I think my favorite way to learn about new video game related developments is to see them being modded to fit in Skyrim.
didn't bethesda say they were going to upgrade their games with something that took away the havoc physics engine stuff? so that the game could run at much higher fps?
i could have sworn they announced something like this recently.
@@user-tp5yb4hr4w if they do this is going to be an utter tragedy. There's a lot of great mods, made to fit the engine, that would break if it was changed into something else. This would be like the anniversary edition all over again.

i'm not sure, because it's only the havoc engine, not not the main game's engine itself.
you know how their games are limited by only allowing 60 fps tops, well this has to do with the havoc physics limitations, and when your fps are any higher than 60 fps, the game causes some issues with the game, suddenly NPC's float up and everything runs super fast making the game unplayable.
with that no longer being an issue, it should allow their games to not be locked of fps, which means the potential for stability and the user could potentially put even more mods into the game as that wouldn't be a limitation anymore.
however if there are mods that require the havoc physics, it could be an issue, i would assume that it might effect the bouncy titty mods the most though lol.
but your fps will be able to reach much higher fps, because the limitation would no longer be an issue, so imagine your game running at 90 to 100 fps, but hopefully this also improves load times as well.

Thank you so much for bringing this mod to my attention, and for the tips on installation. It did more for me than any other fps fix out there combined and multiplied by 2. While not as crazy as for you and some other people, the difference was huge for me.
When I last modded Skyrim SE in 2021 before the Anniversary update, I was able to set up a game with many 2k and 4k mods, as well as heavy outdoor mods like 3d trees and plants, Folkvangr with Origins of Forest, etc. (almost 2000 mods). I was able to run all this in 1440p at an average of 30-35 fps with Silent Horizons ENB in the Riverwood/Falkreath area (as a former, and still active console user, 30 fps is very acceptable for me). Last year, I wanted to sample CC content, and so I started a new modlist, only for me to see some truly horrendous results (that I still can't understand). I'm talking 32 fps on 1080p without ENB. I tried again last week with similar results (terrible fps even without ENB and using performance-friendly mods). Of all the advice online, nothing helped. I finally stabilized everything by reinstalling an older nvidia graphics driver from March 2021. This allowed me to at least keep 35 fps at 1080p with ENB.
I wasn't very keen on updating back my driver to risk trying this (and possibly ruining everything), but I'm glad I did. I don't have 60+ fps outdoors, but this mod has allowed me to go back to playing on 1440p with ultra settings (minus TAA), high godrays and 2k shadows with ENB, all without seeing an fps dip below 35 (I get above 80 fps indoors). I can't thank you enough for promoting this mod. I saw it on nexus, but ignored it because I had no idea it affected performance, and I knew my GTX 1080 on laptop definitely had no DLSS function anyway. I'm using FSR2 on performance settings now, and looking forward to a fun game once I'm done building my modlist. Thank you, once again!

Dude, i got 12-40fps even with 200++ mods, and my laptop use rtx 3060.
How much vram did u have ?
@@4ka13_andhikaihsan5 I honestly don't know. I had fps in the 20s with a similar setup, but with 1k mods and 1080p when I tried to start a new game last year. I actually went and reinstalled the oldest available nvidia driver I could find online, and it (surprisingly) helped my fps a bit. Now I am fairly certain that a combination of updated graphics drivers, and changes to the base ENB binaries since 2018 have contributed to the poor performance for me. Can't be bothered anymore. I'm now saving to buy a PC with the best everything in it. Skyrim will submit.
I don't think you should be getting anywhere near such a poor performance with a 3060. There's a youtuber: ItzDeepz, who has a laptop with a 3080 and is playing the Nolvus Modlist. He seems to get decent performance, FPS in the 40s and above (and nolvus has over 2000 mods with HDT, parallax, HQ visuals). You should check that your laptop is using the nvidia card for games if it also came with intel integrated graphics.

