I went the copy effects route with this too 🔥 normally it's other people in my playgroup who pick up the super busted new commanders from a set, but not this time. Stoked to play it!
I built a Sauron deck and I am going to be testing the nazguls as part of the 99 to see how it goes. Also included cards like Maskwood Nexus and Arcane Adaptation to help pass around counters
Dude I love this deck idea I'm definitely going to go in a direction that you're going except Robin's place quite a bit with high-end cards in lucky enough to own
I love my $50 budget Talrand deck . When I was looking at the LTC spoilers I saw this and was like yupe making a new Talrand deck. Getting value out of spells that make tokens is pretty slick.
Im building an any commander can be voltron- equipment deck, using indestructible equips, mithril coat is my jam! I dont see all the nazgul getting too affordable just yet but i would love one of each for a 9naz 7dwarf deck yhat would be hilarious, especially with changelings and clones. I was not expecting your thoughts on the cloning of nazgul- thats insanity and funny enough i have a dimir deck that would just love the nazgul for just this kind of ridiculousness lol
I have a Talrand deck I love ! It runs only 1 creature (Hullbreaker) and polymorph. I also love the decks concept of draw go, make 2/2s and counter everything. However, this new card is just SO MUCH better than Talrand. The small downside of flying vs menace and 4 CMC vs 5CMC is offset by adding black, getting 3/3s AND having a win condition on the commander. However, what cards SHOULD be put in from black if I want to keep the deck the same as my Talrand (1 creature only). I am thinking Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor etc
I understand running expensive wraiths for flavor, but when I’m paying upwards of 6 mana for one mediocre effect/body, I’d rather use up that six mana to cast cheap instants and sorceries and also net a wraith token
Man I'm struggling. I REALLY like Witch-King of Angmar (the mythic card) and started brewing around him with the nazgul and his other versions in the 99 for some mono-B aggro (toss in fun weird synergies like Hakon, Strongald Scourge so that you can keep replaying your nazgul and you've got a good soup), but this guy is probably strictly better for what I'm wanting to do. Don't really wanna make both. I feel like this guy's better for that but would require a little more build-around, whereas WKoA can be a little less commander reliant and more reanimation-focused...damn, the struggle is real.
Changeling Outcast.
You right.
+tainted strike
Tainted strike is really good as a finisher in this deck.

I don't think it's super busted, just busted.
This and Shelob might be my fave commander options for this set, just cause I wanna make a deck with all the Nazgûl in it for flavour.
Mmmm. Tastes like flavor.
I’m doing it now, along with an Ent Deck. Learning the game at the same time😅
Hell yeah brother excellent video as always! Great incorporation of the lore.
I learned to read this week, and instead of reading the books, I read a wikepedia entry.

Great video, loved the presentation and commentary 🔥 Will definitely use most of these cards

Im glad to see others are building around the Nazgul theme 😂
I think I DO want the the old Wraiths in the deck too because of the Swampwalk. Have a sub theme of giving people Swamps. 😂
Sweet deck dude, gonna save this my guy
Hell yes my brother.
First time viewer. I love your attitude, dude. Big like 🤘👌💯
In for this deck. My talrand deck is getting torn apart for this beauty.
Welcome to the Nazgul buddy.
I personally was thinking about throwing a lot of cipher cards in the deck as it synergies pretty well with the commander himself having flying.
I have 2 in there, whispering madness and stolen identity.
Hell yeah brother! Morgul knife's out, get to stabbing tricksy hobbitses!
Stab stab!
Keep up the great work brother.
Always enjoy your content
Another great video , brother ! Seems fun , for sure. I , too , love talrand.
It is, I haven't playtested it yet, but it;s fun to goldfish.
@@bettercommander looking forward to hearing when you play test it !
OMG! Do you have a deck list? This would be awesome to copy Nazguls all over! Lol
In the description my dude.
i'd be curious to see a budget les version of this
algorithm comment for this wraith content brother
Hell yeah, thanks brother!
1:49 to begin
Bust you miss a dynamite monologue and back story

Throw a mask wood nexus and all become wraith servants to the king. 🤴
I looked at it, there is for sure a build where you put in generic spell slinger payoffs and maskwood nexus.

Little different flavor, same general idea.

Mmmm. Flavor tho.
Sounds like fun deck.
Goldfish it, it's a lot of fun.

The ring is tempting you to build both. Build them both on Moxfield and see which you like better.
Would u be able to make a budget version?
That is the budget version! Just kidding. The most expensive pieces are the Wraiths.
@@bettercommander Haha allright :) Geuss Ill have to put a bit extra aside then :) Thx anyway :D
@@Renzonio Wait until after release for those. I don't know why they are so pricey.
I wanna build this but only have the nazgul you can have 9 of as the creatures, and than 70 low mana cantrips and a handful of enchantments
Could definitely work.
Definitely seems like an annoying commander to play against. Having 9 9/9s is pretty sweet though. Great video as always!
9x 10/11's but yeah it can get so much worse with clone and proliferate, our changeling and lord effects
