thats exactly what got me into Crusader Kings AGOT mod and the Bannerlord Realm of Thrones mods lol. So fun to play out all the scenarios and see what happens. in CK2 you can play as basically any GoT character you could think of
I'm glad they're following the book storyline. While unfinished it has a lot more consistent quality, and far more characters which will help with quest creation.
That's what I'm saying. I want to meet little Aegon and John Connington. It would be worth playing just to see how they think the story could end. It could have several endings as well, so I think it's perfect!
This will be cool to play in 8 years when it’s done, thankfully this will give me something to play for the next 10 years after that before ES6 comes out.
Imagine the Dragons in this Mod replacing the ones in Skyrim. They would be so much more terrifying due to their size being bigger than the vanilla versions.
The dragon model is incredible. A few textures on the castles look weird to me, a bit too smooth and not as detailed as the rest, but man, i'm looking forward to this release, it's going to be fantastic
I call that blocking out my object, I start with big squares and slowly add more details, I'm sure there's a team of 3D modelers working tirelessly to create all the different crenulations, windows and buttresses for those castles. Plus the all white smooth castles dont even look to have been given a finished texture other than some sort of initial texture the render engine gives objects when it creates them.

Well they have no problem re-releasing Skyrim every other year for full price, so maybe they should actually put effort in and update something? Ya know… other than a basic texture update.
You should do more of these videos. Projects like apotheosis and beyond Skyrim always need video editors plus you get to make amazing content out of it. Seems like a win win.

But, these sorts of videos are still entertaining and so I was trying to say that he should keep making this content if he can't find anything else.
I hope they make Winterfell castle much like what was described in the books instead of the show version. It's supposed to have two giant walls encircling the castle with moats in front of each one.

That's if in "The Boys", Once Ryan accidentally killed his Mother, it cut to the future 10 years later and he's suddenly a genocidal maniac. There's subtle foreshadowing, but no required Build-Up. You can't just hint to something, and then skip to it. It's lazy writing. Which is rightfully infuriating for what was such an incredible show with excellent writing, visuals, and acting.
God this project is looking even better then I ever imagined, just the ideas of playing a Northman fighting for independence or an andal supporting Stannis mannis

I’m impressed! I bought Skyrim when it first came out. Played it with my sons who were young teenagers at the time. Time passes as it does, sons are grown and on their own so I decided to step back into this world. WOW!! Seasons 5-8 made absolutely no sense, Season 4 was the start of the trouble and I saw it coming a mile away, I only found out in the past year that they scrapped GRRM's final episode screenplay Season 4 Episode 2 (Purple Wedding), but when I saw how the last episode of Season 4 turned out, how they slowed down Stannis and Davos' story and ruined them; killed off Pyp and Grenn for no reason which reduced the depth of the Night's Watch; killed Jojen in the most contrived way and cut through Bran's story to the point that his group wasn't in Season 5 at all, I knew it wasn't gonna turn out well, and it figures that it all started with the Purple Wedding episode
The fact that this is being based off ASOIAF and not the show quite literally had me fist pumping in the air out of pure joy!!! I was so beyond ready for disappointment. This is amazing news!! Hopefully the writing team knows that the show's biggest problems stem from before season 6 all the way back to season 1. In other words, for those who never read the books, I'm talking about the characterizations. Some of the characters are vastly different from their show counterparts, and not really in a good way. Arya for example isn't some cold-hearted murderer whose just out for revenge, she's perhaps the most compassionate person in the books and she really wants is to go home. Jon isn't this super boring straight-laced guy, he's full of sass and has ambitions. And there's plenty more examples(I'll never forgive the lack of Lady Stoneheart or Sansa being given the northern plotlines) but I'll stop before I go into a tirade and write a whole essay. Anyways, I'm really excited for this now!! I haven't really been keeping up with Skyrim news/mods but I saw this vid and have found my Skyrim & ASOIAF excitement returning!!!
Given how ambitious the questline sounds, I don't expect this to release within the decade. Not a dig by any means, but open-ended or branching plotlines and quests within Skyrim's framework are extremely complicated - and if you want to create knock-on effects of those choices where they affect the game world (which projects like to boast about doing), then you're talking even more time and resources. I don't envy these writers with such a messy task.
The playable races are cool. There should be a crannog-man, Dornish, Summer Islander, Wildling, part-giant, Brindled-men and Ibbenese races. Additionally, I think each Kingdom should be counted as a ‘race’, eg: Northman, Crannogman, Riverlander, Westerlandsman, Reachman, Stromlander, Iron Islander, Crownlander, Dornish should be the basic races. Of course, an Other or half Other should be a secret race.
This mod honestly has the potential to be the best mod in Skyrim and that's saying something considering how many utterly amazing and wonderful mods exist for Skyrim
if the mod starts at the beginning of the series, can we save ned stark? if so, I guess it will change a lot of things at the main level with a more or less unique storyline branch. personally I've been writing since I was little. if you are looking for dialoguists/screenwriters/quest writers, I am interested 🙂

I was wondering if the continents will be set in their own world spaces (i.e. Skyrim and Solstheim approach) instead of sharing one massive world space to account for the world size to engine load balancing ratio?
I love that lore-wise it's based on A Song of Ice and Fire like I believe The Game of Thrones Adaptation Mod by Kualan was supposed to be (does anyone have the latest release of that?)! Since all the decisions & events in the books actually have consequences past the 3rd book, unlike the show, D&D threw out GRRM's last episode Season 4 Episode 2 (Purple Wedding) & then slowed down Stannis' story, rushed Bran's story, then killed off supporting characters by Season 4's end in the most contrived way including Pyp; Grenn; & Jojen which arbitrarily reduced the depth of the show
I had an idea for whenever I get a PC and get into animation, I want to make a mod that replaces Skyrim's dragons with those more akin to the one's from Dragon Age: Inquisition. I'm gonna try to keep their design closer to the one's from Skyrim. And maybe when I do the first one, If the mod author would permit, I could possibly do a version for the Diverse Dragons Collection. But hey it's just a thought
