I love your bag. I’m excited for the pin pillow sewcial, I really don’t have time for big projects right now or really the drive and I love having cute little things around.
That is exactly how we have been feeling too Kara. We are still being creative without making huge long term projects. I think its why I have been crocheting more. Have a great week and I can’t wait to hear about your pin pillows!
Love this video! I love your blue pillow and your vintage basket for all of your little pillows and handmade things. Such a great idea for your new room too. I can’t wait to see the tour when you are done. So cold here too with snow. I get so many great ideas watching your videos.
Thank you Suzan😊 I am really excited about the new space. I love how you have different rooms for yours. It just seemed silly not to. But it sure has been alot of work!
Oh my goodness! I love that daisy pillow. You should make me a sweater out of that. 😆. I’ve been seeing so many cute crocheted sweaters. I love Heathers quilt-great job! Evelyn is so precious. I have that pin pals book-I need to get it out and look at it. Maybe even make something. 😊. Good to see you ladies.❤
Join us for making pin pillows! It will be fun quick little projects😁 I have been seeing the cute sweaters too!! I haven’t crossed over yet though😂 don’t tell Heather but it’s pretty tempting. Have a wonderful week!!
Thank you Jenny🥰🥰🥰 I am ready for sunshine and spring weather. The older I get the more of a summer person I am becoming. Have a great week! Hope you have warmed up
Everything is SO cute!! Of course I went on Amazon and ordered some embroidery books! I was giggling with you, talking about switching around rooms! Glad it was easy convincing your hubby! ☺️ Sounds like a fun plan! Can't wait to see it!! 🩷 Hiii sweet Evie!! 😻
Hi, Melanie! Just checked our email and didn’t see a message from you. Did you send it to craftycottagestitches@gmail.com? You can also send either of us a message on Instagram and let us know what email address to send the gift card to 🥰
Awesome video! I love the pin pillow Sewcial and will be joining the fun. I am going to try your method for sewing squares together, it looks so pretty. Thanks for an enjoyable evening. Stay warm and safe. Burr it was 11 degrees here this morning.
Enjoyed catching up with you both. Jeanette, I’ve been doing the same thing with finishing projects that I purchased years ago am loving seeing them finished. I did this last year and had to continue doing it this year as well. So many cute projects stuck away that have been needing my attention to make and enjoy, after all that’s what I originally bought it for. It’s a shame to just leave things stuck away in a closet that hard earned money was spent on, for me, it’s been working very nicely.
I agree Brandi! And when I pull them out I just think why didn’t I finish it? I still like it. Oh well we are finishing them up now. Tomorrow is finish some quilts day for me. They are 95% done. I am definitely going to be more intentional with my projects from now on. Have a wonderful week🥰
@@CraftyCottageStitches it's exactly what I say too "why haven't I finished this" or "gosh, I forgot I purchased this, it's so pretty must complete it to enjoy it". BTW - LOVE your granny square afghan you shared from your previous video. That's another project I started and put aside two years ago. Well, after seeing yours completed I pulled mine back out yesterday and took notes on how to finish with the bubble edge. It's lovely - can't wait to have mine done too! You both are so inspirational, thank you for sharing all the many things you do!
Precious through and through and of course, I am all in for the pin pillows! Love that fabric line so I will want it also for my bedroom. Full of ideas and inspiration, as always. Have fun with the "move" and the kitties. hugs
Yay! It will be fun. I have so many ideas lol. It was great doing little projects and actually finishing them all in a day😁 Is that fabric coming not the prettiest?!!! I AM OBSESSED. It will be perfect for my bedroom. I am trying to think of a few cross stitches to go in there. Let me know if you have any ideas. Have a great week!!
Great video guys love the idea of doing pin pillow sewcial. I'm joining in for sure. I love all the things you guys are showing. Thank you again for sharing. Evelyn is going to be a very crafty girl like her mom and grandma.
Loved your Daisy pillow. Love a tutorial for putting the Daisy pillow together. Switching rooms around is more of a chore than we think at first. I am sure everyone will enjoy their new space.
I have just found your channel and I'm so excited. I'm "old school" so I don't "starch" and I don't "block" especially acrylic yarn. I think sometimes people make crafting so much WORK that it ruins the fun of crafting. Nothing needs to be perfect as handmade is the best made because it's made with LOVE. Anyway, I agree with you about blocking. Love the way you join your blocks.
So glad you found us Layne! I agree with you completely. Homemade is best. Crafting is our hobby. It’s suppose to be fun! Glad there’s more of us old school girls out there😁 Have a wonderful week!
