
@ align and rushjet and danooct This is basically what I meant. Harmonizing above the main melody is fine so long as the harmony is at a lower volume relative to the main theme since the ear is more sensitive to higher frequencies. In this case you have to really listen hard to hear the lower one, which is the primary melody. If it is a remix and you are experimenting in that sense it is fine, but seeing as the bass line is identical to the original I think first listeners don't expect it
I would have, but I made this for a collab project (that's now dead) with Duane Zuwala, Joey Zadjino, the plasmas and a few others. It was gonna be rad, but oh well.
Thanks I really enjoyed this. I really like the additions you have made to the original, especially the high arpeggios. I am not sure if I am in a position to give constructive criticism, but I think that some of the new layers are good but detract from the main melody...there are notes at the fifth interval during the okkusenman "Demo" part that sound good but subvert the main theme. I dont think they should be gotten rid of, just lowered to balance the layering...maybe at a 5 to B interval.
Charlie Hein Could be possible if it had been a Famicom Disk System game as the disk drive added extra sound channels to the base console. But for the sample style used, it reminds me of the TurboGrafx-16.
I used to hate using trackers (this type of music software), but after a few months of practice, I can't stand using anything else. It looks complicated, but it gives you great control over every single note that you write.
@moopMASTER2000Films It's called Famitracker, and it's free. This same guy has a tutorial up on his channel about how to use it that I've found really helpful so far.
Hey there, I'd like to ask for permission to use this music in a video I'm editing for FullMetal Jayce. It's not monetized, and I'm going to link the song and your channel in the description!
I must ask How the hell do you record sound to mp3 or something. Screen capture and sound. Can you make a tutorial on how to get famitracker sound to mp3?
@Alignn >it's a remix
>there are added harmonies
>not off key
what did you think you were going to hear? the original song?
I love VRC6 so much man, Shovel Knight used it and I want it to be used in more retro games. Also, your Mega Man remix was SICK (very ill) and I enjoy listening to it.
VADER hey! How has that ended up?
"Overused song"? Pfft... doesn't matter, epic is epic. :D
Yup. Epic Is Epic. You Are The Most Correct Person
If you're doing Wily 1/2, you gotta make sure you did it with VSTs in FL Studio using someone's MIDI as a base and completely disregard hardware limitations, not make it actually good. that's just silly
Real pros just run that MIDI through GXSCC.
***** That's the joke.
CuppaBro
To be completely honest, awesome MIDIs will still sound awesome when GXSCC-ed. It's just not NES accurate.

I'm back 10 years later. This remix makes it fresh. I tell you what! And I really really mean it!!!!
*mind explodes*
i listen to the mm6 action adventure world album all the time, it was quite an honor to be working with them despite how briefly the project lasted.
to me Mega Man 2 has the best music of all the other Mega Man titles
job well done 8bitDanooct1
keep those remixes coming
Sorry (Hi for bad english)
+METALLICARULES11 That is one of the funniest comments i've read in a while.

In all fairness, there's a reason why it's overused. People never tire of it.
For me, Wily Stage 1 was the first video game music I ever heard that was so good I actually stopped playing the game to listen to it.
This is great. You breathed some new life into a completely overused song!
I used to have my own lyrics for this song that I would hum to myself when playing this. "He's really moving, He's really Moving, Oh yeah moving! That guy in blue".... All the silly songs I came up with as a kid!
What do you think of the BrentalFloss/The Megas lyrics?

All I can say is....wow...
Better be a banging banger.
Oh it bangs. It bangs hard.

Top tier.
Better late than never to listen to this mega-banger 🤘🤘
Que buenos arreglos!! D:
Hey, don't feel bad about it. This song STILL turned out super-duper rad. :D
OH MY GOD.
I WASN'T EXPECTING TOO MUCH EPICNESS HERE.
*dies of happiness*
We need to put this in a MM2 hack. NAO!
I would have, but I made this for a collab project (that's now dead) with Duane Zuwala, Joey Zadjino, the plasmas and a few others. It was gonna be rad, but oh well.
I am wooed by your honeyed musical bits. T_T so amazing!
This music to me, sounds like it belongs in a movie trailer.

