    Great video! Noticed you didn't use the stove jack protection wall cover. Good to know you don't need it. I was going to ask how long the stove lasts, but your answered that! Good to know you don't need to strap the tent down to use. Looking forward to more videos about your new tent!

      Ours didn’t come with a protection wall cover, I know some of the others do but this one does not. We used it once and staked it down and the tent did well overall, we will see how it holds up over time- so far doing well.

      Same with me, I started out tent camping for years, then converted a cargo trailer into a toyhauler. Every year, I upgrade something in the trailer. Most recently, I bought a lithium iron phosphate battery and charger that is a vast improvement over lead acid batteries. Keep up the great videos they are informative and a joy to watch.

      Not sure if it was cut to big or supposed to be that way (tent comes with hole already in it from manufacturer). The tent still stayed warm enough just would like to touch that up before next winter and the temps are a bit colder than they were this time around.

    Hi guys, hey can you tell me if the koala 7 lets rain in through the zipper of the big clear side windows? I have this tent but have not used it in rain yet, and just wondered how important it is to use the rainfly. RBM sent me the Panda Large to review and I realized today that the large clear windows on the roof do let rain in through the zipper, so for that one you definitely have to use the rainfly.

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean
      @DirtyJakTheDustyBean  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We’ve only been in the Koala 7 in one good rain (one night) it held up great with no rainfly for us. Note that the skylights on the roof do not have zippers that open to the outside, no leaks when we use either tent. We’ve used the Octopus many many times in the rain with no rainfly and that one has held up very well. The Koala is going to be our cold weather tent this year, we will put it more to test here soon. Would love to try the Panda, love the open windows up top.

      @@DirtyJakTheDustyBean Great thanks! Yes the Panda is absolutely incredible, I have a complete setup and review on my channel, as well as one camping video that I actually filmed in my backyard cause I was so excited to use it I couldn't wait lol. The ONLY negative I've found is the dripping from those giant windows, but in their defense, the directions do say to use the rainfly lol :)

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean
      @DirtyJakTheDustyBean  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We didn’t have any issue with the tent smelling like smoke. The stove exhaust well and the tent is vented just in case a little smoke drifts in while loading more wood in the stove.

    How well did the air pressure hold up in the cold temps? Did you pump the tent up a bit more before you went to bed?

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean
      @DirtyJakTheDustyBean  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So far we have 3 nights of pretty cold weather camping in the Koala 7 and no issues with pressure in that trip. We have 9 nights so far in the Octopus in mainly warmer weather and has been also very good with the pressure but did add air one time when pressure showed at 6lbs versus 6 1/2 where we inflate to. Doubt it even need to be added. We have had some nice temp swings and so far both inflatable tents have held up pressure well.
