Love this! A (city)bus driver asked me to make her daughter a blanket from yarn she (herself/the driver)tried making a lap blanket out of. But found that crocheting just isn't her forte. She brought me 3 large skeins of super chunky gray yarn, including the swatch that she started which was plenty long enough for a twin size spread. But I couldn't duplicate her stitch. So this will be it! She's fine with whatever I choose.

Thank you for this most appreciated lesson! I have been crocheting for 40 plus years and have never found a stitch pattern that I absolutely love as much as this. Also, your beginning of the row ch2 alternative stitch is amazing! I have avoided patterns that require ch2 starts because of the awkward edge it leaves. Now the edges are straight and perfect. My project is special because my 10 year old granddaughter asked me to make a white blanket for her. Much searching found your video and it has been saved as my only “favorite “.

So every row begins with 2 uk trebles (2 u.s. doubles) and ends in 1 uk double (1 u.s. single)? And starting ch is any even number +3 at the end no matter what size yarn we use? Is that all correct? I love this stitch so much. Thank you Rebeka
