- Well, that transported me straight back to 2002! Great song, and great video that reminds us that sometimes, all you need is simplicity and a good, consistent color scheme. What do you think about Kittie's new song and video? Anything that stood out to you? Come hang out in the comments!
We’re gentle folks around here so please play nice.

LOVE KITTIE!!!! Can't WAIT for their new CD on Sumerian Reccords being released this year!!!!
First all female metal band and first heavy metal band to make it big from my hometown.
That "black blood" effect is all over metal and metal adjacent videos a lot lately. For example, it is injected into Poppy's AI character in "V.A.N." and it's a major feature in the Twin Tribe's "Monolith" video. I think it is meant to represent the dissolution of the reality we once we knew.
If you're going to do Archenemy in the future, I think "Poison Arrow" is their best video so far.
Thank you, great suggestion! I've added it to my list!
Back with a bang ! glad to have the ladies of Kitty back.... this may be outta left field but, the red sequences remind me of the finale of Suspiria w/ Dakota Johnson. Very shocking and creepy....
Outta left field, but a GREAT reference! I love Luca Guadagnino, he did such an interesting job interpreting the original, you're absolutely right that the reds are reminiscent of that scene. \o/
I got a little of the Twin Peaks vibe too. I think the recent return of the series has made that look pop up in a lot of media.
I have a feeling that was an intended effect since Morgan is a huge horror fan…
Since you're into film and metal. You should do a reaction to the Hellfreaks - Weeping Willow!
The Warning's 'S!CK' video is in 4:3, and was all filmed on iPhones. You might want to check it out.
Also, their video for More starts out in 4:3, then slowly grows to 16:9.
And, finally, their video for Evolve is worth a look. It was filmed in a high end car dealership parking garage, using 16 iPhones and 1 drone.
Oh! Check out their video for 21st Century Blood, released when they were 12, 15 and 17. It won 4 film festival awards.
There's a behind the scenes video for this on TH-cam.
I didn't know - thanks! Gonna check it out!
HEALTH - We Are Water
HORSE the band - Shapeshift
Aphex Twin - Windowlicker
Wonderful suggestions. I LOVE Windowlicker! That is such a creepy video.
If you're looking for great metal, let me take you to Japan. Currently some of the best metal is produced by all-female Lovebites, Nemophila, and Hanabie. Hanabie. (Ha-na-bee-eh) makes some unusual MV's, but maybe not that unusual to you? I can provide specifics if needed.
Thank you for these great recommendations! Would love to hear more about those unusual videos!
@@manondereeper For Hanabie., try "We Love Sweets", "REIWA Dating Apps Generation", "Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now", "Tousou", and "Be the Gal". Great stuff.
