Straightforward and simple. Nothing keeps me back from trying just a month. I could never hold a hand at all so even 5 seconds will be a win for me! I'll gift this video for my birthday in a week and try to attempt the whole January only this. Happy holidays, Sir! Super appreciative for the video!
Im 24 I just started getting back into exercise after a decade. My first goal im hitting is a planche push up for reps. My first attempt I sat down and held an L sit for a good duration, over 15 seconds so I tried going from an L sit to tucking my legs and going to a pseudo planche which I could also hold pretty well so I extended my legs and held my body straight but I couldn't push off the ground and return to pseudo or tucked planche without falling over. Every couple days i held each transition from L sit to planche for 15 seconds 4 times and now I can do about 5 without falling over and i return to another transition successfully. I also found that I can slowly extend into the locked out position of the planche and hold it, then raise the rest of my body straight into a handstand, and then back. Make note ive never been able to hold a handstand. Ive always been very strong for my weight its always been more of a balance or stability issue since ive always been able to crank out handstand pushups against a wall. I feel like when you jump into a handstand you're searching for balance while having a fear of falling some awkward direction which is counter productive. For me, im in a state of control as I enter handstand, when i feel like im waivering, I return the direction I came from. Theres no fear, i feel very certain of how my body lines up, how i got there and how to go back safely. I also end with a closer hand spacing that ends up feeling more natural on your joints
For me, the Frog Stand helped me to improve my balance. I did it nearly every day 😅 Yes, you can send me some videos. The link to my Instagram is in the video description.
