Oh the Isle of Wight is well worth a visit. The charity shops in Ventnor were particularly good. There's also lots of independent shops along the way. I'll check out your channel 🤩
Postcards. I definitely would have bought the stamps. That was a great find. I would have bought 5 or 6 but it would have been tempting to buy more. I can’t wait to see the donkeys! I also want to see the postcards 😁
Yes, I both give and receive charity shop gifts. I have one friend in particular who finds the most amazing things, and, as you say, it's the thought that's put into finding that perfect item that counts. I reciprocate in his case, but I am a bit careful with some of my friends and family. I find people fall into 2 camps, those who rejoice in charity shop shopping and those who feel it's all a bit embarrassing or turn their noses up at second hand anything. So I don't buy in them for those. By mutual agreement, when my daughter goes away on holiday she scours the charity shops looking for anything related to Buddhism as I'm a follower and she almost always manages to find something interesting and it's given to me a a gift when she returns home. I always pick up packs of stamps for my junk journalling and also any interesting old postcards. I'm also addicted to reading any messages on the backs. I see they are still putting the same sayings on the postcards as in my childhood, 60+ years ago. Nice video and some useful tips for 'thrifting' on the IOW.
POSTCARDS! I buy everything I can second hand and we have had a handmade/homemade/2nd hand rule for gifting for the last 8+ years it makes shopping so much fun and so meaningful. Lovely video thank you 🌻new sub✨
I need to make more charity shop videos! Really enjoyed this!! Have never visited the Isle of Wight but it’s definitely on my to do list!

13:02 those pink and decorative plates are so pretty!
Oh they are! I didn't spot them but that's probably a good thing. I'm not sure I would have had space in my suitcase.
5:38 I had that blue cup growing up! Lol the nostalgia I felt seeing that! Lol
😊 I have to be so careful with nostalgia items. Nine times out of ten I end up bringing them home

Definitely a case of knowing the person your buying the gift for to know if they will appreciate the thrify find.