This video saved me my sanity after spending 6 hours trying to figure out how to get my game to work on my new 21:9 ultra widescreen as the ENB was killing my performance after increasing my resolution. The ENB upscaler on his patreon worked a charm, thank you so much!

Great video. I am using it for Skyrim AE and using reshade (including ray tracing component quint RTGI and SSR) with 350 mods. I use DLAA/DLDSR (2x) at 1620P and still hit 90 fps for my old 6700K cpu. At 4k - am hitting 65fps average using DLAA.
My old gtx1060 with this FSR2 improved 10-15 FPS. Thanks for your video.
This is what I’ve been waiting for and many others DLSS + ENB ( I don’t like enb dof anyways ) we should finally get over 45 FPS in riverwood and riften areas so happy this is coming along nicely.

Haven't played Skyrim in about two years so thought I'd go back in it with my PC upgrade. Damn... I thought mods were pretty much at the peak for Skyrim when I played two years ago. Yet more and more absolutely amazing mods keep getting added so I am not going to just play the same modded install again. Mind boggling how modders keep surprising me with this game even today.

I remember seeing that Community Shaders doesn't need the addition workaround to use alongside the upscaler, so you can achieve a beautiful looking game with CS + ReShade *and* have great performance with the upscaler (plus eFPS and Skyrim Project Optimization)
Is funny, I managed to use 2 upscalers at the same time, NIS and FSR, and using them in fullscreen without any major problem with my poor GTX 1650. From 20 to 40+ fps. Thanks!

Rather funny that something like this comes out the same week I finally upgraded my computer. Don't really feel like I need it anymore, would have been cool to see what it could do for my old system though. I'll probably fiddle around with it anyway once ENB issues are sorted out.
Heads up to people trying to attempt this, the one from Nexus can't be used with ENB unless you're using DLAA which doesn't upscale. In other words, you need to have the Patreon version which requires paying. TL;DR: this method isn't free for ENB users. It's behind a paywall. Don't waste your time with this unless you're paying.

This mod is a godsend! Def worth a few bucks imo. My 3050 is a 4gb on and constantly struggles to have maybe 40 fps and in a lot of cities it can lag to like 30. With this mod my fps almost everywhere is a smooth 60 fps, the only times it'll drop are in place where my vram caps out. And the image quality is nearly identical compared to having it off

Just read shit about enb and skse you can be in 8k(textures) and still need fps limit because you can have stable 120fps with super ultra moded skyrim like 3k+ mods with most of testures at 8k. This whole thing is dumb.

iirc he doesn't have a strick mod list and he is constantly changing and updating it. But he has a list of the base that he uses for combat and animations.

Just a heads up, it is possible to run dlss3 on rtx 2 + 3k series cards. Some guy managed to trick cyberpunk into enabling it. This means that in future people may start making mods for games that enable dlss 3 on older cards since the 2k and 3k series do in fact have the technology to support dlss 3. The only reason dlss 3 support isn't included on the 2k and 3k series of cards is so nvidia can try to make DLSS 3 a selling point for the 4k series of cards. Nvidia may even at some point support it officially once the 4k series cards have sold enough, but for now at least we know its possible and hopefully modders can find a way to make it work.
This is actually amazing news, considering I couldn't run nolvus at a steady 30 fps (it would drop to 20 - 25) on my rtx 3050. If somehow DLSS 3 could be implemented into this upscaler and made to work on the 3k series then I and many others like me that don't have the high end cards could actually run nolvus at 50 - 60 fps with the help of DLSS 3 making it actually playable. For now journey will have to do

Hey Mern! just wanted to ask about the specs that I have for my new laptop and since i'm very new to Skyrim modding I just wanted to know if my setup would be capable of heavy modding and if it would benefit from these boosts. My laptop is the Razer Blade 14 2022 RTX 3070ti. It has 16gb RAM, 1440p, Ryzen 9, 6900hx, and 1TB of storage. So cool, I turned Skyrim into an 80's movie with some edits with Reshader but for some reason my FPS drops badly with reshader's filters on so hope this helps!
80s movies still run at 24fps. So it adds to your experience lol

