- The Transformers Cosmos has been much on the minds of collectors. This Autobot spaceship has just been released in the Transformers Legacy Velocitron Speedia 500 line and it’s been very hard to find. Captain Kyle reviews this new version, but also all the versions of Cosmos from Generation One through Universe and Generations up to the latest. Even, for good measure, the Magic Square UFO.
Cosmos, voiced by Michael McConnohie in the original US G1 cartoon, was an interesting character that had a very small toy and a vehicular form that puzzled many fans. How is this a robot in disguise? In addition to showing how this toy developed, Captain Kyle shares exclusive footage that might just answer that question.

This has gotta be one of my favourite videos of yours cause Cosmos is just a fun and weird character. I wish the Magic Square one was easier to find, but its basically impossible now because MS themselves haven't done another run of him. There are leaked listings of the Legacy one getting a Package refresh, so hopefully I can pick him up then at normal retail price.

Always loved Cosmos, I have two of the G1 figure.
I work at my local Walmart unloading the freight trucks, so I know when we get new toys. With that in mind, getting my hands on Cosmos took a lot of luck and some very helpful coworkers.
Even working there it can be difficult, I guess.
I managed to luck out today and hit a Wal Mart in my area and they had ONE of the Legacy Cosmos on the pegs. I'd say they are REALLY short packing him. Still, despite his flaws I really do like this version.

Hasbro did it dirty they knew he was gonna be a fan favorite and they still put one to box sometimes I think they love to feed the drama.
Maybe it was Walmart's suggestion... because of how many times collectors will go to Walmart and buy something else while they are there.
Yep. I went to the store near my work every day for almost a month before work to see if they were out and it finally happened last week. On the trolley ready to be put on the shelf. Got Cosmos and the rest of the ones i wanted...
I found them in the morning. Were probably just put out. A single full case. So I was able to get Cosmos and Clampdown.
@@ToySpotlite seems like everyones best chance at the moment is when they are just getting put out. I got Clampdown, Override, Road Hauler and Scourge too. All the other Kmarts (our Walmart in Australia) around me have nothing left pretty much since they stocked them out on friday

I hope we get Pathfinder from the new Cosmos - last time we got a figure of her was aaaaaaages ago, back in that first "G1 Gobots" set from Takara. I think Cosmos in blue would be very flattering!
That would be cool. Probably be a Generations Selects thing, but that's fine by me.

Already subbed but would have done so, again, just for the UHF reference. Only the best will understand. I was lucky enough to get Clampdown and Cosmos on a random Walmart run. I also have the Titans Return bot. Missed out on Payload, I'm sorry to say. Hope he doesn't miss his life partner.
A year later and I still haven't seen a single Velocitron figure at retail in person. Not Ross nor Walmart.
Weird. I did see them at my local Walmarts. Though usually they just had Blurr left.

Magic Square was first. Had him quite a while before the Legacy came out.
Only me or the universe cosmos figure alt Mode is a UFO or a landmine
Unless he could put himself back together, being a landmine is not an ideal alt mode.

Wheres the Newage version. It has more show accurate proportion than magic square and legacy.
