As someone pointed out Sharpe doesn't cheat in the books, it's a sad thing that the writer of the screen play would degrade Sharpe's character by such a deed.
@MpsAREthieves Regardless, if it was within the British Army he'd have been called out for a duel, so I thought with him being the enemy, and the insults etc, that he would have filleted him then :)
@NEdrumMajor1 The french were never really portrayed worse than the british. I mean my most vivid memory of the series is of the two (large) french officers walking away from the fort that sharpe was defending with this strange blinding powder.
trust me i know my grandad has a baker rifle and im in the ACF the baker rifle when i took it to a special range there was a man from the 95th there and he told me that story (a part from the new bullets part i learnt that in the ACF) but i think he would know more as he uses the rifle frequently
In the time it would've taken for Teresa to shoot Hakeswill, he wouldn't have had time to pull the trigger. Why she chose to grab the idiot ball here is beyond me.
theresa was his first love, but Lucille was his true love Theresa was his soul mate, Lucille his heart mate Lucille was the better woman for him, Theresa would have never been able to settle down with him, or go to england.
The silly thing here is you confusing fiction and reality. The other silly thing is the person who confused a great story with reality in the first place.
@nathnastyman With respect, the body doesn't always tense. In hostage rescue, snipers prefer shots from the side (to the temple) above all else to prevent a target from tensing on a trigger (or a "dead man's switch", such as an explosive device). I'm not familiar with doctrine governing shots to the eye. But I agree with you on the accuracy issue for Sharpe's time; there wasn't a rifle accurate enough in those days for precision shooting, including the Baker Rifles in the series.
Well seeing as phil is now a billion and looks like the crypt keeper, no. Maybe back in Phil's heyday but I'd say he looks more like charles, but with a more reasonably sized nose and ears
no because the reason the muskets were inacurate the lead ball would heat up after a few shots and soften but the rifle beacuse of the grooves it dosnt heat up as quick so it is more accurate and powerful its like with new bullets they are lead but coated in steel or iron to help them keep hardness and shape
I wish we could have seen more of Kelly
Fredrickson dismantling himself for battle. Haha!
Lo😂😂😂
Teresa was the only one of Sharpe's women who was worthy of him, RIP
When you see a character who could be cool bam they get taken out
It was great how he gave Kelly a band of courage.
Everyone needs a friend like Kelly. A proper mad lad that one.
Fredrickson is one of the best characters in anything. Knows when to shut up, clever not insulting. Pure gold
Aside from me being sad about Teresa's fate, I do wish she'd caught Sharpe with Isabella and ripped him a new one.
Never happened in the books that way
Pity she didn't catch him with the Jane character 😅😅😂❤❤❤❤
@@chrisanduncensoredjapan6627 Actually, in the books she did
At least in the T.V series they gave him some last words to his wife.
"Take it away." What a way to describe Obadiah.
A scummy piece of dog crap.
Teresa Moreno, is the most beautiful woman in the world.
As someone pointed out Sharpe doesn't cheat in the books, it's a sad thing that the writer of the screen play would degrade Sharpe's character by such a deed.
Yeah and actually Liz Hurleys character is the woman from sharpes eagle.
Good god. Liz Hurley is like a 16/10 back in these days.
Noooo! Kelly!
My Sharpe doesn’t half go through Docos Specs!!!!!
1:12 that was a good death scene. So far ones like these were the actors just like going "power off!"
@MpsAREthieves Regardless, if it was within the British Army he'd have been called out for a duel, so I thought with him being the enemy, and the insults etc, that he would have filleted him then :)
@welshygems Agreed and thats what makes this part so sad. It ranks up there with last fight in Sharpe's Battle.
Dubreton is brilliant

One of those men was gastogne I think it’s in sharpes treasure you can see gastogne kick a British soldier to defend his general
It was lime
Is it just me, or does Sir Farthingdale look like Prince Charles of England?
Prince of Wales more like
Spoiler alert... King Charles
trust me i know my grandad has a baker rifle and im in the ACF the baker rifle when i took it to a special range there was a man from the 95th there and he told me that story (a part from the new bullets part i learnt that in the ACF) but i think he would know more as he uses the rifle frequently

lol 10 to 1 and theres roughly only 40-50 men in the final scene
theresa was his first love, but Lucille was his true love
Theresa was his soul mate, Lucille his heart mate
Lucille was the better woman for him, Theresa would have never been able to settle down with him, or go to england.
They are all dead to him
As someone raised in southern Spain, living in England: true. Every day I have to bit my lip. English ppl are STILL a bunch of classists.
@@9inchpp in the books Lucille outlives Sharpe
@@guypierson5754 not going to lie, I do the same and I was born here, and so were my parents etc. Etc. The whole country is just full of shit at times
Lucille should have been sweet williams
Litrally cheated on her the night before….
@MegaBiscuiteater bugger Obadiah.
Taking her death scene seriously is really difficult after what he did just a few hours before.
@Windzir He does cheat in the books, only not with lady farthingdale... he cheats in Sharpes Sword with Helene Leroux.
It's weird that the deserter would ram the door instead of just lift up the bar and open them.
The silly thing here is you confusing fiction and reality. The other silly thing is the person who confused a great story with reality in the first place.

Very good point, didn't look at it liek that, clearly haha.
Why the fu** did Sharpe not end Ducos there and then?!
Now that we now the lessons learned from star trek, was it really such a good idea for the british to wear red coat? thumbs up if you get the joke :)
There's a good bit of dialogue in this one (specifically in Teresa's death scene) that doesn't show up in other versions posted on YT.
Kelly noooo :(
Poor glasses... what did it do to deserve such a fate.
9:00 SHARPE'S BOOT ON GLASSES of spy.
DUCO......SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SPECSAVERS!!
let me take off me whig and false teeth first...
hmmm, sounds alot like Game of Thrones....
I don't understand why Harper restrains sharpe when he first goes towards Teresa's body. Any ideas?
ur gay
@Isildun9 i thought he looked like charles
muskets wernt very powerfull but a baker rifle would easily shoot through it
2:30 What the hay is Teresa saying to Isobella? Tell tramp?
Tell Sharpe I think
good show nothing like the book
is just me, or does Colonel Sir Farthingdale kinda look like Prince-Consort Philip of England, Queen Elizabeth's husband?
Looks more like Prince Charles.
Well seeing as phil is now a billion and looks like the crypt keeper, no. Maybe back in Phil's heyday but I'd say he looks more like charles, but with a more reasonably sized nose and ears
the one thing that makes no sence at all is that darlin teresa being alone????? why????
@Isildun9 Just you I think.... :)
they do realise u can fit a bayonet on the baker rifles right
no because the reason the muskets were inacurate the lead ball would heat up after a few shots and soften but the rifle beacuse of the grooves it dosnt heat up as quick so it is more accurate and powerful its like with new bullets they are lead but coated in steel or iron to help them keep hardness and shape
@2:30 your breath smells awfully familiar...
@Eldroobaz meh meh meh meh
Is it just me or is sharpe REALLY hot??
Liz Hurley shld of married sharpe