A very well made remix!
That sounds awesome!
You made this song good.

the best megaman song
Thanks for this remix, it's great to listen to. And if the song is overused, it's probably for a very good reason. :)
Lovely!
AWSOME :D
Amazing
Hey, wait a minute! I uploaded my crap one yesterday. But man, yours is 10x more epic.
I request a VRC6 of Spark Man then :D
Would have been awesome it if it had a solo or something.
But this is really great either way.
This + Stereo Headphones = Epicness!
Still a banger!
AMAZING! It sounds great! Just out of curiosity, though, would adding the Q effect to parts in 0:43 to 0:51 have screwed it up?
I enjoy these Konami Sound enhancement remixes from NES games.
The pitch sounds weird in places, but I like the extra little backing instruments that the VRC6 can offer.
I really like the weird pitch, tbh.
COOL, BUDDY! There will be a mp3 download link? =) This is really nice!
epic!!!
People might think "BOO! NOT 8-BIT!" but I think "Possible in 8-bit."
This comment makes literally no sense. At least not in English.
Supervhizor Elaborate please? It looks fine to me.
Charlie Hein Could be possible if it had been a Famicom Disk System game as the disk drive added extra sound channels to the base console. But for the sample style used, it reminds me of the TurboGrafx-16.
Robin Everheart 'robinkom', yup. it could remind you of that.
iTweak0r * O
thank you sir :)
Sick!!!
This remix puts the music in the Mega Drive version of Megaman2 to shame, but the Mega Drive ports of the music still sound good.
GOTTA RUN NOW
GOTTA RUN NOW
HOLYSHITADRAGON
When ever this song hits certain notes my heart pounds and it hurts ;-;
The cringe is real
i'm twelve and everything is cringe
Egg - willy Empire THEME !
1/2? More like 11/10
This looks impossible. I'm also not a music maker? How do you make songs with Famitracker (I'm assuming thats the actual name of the program)
I used to hate using trackers (this type of music software), but after a few months of practice, I can't stand using anything else. It looks complicated, but it gives you great control over every single note that you write.

Of course it’s overused! But it’s still great!
"How to become a epic song a lot LOT MORE EPIC!" by 8BitDanooct1
>Implying.
what was i trying to imply here
I wish this version was in the actual game.
If this was the japanese version of the game
ftm/nsf added to description.
i did notice a tone difference, but i don't have a problem with it
You should revive the colab now that Duane and Brando got back together.
each one of those notes are a key press... :^/
Carlos Sierra I tell you, not only one... but many key press.
Angel Gabriel Ishk Rojas Navia but like, EACH note.
+Carlos Sierra Like using Finale, every single note is a mouse click. An eight page composition could be the equivilant of over 2000 clicks.
@Alignn its a remix not cover that why the key is different
O.O

How did you get a sawtooth wave
I think it's pretty bad ass. I'd like to see any of these a-holes talking down on this do a better rendition.
:3 Allot more BASS!
*mind pixel solidifies*
Not this one either.
my mind pixel is still a liquid am i doing something wrong?
DogsRNiceMineCraft Yes. You're doing grammar and English in general wrong.
this verbal and written form of communication is rather... annoying... time to ASSIMILATE
>:( NO!
Can I have the .nsf or .ftm for this? This is incredible :]
Any relation to danooct1? (Viruses)
MrEdrftgyuji I’m wondering the same thing.
Its the same dude
Yep but it has less like then....

I heard Megaman is dying.

Hi, it's really awesome, can you send me the .ftm file or can you put a mediafire link pls? I really like the instrument.
@nophysicsman It DOES sound like crap now.
The Nsf Download Did Not Work
The NSF link is dead.
I know lol
Danooct is awesome lol
You NSF download link is broken! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I was hoping he'd be in the Mega Man Maker Discord channel, but he's not.
And all of this could in theory play on an NES right?
And suddenly everybody shits themselves over a song that's been drained of it's glory
The NSF file is not available QwQ
someone have a correct link please?
