yes, I would be more of a "summer" camper, than hot-tent snow camp camping. When we used to go "camping" ... we had a nice Chevy van with a queen size bed built in. 6-inch foam to sleep on and it was more comfortable than our bed at home. We went in the summer time and would be water skiing during the day and quaffing down Michelob on the opposite side of the lake from where our camp site was. We called that the "day camp". Now THOSE were the days. We used to bring a pot full of spaghetti sauce for our Friday nite meal. We used the leftover spaghetti for breakfast the next morning with a fried egg on top of the warmed up spaghetti. Delicious let me tell you. I know it sounds weird but, don't miss a chance to try this.
@@sandrasherritt9708 Sounds like lots of fun. We did hike-in camping in a National Park with no tent in the summer of course. We loved it when I was little. Just a sleeping bag and a camp cooking set with a wire rack over the fire. We used the river as our "cooler" with a net around our food weighed down with rocks. We spent the days swimming in the river or walking in the woods. It was great! We'd see herds of elk come by us. We picked wild berries for pancakes in the morning. Fun, fun!

Good morning!!! Looked like so much fun! You thought of everything! Thanks for sharing your hot tent adventure. P.S. Gina I would have listened for every sound as well. We women are programmed that way! Al stayed on top of keeping the fire going. It really surprised me that the temperature got up to 102 D . Great idea to bring cold brew to heat up. Coffee is a morning priority for us too!
part of camping I have always enjoyed was the coffee perking in the aluminum percolator on top of our Coleman stove. The aroma was part of the best part. Along with the bacon sizzling in a skillet.
I had fun...so much fun watching you guys let loose and be adventurous. Like the time Al jumped into the pond after building the floating dock. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did just watching. I hope you show us more of your fun/ adventurous side. The builds are great but these adventures are AWESOME!
My wife asked where is Olivia, I answered she is the smart one staying in a warm home😜 I guess we are showing our age. You can use that large tent for a workshop. Keep trying new things!!!
Thanks for your patience. But... Just saying. The very most important tool for "camp cooking" for me, is a lid for the frying pan. I have two sizes that I picked up at Goodwill. Smaller than the "radius" of the frying pan to cover whatever is there. My "lids" have small holes for venting. So the effect is combo baking /frying for the cooking effort. Aand no "splattering" from what's in the pan. In a cold environment it works well. Try putting a lid (into) that frying pan Gina. "Not gonna lie" from here at the "Epsom Traffic Circle" ~ Oh yea! ✨☘✨
Your scenery is beautiful and what a great place to camp. That was too much work for just one night. (for me) i loved camping when I was younger. You guys are great together. Love from NC.
Loved watching. I’m addicted to hot tent vids lately. Personally… I would of much preferred keeping shoes off inside tent keeping floor dry & clean…kinda gives more of a home feeling & snug/comfy!! The snow inside the tent gave me anxiety lol.

Ah! Good ole winter camping! Big tent for two people. We do this every winter and also we have a party called ICE GOING OUT OF THE LAKE PARTY!! If the ice is out from the shore - you have to swim out to it, crawl up on it and dance to your favourite tunes. Us Canadians are always looking for a reason to celebrate winter. We also have a big corn roast camping weekend just before the snow comes- its always popular too. HAVE FUN GUYS!!!!! Oh by the way - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY AL!! ALL THE BEST.
Be careful Al and Gina, when it’s warm and cozy and peaceful like that, sometimes there is a new little bundle of joy to arrive in about nine months! 😂