So nice to see you all again! I love the diversity of what you share and all of your projects are beautiful. I can't wait to see the tour of your new rooms, I am jealous! The new Sewcial sounds like fun, I have lots of fabric that will be perfect for pin pillows. Count me in!
I love your videos! Those quilt tops you both made are so pretty! I bought as much of the Christmas Stitched fabric as I could afford because I love it so much! I did the same with All Hallow's Eve. (I believe that was the name) Fig Tree is a favorite! Your daisy crocheted pillow is so cute! Every time I see anything you too crochet, I just can't understand why I could never conquer it! Three people have tried to teach me! I bought "Crochet for Dummies". Still can't! I quilt, sew clothing, embroider, cross stitch & have several other crafts but not crochet!😭 Enough of my whining! Your little pin pillows are adorable! You both inspire me each time I see your videos! Heather, even though it's so cold there you still have hummingbirds. Yours must be a lot hardier than our Tennessee birds! Ours leave for the winter. Anyway LOVE you girls & Evelyn is a doll!
Thank you Debi🥰 I feel the same way with knitting! I am determined though so keep trying! It didn’t click for Heather for a long time. She just kept watching a ton of tutorials. Finally it clicked. We have Anas hummingbirds all year. Very hardy little birds and such a pretty sight in winter. I have a large stash of All Hallows Eve too. I love it so much. I can see a few pin pillows out of that come fall😁 Have a wonderful week
So much inspiration every time I watch your videos! You’re both so talented and always working on beautiful projects. Love your finishes! Janet, your craft room plan is a great one! You’ll love having your cricut out and easily accessible. I love a variety of crafts and paper is one of them, and I have a designated space for my cricut and it makes using it convenient. I’m working on my January heart challenge, and now I want to make a pin cushion for your new sewcial! I’ll have to browse my books and see what I can come up with! Have a great two weeks!
I can’t wait to see your pin pillows!! And heart project. I know they will be amazing. You always inspire me!! I am SO excited to have a craft space again. And to be able to declutter my sewing area a little bit. These hobbies take up alot of space😂 Have a wonderful crafty week!
I've never made a pin pillow before. They look so cute! I could probably hand-sew something together. I think I will give it a good try. 🤞 Absolutely love your crocheted daisy pillow! That blue is just perfect for it.
Thank you Elizabeth! You could definitely hand sew a pin pillow. And it would be even more special. I kind of like my daisy pillow too😊 I see more pillows in my future. Have a wonderful week!
Hi ladies! What a nice surprise!! Heather your quilt top is gorgeous❤❤ Jeanette all of your finishes are inspiring❤ Keep warm ladies. It was 3 degrees here today. I'm ready for spring!
The pillow is so pretty! I’ve crocheted for years but have never joined squares with your method. I’d love a how to video, I guess I’m a ‘see it-do it’ kind of learner. The quilts you both shared are so pretty! Stay warm!
I definitely want to make a pin cushion or too 🙂 loved all your projects. Hope to see a tour of your new space when finished. Now heading over to see this fabric from Melissa Gilbert lol.
Glad you are joining in!! We will definitely do a tour. Its just going to be a few months. We work at a slower pace now lol. And Melissas fabric is❤️❤️❤️
You are sewing a lot of beautiful things. For me, doing crochet is more relaxing than sewing. I have a question : What do you think about starting many projects in cross stitch in the same time ? I see many people doing that. Personnaly I start another project when first is finished. Maybe I will try to start many projects too.
It really depends on the person. My mom can do that sometimes but sometimes gets overwhelmed by that. It’s nice to have a small pattern going when you have a few that you are stitching because then you feel like you are finishing something more frequently. ☺️
I’ve been doing the same, Janet…..pulling out older projects and finishing them. They do take up space and I’m tired of them hanging around. No reason not to finish them! Beautiful projects as always, girls!
I am really enjoying clearing things out! Just seemed silly to keeping pushing them to the side. Now we will have pretty things finished! Have a wonderful week😊
I really like your quilt and small pillows, ladies. I just discovered Joanna Figueroa a few months ago and promptly ordered her Christmas Figs book. I love her choice of colors for Christmas. Jeannette, love that sweater! Did you knit it? I also love both of your eyeglass frames as I'm in the market for new glasses. Yes, a lot of love this and love that today, lol. Evvie is so cute and so well behaved. Lovely video today.
We LOVE that🥰 I did not knit my sweater. It is sadly not something I am able to do lol but one day! It’s from the Gap. Heathers glasses are Warby Parker and mine are just readers from Costco. I have Warby Parkers too but only wear them for driving occasionally. We both really like them. And Fig Tree is one of my favorites😊
I love your Daisy pillow & I'm looking forward to watching your tutorial on sewing them together. Do you know which CC pattern you have used? There is a ton of them & some sound complicated...probably just me! It is snowing in my corner of TN & temp going down to 0 tonight, we're not use to that here. Stay warm!
