Eat your spinach! Is another one! That it's loaded with calcium. Truth is that it's loaded with oxalates that inhibit the absorption of the calcium. And oxalates are very bad for you!
I'm now almost 50 and I've always been healthy but in the last 6 months I've really stepped it up, I eat only whole foods, lots of meat, eggs, animal fat, nuts, veggies and fruits. Definitely not low carb but I eat no bread products. I eat lots, I don't hold back, if my body wants to eat, I eat. Plus I do intermittent fasting usually once a week. I feel amazing, and my cardiovascular performance running up the local mountain is incredible.
My grandparents were born in the century before last, and I had the privilege of knowing them for 20 years. They lived on a farm, worked hard everyday, ate from the land. My grandmother avoided sugar. They ate an egg for b.k. everyday, so when they told us eggs were bad for you, I immediately recognized that they were a useless political organization. My grandfather broke his femur at 93. We took him to the hospital and they said he had the body of a 60 year old. My grandmother, who had given birth to 9 children, at home, went to a doctor once, she came home furious that she had wasted her time and money to talk to an idiot, and never saw a doctor again until she died. I am grateful to have known them!
I can relate to that. I am 80 years old and do not take any medications. Exercise, eating in moderation and meditation is what I think is helpful for me.
My aunt gave birth to 14 kids, lived till 97 years. Ate fish, meat and rice, did work to feed the kids and walked until the day she departed. She had no lifestyle diseases until she died.
Boy! There are similarities between your family & mine! My maternal grandparents had 9 children . My grandparents were born in 1896 & 1900. They raised their family on a farm. I LOVED being out there w/ them. The meals were excellent....home grown food. So glad I had that experience. It was invaluable. I loved my grandparents dearly.
I am a nurse with decades at the bedside; all of my patients with low cholesterol do not fare well in ICU, I also had a stint in the cath lab and concluded that cholesterol has little to do with cardiac health. We've been lied to for more than half a century I suspect.
I eat a good diet, no nasties etc. Take supplements , never smoked, not overweight. After a blood test recently I am being called in about my cholesterol( which on paper to me looks OK?). However after corneal transplants I am on permanent steroid eye drops. I now read these can higher cholesterol !!!!
@@cynthiastogden7000 Nothing wrong with raising cholesterol, which has nothing to do with heart disease. Steroids are to be taken for only ten days following competent eye surgery.
This would be great! And I think big clinics tell their docs what drugs to push. I abhor all drug company commercials on tv; use that money wasted on ads to do real research!
In RN school we did learn dietetics and hospitals here in the uk cooked food from ingredients in the hospital kitchen. Today the nhs brings in sandwiches with margarine, white bread or dyed brown bread...a slither of cheese or egg and salad if you’re lucky! Everything is bought from caterers looking to make profit. Patients, esp the old need a real meal not cheap stomach fillers.
@@patwoessner198 as an now ex nurse tutor, I find student learn best when they see what poor diet does to people. Research is badly taught in uni and at hospitals. Make it relevant and interesting.? The role of diet forms the foundations of health and many younger people are conscious of this. Maybe that’s a place to start?
RN here too, for over 40yrs. So many lies we have been told it’s hard to listen to. These 4 are a good beginning. I wish we had moved doc like this one. SMH
Big pharma owns all medical schools (since 1910). That’s when they started badmouthing natural remedies and pushing their pharmaceuticals. Because a patient cured is a patient lost!
My grandmother, born in the 1890's always told me that eggs were cheap and an excellent source of protein. She also said that too much of anything was bad and to eat a variety of food. She lived until her 90's.
Same here. Grandma used to raise chickens for eggs and to eat. when the chickens got to a certain age, she would get out the sharp knife and cut their heads off. After the chicken stopped moving, she would gut it and we would have fresh chicken for dinner. She grew a garden of veggies and did so until age 92. She used to can food for the winter.
