- This is all new airboat The North 650. If you are not in the know, airboat - it is quite a peculiar kind of transport. Airboats are very similar to hoverboats. The main difference is that any airboat doesn’t fly over the ground, it slides on it. The main feature of these machines it is ability to move not only on water but on many other kinds of terrain. Today we are going to make a detailed review of this machine and certainly some exciting tests in different conditions.

The best powerplants ever developed come out of the Steve Morris shop in Michigan. Up to 5000hp. Save yourself a lot of money and ship your containers full of LS engines to Steve he'll put hellacious HP in them.

Air boats are popular in the Florida everglades, and the swamps of Louisiana here in the states, they are also used for many rescue operation in the north for they are a quick transport across a frozen or semi frozen lake or river. They are extremely noisy, and as far as amphibious well you really wouldn't use it to cross a field, a small causeway maybe. Hoverboats yes, and like the airboat hover boats are equally noisy. You'd need hearing protection to ride in or on one. For boating, I personally like Jet boats for their low draft quality, but they have no amphibious qualities.
Very cool boat. For $100,000 it better come with a variable pitch propeller that can back up the boat or act like a brake. Kinda like a turboprop airplane. Their propellers can pull the plane into the air and with the turn of a control knob it can reverse the thrust to slow down once on the ground. It can also act like a reverse in a car pushing the plane/airboat backwards once all passengers are aboard.
Yes agree.., but not like a hovercraft, airboat is uncommon using variable pitch propeller..
Fethering and little bit reverse capabilities will give huge advantages.

Great boat, but high price. Needs mass production, ....and a big stainless steel muffler.
airboats don't go on waves, hovercraft with large enough skirts, can do that. airboats are noisy as hell just like hovercraft and not fun to operate for pleasure. the cabin is there to protect you from noise. not wind.

This boat needs a hot shoe not a hand throttle . It runs like it bow heavy when only running with a driver and camera person are in it and steering input with a constant left to right motion running at the 7:00 to 7:30 section of the video shows that . But hey , it is russian !! And the 125mph top speed , Yea right . hahahahha Maybe more like 50mph ! Besides the russian designs has been around for some years now . Makes a ok water ice taxi !!

Carrying capacity is 1500tons??? I don't believe you. You could not put 1500 tons of anything on a boat that small. And 126kmh is only 78mph pretty slow by our standards.

@@RMW the sleeping area inside is good, if it had normal outboard, and screwdrive instead of air, would be a bit more unique, also if a quabike could fit on the front with a boarding ramp...

@@asherdie airboats strike me as noisy, i like the idea of a screwdrive pulling over mud and other land, with an airboat theres only so much incline, momentum issues for land travel...so im saying a screwdrive catamaran of this size, that operates like the Pagurus, would be interesting, as in still amphibious...
@@neoaliphant I mean you could run a couple mufflers on the exhaust and all the noise would be from the huge fan. Would basically sound like a quieter Cessna 182 with the piston engine instead of the turbine.