also, looks like a lot of work. getting packed up to go, setting up camp; washing dishes in an ice cold stream; breaking camp down again; packing everything away when one gets home. Yeah!
Good morning Lumnah family! Good morning to fellow viewers too! I have to admit I did not see this coming! Who would have thought that "Hot Tent" camping was the adventure that Al was talking about? I like the evergreens all around as a windbreak! I'm not sure putting snow on the tarp was a great idea. You're going to get puddles. I remember that wood stove from the container build! When I saw you put all that wood in the stove I was sure you'd get toasty real quick. Put water or snow in the reservoir? The lights are a nice touch too. Great cooking Gina! Yum, pork chops! I hope the glass doesn't crack for the cookie dough! Wow, asparagus too! It does look really cozy in the shots you did from the outside! Too bad the cookie dough didn't cook through. Nice try Al. I would let the coals keep you warm for a while before you put more wood in just from our wood stove heating experience. The 50 degrees is great for sleeping in! Yay, cold brew to heat in the morning! That breakfast looked yummy! That is a nice little set-up guys! That little stream sure came in handy. I was hoping you were going to keep that tent up and not have to break it down yet! Maybe bringing Tanner next time would help Gina feel better. If he didn't bark then she'd be able to sleep. I think that was quite the adventure for Gina! I didn't know they had tents built so you could do this. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us Lumnah family! I hope Gina wants to do it again.
Thank you for a fun and entertaining video. I enjoyed Gina’s reluctant expression of enjoyment of the adventure. The cooking sequences had me running to my refrigerator for snacking. Well done!
Well, that's what I was thinking too. A lot less work ... than hauling all the tent and stove gear, and wood and food, and sleeping bags, etc. They could have a sweet little cabin out there with everything waiting. Just move in for the night or the weekend and BRING THE DOGS for heaven's sake and Olivia.
Those "BARN CATS" could just stay home with a large bowl of dry food and water; and protect the homestead house while everyone else is out playing for the day. Yeah ... that's it!
Winter camping is fun. Just a hint for Al. When I split wood I use a thin piece to hold the log rather than my finger. You can hit it a little harder and keep my fingers.
Oh my gosh!!!! Gina camping!!!!! I was so excited that I paused the video... Got my morning chores done, made coffee and I'm ready for this over night camping adventure....Love the tent and wood stove .... That was lots of fun, nice break for you guys... Thanks for sharing