Ugh!! Thats cold. We aren’t use to those temps either. Rain and the 40’s sound pretty good lol. I will hunt and see which one I found. It really is so easy but the directions on some make it seem so hard!
Another craft room sound awesome. I have a question on cleaning if you don’t mind. How do you clean ceramic tile to get it to shine. I moved into a home that has tile and when I moved in the tile was so sparkly and even slick I’ve never been able to get it as clean and shiny as it was that day. It makes me feel like a slob. Do you have any tips? Thank you so much!
Have you tried vinegar and Dawn? I predominately clean rehabbed houses so all the tile is new. Or the tubs are so old theres no bringing them back lol. Sorry I am no help! But dawn and vinegar is what I use to remove everything. We use to use windex to get the tile shiny when I cleaned hotel rooms back in the olden days!
Another inspiring video! I’m making a granny square blanket too since I saw your start before Christmas. I’m really enjoying the process and I think I have completed about 40 squares so far, so hope I can figure out the join you recommend - it’s been years since I’ve made one. Have you tried the cotton stuffing for your little pillows? I ordered a couple bags from FQS and they make very firm dense pillows if you like that. I do lots of wool appliqué and make smalls and now it’s my preferred method - however if it’s for a pincushion, your pins are a bit hard to get in and out, but mine are for bowl fillers. Evelyn is such a sweet little girl- love her rosy cheeks. Have a great week and thank you always for sharing your time and talents! ❤🙂
Thank you so much Kathy🥰 I am glad you are making granny squares! We will do a real tutorial for the join in our next video. It is super simple. Just sounds harder than it really is. I did order some of the cotton fill with my last order. I am going to use it on my next little pillow. I don’t necessarily want pins in them all. Have a wonderful week!
I love your pillow! Thank you for showing us how to join the blocks! Where do you get the pattern for the Christmas tree quilt? And where on Etsy do you get the fig tree fabric? On Etsy?
Thank you Ellen! We both ordered ours as kits off Etsy. They came with the pattern but I know it can be found at quilt shops. Fatquarter shop has it. Seasonal patchwork is the name. The fabrics are all different pieces from many lines of Fig tree. Her lines always go together so well. I didn’t find anymore kits listed but the pattern is available on Etsy. You would probably have to find pieces that you like from different shops. Or check local! We were able to find quite a few that worked. Have a great week!
We do! We have Anna’s hummingbirds all year round. They rely a lot on the feeders (hence why the little buggers literally tap on my window when the feeder is frozen 😂). This specific type of hummingbird has adapted to hang around instead of migrating unlike the ruby throated hummingbird which we also can have in the summer time. ❤️
Ugh!!! Sorry for whining about 19 lol. But to be fair. We are whimps here in the PNW 😁 My friend texted me after watching from Montana. They were at -35. I do not miss that kind of cold AT ALL. Stay safe and warm. Have a blessed week
Hi ladies. Do you have a pattern for that crocheted daisy block? It would be great if you could do a tutorial and make one square for us from beginning to end. I Love you both, and im glad your back. Evie is getting so grown up she is precious we love seeing her. Linda from Rhode Island
Hello! The pattern is by Lullaby Lodge and she has a video tutorial and post with the pattern here www.lullabylodge.com/2019/04/daisy-granny-squares-learn-how-to-make.html?m=1 Isn’t Evie so big now?! She is growing so fast 😝 Have a great week!
Thank you so much for getting back to me and sending the link. I watched it twice. I love it and I can't wait to get started. Thank u both my enablers lol lol. You both do beautiful work. Linda from Rhode Island
Love all your makes! The daisy pillow is beautiful! Love the Seasonal Patchwork Quilt - went right out and purchased the pattern…it’s not clear to me however how to access the valentine version…do you know how?

You have hummingbirds in the winter?? We are in Ohio…they migrate from here usually in late September
Correction: it’s the rufous hummingbird we can get in the summer.
Real time temp on this monday morning at 10:30am is -3 windchill feels like -17...poor doggo has to go potty in intervals
Ugh!!! Sorry for whining about 19 lol. But to be fair. We are whimps here in the PNW 😁 My friend texted me after watching from Montana. They were at -35. I do not miss that kind of cold AT ALL. Stay safe and warm. Have a blessed week
@@CraftyCottageStitches I think when Temps are that low...we are all wimps..lol...you sray safe as well...
