In Australia the distribution was even worse, each Kmart only got one box of velocitron deluxes, meaning there was only one cosmos per store in most areas.
I was lucky enough to find two. They do come in batches, at least in my area. I haven’t seen any for a month or so. I hope they do release full cases of him or more than one per case. Walgreens for me is the most annoying exclusive place for transformers. Most of the time they never hit the shelves. Online usually sells out really quick.
You know, when I saw the thumbnail title for this video, I was immediately brought back to Sunday when I went looking around at Walmart. The one I went to had a few new Legacy figures, but it was mainly the deluxe Velocitron figures that I was seeing on shelves. Though in the main section, they were mainly just two of the same figure, with one IDW Blurr. However, as I go further down the isle, I see there’s an SS BB Ironhide on the roof of the shelf. I stand back a bit to see there are also some Velocitron figures on the roof of the shelf as well. But in that line up of deluxe class boxes, I see one Cosmos figure who is second-closest to the back. So not only was Cosmos hidden in the aisle, but he was put in a place that requires you to struggle just to get him. Basically, it was like a game of Where’s Waldo. Of course, I was just browsing so I didn’t get the figure yet. Just thought I’d share my story.

Dude, do you grab Cosmo's head assymbally that flips over for transformation with your nail? If you don't want it to split, just push down on the opposite side of how the disc turns. Simple as that, no need to use your nails to pull at it
I think the loose shoulder problem is extremely common on this figure. i've had two copies that have both had it, and you're not the first person i've seen mention it either. All the more annoying considering how difficult the figure is to find.
If the current rumors are to be believed, they're going to be shipping entire cases of Cosmos to address the issue, so he'll probably be much easier to find if/when those show up.
As much fun as forward and back ankle tilts are, as soon as those joints get loose, the figure simply does not stand up ever again. That's what happened with my SS86 Hot Rod.

The ghetto Walmart near me has had all of the Velocitron figures every time i have looked but so i got the exclusive molds still deciding on the retools
i always post what I sell (new or used) at retail price and the bidders are the ones who crank it up. but some people will post things at 3 times retail to start

I recently unsubbed to a TH-camr I have trusted for so long because they openly support paying exorbitant money to reselling price gougers; validating the practice openly while trashing stolen-toy-reviewers doesn’t make sense. This is not a $70+shipping figure and never will be even though I love the character Cosmos.

Here in the uk this guy was easy to get, to the point of shelfwarming. Makes up just a little for all the characters that never / barely got a release over here, like runabout, siege ratchet and crasher.
I find that the head panel doesn’t split if pushed down on the opposite side of where you pulled it up at. As for poothing, the wide end of that sliding pin for his shoulders can catch the head and stop the panel from flipping, so I advise transforming that first and leave the head reveal till last when going from UFO to robot. My figure has the same issue with the same shoulder, gonna have to metaphorically flood the pin with floor gloss and hope it works. But that aside, I do like this Cosmos.
Hope we get a retool of Scrounge available on store shelves and not an exclusive in Walgreens or Amazon or whatever. Now, bring on the rest of the mini bots crew. Awesome video. Thanks.
Meanwile in UK local store that carrys it has like 12+ on the shelves yet same store will not sell core class figures and all BUZZwORTHY bumble bee ones are impossible to find so nowhere gets its perfect.
A perfect redeco for this would be a cross over with Rick and Morty and have it be Rick's Car/Ship. However of course licensing would have to be made but I think it'd be sick to see Cosmos in this form

Managed to find one today at my walmart but I still haven't found scourge or Override even though my walmart app keeps saying they have 2 in stock there. Sadly mine has a issue when pulling the back piece out so I have to get a small tool to help pull the part out
My Cosmos has the same issue with the loose arm. His right heel is also hard to push in. But other than that I love him. I hope they do deluxe versions of all the Minibots.

A second wave with new figures is pretty much confirmed. Most likely this will be repacked in that wave 2 as he acts as a bit of a mascot for the line. When Netflix stuff came out, they would always have a restock of a wave a month or two after they first get figures. Walmart seems to always overstock their exclusives, so I have a feeling this is just temporary scarcity.
My copy also has the loose shoulder issue, but it's not terrible. Overall I really like this figure. I'm still shocked I managed to find one at retail. I've seen several Overrides as well, but passed as I'm more of a G1 and Beast Wars fan and Unicron Trilogy doesn't interest me as much.
In my experience i can go ahead and say that override is far better as a figure, and shes easier to acquire. As someone who likes to just have figures regardless of rarity or that stuff, i highly recommend her over seeking cosmos

I found Clampdown yesterday and there was 3 of each of the other figures. I think I just missed Cosmos. I'm concerned that I won't find it. Netflix Bug Bumblebee hasn't been re released in 18 months. I had to dive through the pallets in the garden section to get him. Ridiculous. I never buy anything else at Walmart. If I don't find the figure I want i run out the store, Walmart is gross.

I gave up after about 3 weeks of looking. Managed to find Clampdown and settled for eBay to get Cosmos at the average cost of $60. Oh well, it's better than wasting time and gas looking only to turn up empty. I have been lucky at times. I did find one Netflix Soundwave and seeing as how he's going for over $100 now, I should be grateful. Still, these bs exclusives gotta stop or just do repaints, not original molds.
I live in Canada and we have Walmart. In other countries there are shops that have the exclusive rights to hold them. Like in the UK it's Smiths, exclusives are always available in most other countries just at different stores.