I am in awe of this couple. they never seem to get tired. every day there is something to do, the house is finished and now they are making tents for camping. while I just did 10 math practice questions, I felt really tired. ha ha ha ha
Loved watching you tent camp in the cold and snowy weather. Have a wonderful weekend!! Be blessed!!
Beautiful tent set up…you have worked hard and I’ve enjoy very much to see this challenge…Gina thumbs up! Even with anxiety you supported your hubby. Soooo grand
Good Morning Al, Gina, & Olivia! Wow that was different. So much to enjoy at the OGP. Loved it! Couldn't have picked a better time to camp with a full moon. I enjoyed a change, as I hope you both enjoyed a break. Looking forward to more future fun times. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Yes, the full moon was perfect. That way when you go pee in the woods, you can see if the bears are circling and licking their lips. hahaha!
I'd be out there all the time. Great set up. Enjoy it. Gina will enjoy it better each time she goes.
May the Lord bless and protect you and your family
Good morning Al and Gina, 🌄🌻 Have a nice camping trip in the snow. Burrrr.
Gooooood Morning Liz. It got pretty warm in the tent 🏕 at one point
Hey there, Liz!
What a fun change of pace video. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Goooood Morrrning Lumnahs and Subscriber friends ! Hope and pray everyone has a Blessed weekend ! 😁👍
Hey there, CC! Thank you for your prayers and blessings - may they also be given to you as well, my friend! 🙂 🙏
Good morning CC! We are getting more snow here in Minnesnowta! Old man winter just won't let go. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hiya CC, hope you're weekend is blessed as well!
@@StoneKathryn Hello Kathryn, stay warm!
Wonderful video. Great getting back to, learning about nature and all of the wonderful resources she provides
That was a very nice" hot 🔥 tent ⛺️ " adventure! Thanks for sharing you two wild ones! 😊👍💕💕💕
That is a great camp you need to stay there for at least a week to really enjoy it nice to see you taking a break from the hard work
I am so happy to see you both having fun
Even though you had to "build" the tent, you needed to do a leisurely project 😉 😀
That video reminds me of city folks going out to camp in there back yard. 😂
I AM LIKE GINA. I WOULD HAVE BEEN UP ALL NIGHT LISTENING FOR ANIMIALS. I AM SOO HAPPY YOU BOTH HAD AN ENJOYABLE TIME.. LOVE Y'ALL
Hello everyone Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday 💗💗💗
Good Morning!
Gooooood Morning
Howdy Lori!
You too😊
Thanks for your patience.
The fun thing was that they left the tent for "next time" so the set-up will still be there for another time... 🙂
@@samvalentine3206 I was wondering if the tent would be okay.
Loved watching. I’m addicted to hot tent vids lately. Personally… I would of much preferred keeping shoes off inside tent keeping floor dry & clean…kinda gives more of a home feeling & snug/comfy!! The snow inside the tent gave me anxiety lol.
we'll have to get some camp slippers for next time
@@LumnahAcres Yes!! My son said this is the bachelor camping vs. family style camping.
As long as ya’ll enjoyed…is all that matters! (New Subscriber here)….looking forward to watching more! All the best from Texas!
@@ChrisTine-ou7nz Thanks for subscribing! There is something about tenting in a snow storm
The modern day version of roughing it up in the woods!
Al is such a Boy Scout, and Gina is an Angel ❤
Yes, it looks like a great way to camp. Gina, you were so brave to spend the night, even though you had some worries.
Be careful Al and Gina, when it’s warm and cozy and peaceful like that, sometimes there is a new little bundle of joy to arrive in about nine months! 😂
Olivia is 13 years old; they most likely don't want to start over again with diapers and midnight feedings.
Cots not big enough
@@sandrasherritt9708 Sandra, our son did just that, two girls 11 and 13 and then daughter #3 ! They are now 19, 17 and 8 !!!!
With Gina's health issues in the past, that is not possible any longer. So sad!
@@tinajackson944 A time for every season as they say. No need to be sad.. they have the perfect little family. Olivia is a most delightful and competent young lady. They are truly blessed.
I love camping , what a great set up. I've never done winter camping but looks fun.
also, looks like a lot of work. getting packed up to go, setting up camp; washing dishes in an ice cold stream; breaking camp down again; packing everything away when one gets home. Yeah!
Fun adventure! Gina is a good sport :))
Hiya, fun times for the Lumnahs!!
Enjoy all the moments!!!! Blessings to all!!
It was fun to share this one... blessings to you too, Eric!
@@samvalentine3206 good morning!!
Thank you for a fun and entertaining video. I enjoyed Gina’s reluctant expression of enjoyment of the adventure. The cooking sequences had me running to my refrigerator for snacking. Well done!
Someday you can build a little cabin in the woods for your camping expeditions. Then Gina wouldn't be so scared of noises.😊
Yeah ... that's it!
That would be my idea of camping. A little log house would be great...with a real potty--- inside. LOL.
Winter camping is fun. Just a hint for Al. When I split wood I use a thin piece to hold the log rather than my finger. You can hit it a little harder and keep my fingers.
What a beautiful spot for camping.
Great camping video. Love the nice equipment but most of all I see a happy couple. And appreciate giving thanks for your meal. God bless
you guys have the best channel👍
Man, you guys are living the Good Life. God bless you 😀
Thanks for taking us camping with you guys. You brought back lots of memories. 👍❤️
Oh my gosh!!!! Gina camping!!!!! I was so excited that I paused the video... Got my morning chores done, made coffee and I'm ready for this over night camping adventure....Love the tent and wood stove .... That was lots of fun, nice break for you guys... Thanks for sharing

Hello again Mr. Robert. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks for the reminder, Robert. I sure wish they'd finally put this to bed, the spring forward, fall back. I read they were going to seriously examine abandoning the time change. I'll believe it when I see it. In the mean time, have a good one, my friend!
