Paramo jackets absolutely brilliant for walking/climbing etc also might be worth treating with Nikwax before selling as they rely more on that than say normal gore tex jackets which use a membrane for its waterproof

I don’t understand charity shops some of there prices are rediculous. I know its for charity but they surely dont sell much and if they dropped there prices. They would probably make more money with more buyers. Theres a charity shop i visit local to me and it looks like they dont sell. Because the same stock is there week in week out. And they have a stack of donations in the back because no one is buying. They have items in there selling for more than ebay and amazon’s asking price. In the british Heart Foundation shop there was an iron man figure. I picked one of them up for £1 sold for £24.99 Including shipping. So that was a good buy for me. I love your content And when i feel like giving up reselling your channel gives me the kick to keep reselling. Im not doing it full time but hoping one day i can do this as a full time income.

Of the big names, Mind & Oxfam tend to be the shops I avoid as their prices are always stupid. Mind seem to price check literally everything so you need s miracle to find a gem in those. BHF aren’t far behind but you can find a reasonaby priced one from time to time. Cancer Research is the most inconsistent shop I find. They either charge the Earth or nothing at all.

I sell outdoor kit, that Paramo jacket will fly out! I normally sell similar ones for £100-£120 (condition dependant) can't believe you found one for £25! Is that the Alta 2/3? I'd aim high at £169.99 and I expect it'll sell comfortably!
Also, the Rab Nucleus fleece (green onea - the model name for Rab kit is always on the material tag) will sell well too. I generally get £35-£42. The green ones seem to be more popular

I feel these charity shops miss the point. If they priced those shirts etc at 10 quid instead of 50 odd, they'd fly off the shelf.
They're getting the items for free so holding out for weeks/ months for big numbers seems obsolete to me 🤷‍♂️

Who the hell do these charity shops think they are now? The prices at the start of that vid are plain disgusting. We are being told we are all in a cost of living crisis right now and I distinctly remember (for many, many, years) charity shops being places that you could go to and get some used clothes or shoes for a few pounds when you were unemployed or in other financial hardship, but now, whats going on in these places just sickens me. Yes you are a reseller, but the majority of people who go into these shops are not, and I have to ask myself just where the charity is when I see the prices they charge for things that were handed to them for bloody FREE. These places have gone from being a helping hand (for local people suffering and down on their luck) to some kind of supercharged vintage fashion departments that have no care or concern for those who really need them. I have actually seen clothes from Primark in a few of my local charity shops with prices higher than they were new from Primark themselves, I mean wtf? Personally I can't blame any of this on resellers either, because if these shops were still selling jeans, shoes, or tops for a couple of pounds each and both resellers and poor people were buying them, then what would that change? Nothing. But today these greedy gits are charging prices that resellers won't pay and underprivileged people could never afford and you really have to ask yourself why? The answer is easy though, because there's little to no "charity" in most of these shops these days, it's all being run like any other business, to make money for those at the top.

Go into any charity shop and you'll find your £3 pair of jeans and your £30 pair of jeans.
Just because they got stuff free doesn't mean they shouldn't try and get what it's worth.
Can stuff be overpriced? Well yeah. They're mostly run by volunteers who don't get a chance to check the exact value of everything - they see games and probably think that must be worth something. If you're unhappy with them and think you could price better I'm sure they'd happily have you volunteer.

Keep in mind the ever increasing cost of rent, insurance, business rates, utilities, cost of paid employees, maintenance these are going up on a monthly basis so yes charity shops are bound to try and get that little extra just like all the other major retailers are

They have costs like most buisnesses and have to get the best prices they can not just sell everything dirt cheap so resellers can make a profit proberbly selling for the same as they are asking in a lot of case. I as a reseller realise this but a lot of resellers are just hypocrites.
