Virginie, there is a good possibility I am a descendent of Ben Barnett who fought in the American Revolution! He lived in Sutton, Quebec, his son Rogers lived in Potton, Quebec. I belong to both historical societies, and both areas are predominately french speaking. A special reason to learn french. If there is a reputable genealogy society in France that could offer suggestions on how to get documentation linking those 2 generations, that would be helpful. Thank you. I am hoping to become a member of SAR by july 4th, 2026. Thank you Virginie. I submitted a lineage worksheet to them, and I was invited to their luncheon locally in April in the Syracuse, NY area. SAR= Sons of the American Revolution.
Virginie, your videos are always entertaining, and educational. I especially like the little french gems you let out.
@@A13JMC thank you! I’m glad it helps 🤩

I can’t pronounce « oeil » , do you have tips???
Bonjour!
This is indeed not that easy!
You could start by saying « uh » just like in « but »
And then the sound « ye » (like in « year »)
Uh-ye 😊
@YukiTatutso
The german letter (Umlaut) ö is quite similar to the oe in oeil. May it helps a bit!
