  • In this video I tell you about my experience driving the 2024 Lexus NX 350h over a week. This is the first ever Lexus I can recall driving for any period of time. As a whole, I am very impressed with the quality and driving experience of the NX with it's hybrid powertrain. The Hybrid system is ultra smooth, the interior materials are top notch, and the technology is good (not great). The interior cabin space in the front may be a little tight for larger/taller people but the driver centric design is good for ergonomics. The driver assistance technology is good but I found the lane trancing to favor the right lane markings and it seemed to bounce around the center of the lane a little more than other vehicles. Even with the downsides, I came away extremely impressed with the entire package. I would likely lean towards the Turbo F-Sport package with the adaptive dampers for a more sporty driving experience but for efficiency, it's hard to argue with the Hybrid. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section!

    You did a really good job explaining everything about the nx350h. I’ve had mine for 3 months, and it is excellent, Toyota products are amazing!!!

    Very detailed, so much great information. I am in the market for the limited trim, and find this video to be very helpful, thank you.

    Lucky you. I tried for months to get one and seven dealers told me to fuggedaboutit. So, I got on a list at the one dealer that wasn't charging a deposit for an RX350h for a top-of-the-line trim and options. However, the wait time would be 9 to 12 mos. and they are assembled in Canada. Six of the dealers wanted a $2,000 refundable deposit just to get on a list with no guarantee to obtain what I wanted, trim and options. So, GLTU!
    I was able to obtain an ES300h, Ultra Trim with more options and dealer add-ons in April. Love it and am getting 41+ MPG. It's only 215 H.P but she goes fast enough. 🤔

    Can I ask a question about the EV mode? When you using the EV mode and park at the park, does it similar to Telsa's camping mode that only use electricity instead of using the gas?

      Great question. I believe the vehicle will stay in EV for as long as possible using only the battery. Eventually it will need to start the engine to maintain the HVAC or power within the battery pack but it does stay on only electric for a good amount of time. It will also depend how much charge is in the battery when you use that mode.

    Great video. What type of gas is required for the NX?

      You can use regular 87 octane.

    Very odd the reviewer did not spend any time talking about and showing the exterior attributes of the car?

    How does it compare to a Kia sportage hybrid or Hyundai Tucson Hybrid in terms of smoothness and quietness ?

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's a great question. I believe the smoothness and overall refinement is better but it's also a more expensive vehicle. I like the Tucson's 6 speed auto for the feel but the CVT in the Lexus is definitely more efficient. The Lexus also rides very soft and had more capability of using the battery only mode. Overall, both are great but one is more luxury and the other is a more cost effective option that is still very nice.

    Enjoyed your comments. Seems awfully expensive for what is actually a rather tiny car!!

    It says 2024 here, in the beginning of your intro, you say it's 2023. I went back and checked at least three times, it's indeed 2023. The price sheet clearly shows 2023. But, the description for this video is again 2024. Find it a bit confusing. I am planning to buy the 2024 model, not the 2023 one. Hence checking out reviews......

      The only small change includes a color keyed glovebox that matches the seating surface color. Outside of this, it is the exact same as the one in the video.

    I was debating between this model but got the NX 250 instead. The price difference didn’t justify the better fuel efficiency in my case.