Would using mipmaps also benefit from this application? I'm thinking about regenerating mipmaps in CAO then regenrating LODs to see if there is any improvement in image quality. Not sure if this application also applies to LOD generation as well.
So my thinking was 4k textures with 1k mipmaps that could be upscaled using the DLSS 🤔

This only works for certain set ups e.g. weaker cards, less VRAM in terms of fps benefits but DLAA is a nice feature for the best AA solution and will breathe life into much older GPUs due to supporting FSR2 or in cases would properly allow for DLDSR on beefier cards for an even crisper image, it's actually amazing this is getting modded into the game.
On that note those with DLSS capable cards 20series and above shouldn't really run into issues unless it's on the lower end e.g. 2050.
That said this will do absolutely nothing to help drawcall issues, so if you suffer from fps loss due to that there's nothing that can help it apart from a beefier/faster CPU.

Mern, I seemed to have it installed correctly, I have the menu in-game. I'm running a 3090, and I haven't noticed much improvement. I did not end up installing Reshade for DOF (I dislike DOF and id rather just not mess with it). But, I wanted to turn on ENB DOF just to check if I was getting shimmering to tell if DLSS is properly active. No shimmering, does this mean DLSS is not working?
Im probably just going to wait untill this is fully compatible with an enb and then use it. I do need it. I do get some pretty hefty fps drops when i play. Especially outside. Thanks nature of the wild lands....But waiting till this is fully completed and compatible with enb and everything.

When I start a new game, the screen splits in two windows, one small and the other one big but I can just move in the small one. Any idea?
Saw huge jumps in areas that already saw high fps, but areas that drop below 60 without dlss still dropped with it. Its honestly slightly better without dlss due to the fact that it is obvious going from 130 fps to 70 fps so often. good idea though. Ill stick with just the enb and my 60-85 fps locked in
I have everything installed, but I'm running into resolution issues. I don't really understand how to set my resolution properly. If I want to upscale the game to 2k, but play at a lower resolution for frame rate, do I lower my Skyrim resolution through BethINI, or on my actual monitor?
I really hope this comes out soon enough, I've got my perfect modlist ready but I'm just averaging 50-55 fps which is playable but it would be perfection to be able to enjoy it in 60fps

i remember when i had a 240hz monitor and got used to it, 140fps felt like lag to me. then i got used to a 144hz monitor and now 80fps is what feels laggy

I get higher framerate by using Nvidia upscaler (NIS in Geforce Experience). Just set any resolution lower than your native screen resolution in Skyrim and NIS will upscale it to your native resolution. It's not as good as DLSS but it give more performance because it's done by the driver while this upscaler is not DLSS integration to Skyrim engine

Just a quick question regarding this mod, surely this mod is now obsolete? for rtx users? i only say this because i have an RTX GPU, in my nvidia control panel i have enable DLSS features, allowing me to render the game in a higher resolution anyway then downscale it to the native resolution, i also am running over 300+ mods with enb, so theoretically this mod would only benefit people who don't have the DLSS feature available to them, or do you use this mod yourself with your rtx?

The setting in the control panel makes the game run at a higher resolution and then makes it smaller. This results in a better picture but it is more demanding since your pc has to render the game at a higher resolution. The mod allows you to render the game at a lower resolution and then use ai to increase it. And it is easier to render a lower resolution resulting in a performance gain

On 1050 ti, fresh install, fresh save, strictly dependencies and ReShade only (6 active plugins).
I lose 10 frames 58->48 on the highest performance setting (ultraperf), and lose like 30 on the highest quality setting (native).
Edit: I set my resolution to 1280x720 in SkyrimPrefs ini, no dice. FPS still drops about the same amount, even on the lowest upscale setting.
Maybe FSR2 doesn't play nice with some cards.

mines just black like the game is running but there no image just the hud and audio i can move like normal but just black is there a fix
