Hi Derek, that was really helpful. I have a Macan EV on order but still time to make changes. Do you think the air suspension option is a must to go for with the 21" wheels for city driving or just a nice thing to have? Would you recommend it?
Hey Derek! Great work on the insight to this model platform. If you had to suggest one option to not skimp on what would that be? For the interim - keep the videos coming!
@@hoffmangonzalez144 thanks for your feedback, Premium Package plus, maybe electric sport sound which I love for the noise. Everything is personal preference.
Im a huge EV fan and I own a 23 Porsche Macan GTS. I was anxiously waiting this Macan EV - as we all know it's been in the works and delayed quite a few years.. When it arrived my local dealer threw me the keys and said "take it for the day." (Im a return customer and familiar face). I didn't think it felt as insulated as the ICE Macan in the cabin. The rumble coming up from the road is not as quiet as my girlfriend's new Tesla Model 3 "Highland" which was disappointing. I also thought the Infotainment was a big kludge: It seems to have 2.5 halves. Android Auto half, and then the Porsche car settings half. (that has suspension/chassis/door lock options etc..) And then if you launch Apple CarPlay, you're running CarPlay on top of Android and NEXT to the Porsche car settings bits. You don't live in one nice UI. Also I found the lack of one-pedal drive to be disappointing. I read up on why they didn't include it, but it's a computer on wheels - just give us the option to enable it. It drives very heavy. It corners VERY well, but still feels heavy (which is to be expected, to a degree, but I've driven other EV's that don't feel as hefty. I didn't place an order. Just didn't feel any emotional ties to the Macan EV. Didn't have that excitement for the car. Additionally, the money factor is ugly and Porsche is being conservative and putting their residual at 53%. It leases terribly which made it a no brainer - just not good value. A $100k build of a 4/4s would be $1500++ per month with $7,500 down for 39 months. And this is from the Porsche Financial website. Just terrible value.
Which model did you drive? I found when driving each version the 20 inch wheels are noticeably quieter, the upgraded wheels had slightly more noise and I did notice the ride difference. I had a Taycan for over a year and it was one of my favorites. I'm sure the rates will get better over time it is still brand new. We are selling them at a pretty regular rate since they launched. In comparison with Tesla I like the 800 volt setup with a 20 minute charge from 5-80% on a 350 station, no one pedal drive (subjective), and the fit and finish overall.
Hi, thanks for your video. I just set one up and I'm waiting for it to arrive in November, I'm excited. One question, do you have to manually activate the spoiler to get it to go up? Or is there an option to always have it go up when you start the truck? Sorry for my English.
@@alejandrorayas9430 Good question. Automatic by default for the best aerodynamics (three levels). You can manually put it up for cleaning or the look in the driver modes screen.
Looks really cool. Have ordered one in ice grey - expected delivery is early 2025 😊. Just wondered about the frunk, is there a way to deactivate opening with waving hand over frunk? - just thinking if car is washed in a station that uses car rolls that go over the car, does this trigger the frunk to open?!
@@ConanCowley ice grey is a great choice. The sensors for keyless / comfort access is shut off when it drive for this reason. There is a shut off in the settings if for some reason you wanted to deactivate it.
@@alexlee1501 what other sound would there be? I drove a Taycan for a year and loved it. The electric motor noise is amplified throughout the inside/outside as an option. It does a great job of giving the customer the sports car noise to match it's performance.
The red interior OMG, soooo beautiful. By far the best interior option
Love these videos. Would love to see how park assist works on the new macan ev.
Agree, would love to know what dimensions it requires to detect a parking spot.
@@vp0029 I'll get to work on that

@@niag184Yes, makes the ride really amazing and allows for better aerodynamics in it's low ride height.

How comfortable is the Macan EV 4 on air suspension over some rough roads and bumps?