“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is a phrase often quoted as old wisdom. In fact, it’s a statement made about a hundred years ago by one Lenna Cooper, a friend and protege of Dr John Harvey Kellogg(yes, that Kellogg). They were both Seventh Day Adventists, and therefore convinced vegetarians. She went on to found the American Dietetic Association.
I'm a Doctor and try to talk about these things with my patients, I sometimes feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall. These myths have been embedded deeply in the societal psyche. I have chickens in my back yard, practice time restricted eating and enjoy saturated fat. Hopefully leading by example will change a few minds.
My ex told me he would leave me if I got fat, he thought my 125 lb for a 5'2" muscular women was border line obese, therefore I drank black coffee all day and only ate a meal in the evenings, I believe the "time restricted eating" brought on my insulin resistance and low thyroid which show dead cell evenly distributed all thought!
John Paul Jackson’s close friend was a medical researcher . He told John Paul , that cancer grows best in margarine in a Petre dish . Wow nice she saw this .
I read somewhere years ago that margarine is one molecule from being plastic. If you put it out in the sun, Flys won't even land on it. That is how much it is not edible.
@@jimosullivan1389 There are many seeds oils or as they like to refer to it "vegetable oil"(to deceive and confuse consumers) : canola, sunflower, safflower, soybean, corn oil. With their high omega 6 content, they are extremely inflammatory and responsible for the ill health of many a consumer.
I remember as a kid back in the 70s my Mum would read these studies from all the magazines she read to my Dad and he would just laugh. No eggs, butter, meat even. My Dad was a farmers son from eastern Europe, ate everything. His doctor was amazed as to what good shape he was in... low colesterol, heart rate was steady and strong. I wish I was half as tough as my Dad was...
Likewise...my father scoffed at margarine and all processed foods...East Prussian...91 when he passed and no cancer no diabetes no heart condition etc....despite smoking for 75 years...he cherished the fat on steaks as well....
Because my parents lived through the Great Depression/WW2 with food shortages, rationing and “lab food” (oleo/margarine, Spam, etc.) we were never permitted to bring that crap into our house. A So we grew up with real butter, real eggs, real potatoes, real milk and real cheese, etc. So glad we did-although it took my Dad to work 3 jobs and Mom to work 2 to afford these with a family of 9 children. My parents were smarter than we thought! I think that I’ve bought margarine once…and that was by mistake. Beside, real butter is yummy! A lot of good lessons from the Greatest Generation we need to relearn.
@@jayjaynella4539 respectfully disagree. It was a great way to live. Although the bank account was always small, we were extraordinarily rich in a way that perhaps you’ve never experienced-more’s the pity. We were all very much loved, learned the value of understanding that we are not the center of the universe; to think beyond ourself and understood the rewards of hard work and teamwork. It was an honor to be raised by 2 parents that lived in the same house and tucked us all into bed each night. …and my parents were very smart…lived their life debt free, raised 9 successful children and died surrounded by us all. So yes, it was a great and only way to live.
Years ago I was told my cholesterol was a bit high, and the doctor was going to write a prescription for statins. When I asked him what the side effects of statins are, he looked a bit strange and answered "If so tell you, you won't take them." When I persisted he told me, "Memory loss." Needless to say I refused the prescription. I am now nearly 83, in good health and take no medication.
I tell my students that 50% I was taught many years ago was nonsense. I also tell them that when that 50% of nonsense is disproved a new 50% takes its place. This ensures that 50% of medical thought and practice will always be nonsense.
I like your thought process. 😊 My father was an automotive mechanical engineer, when I learned how to drive, he said everyone else on the road is capable of stupidity, be driver aware. I think we have to adopt the same mentality with the medical fraternity.
1 Butter rather than margarine 2 Eggs are good for you. 3 Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. You're better off skipping it. 4 Natural supplements are useful.
It is in fact best to skip most of your meals and ALL the snacks everyday, and only eat once or twice a day, if not occationally skipping one or more days entirely. All animal tests clearly show that time-restricted eating will make the test animals live the longest, and continuous eating the shortest reducing their life-time by a factor of 2! In any case, if you do eat carbs, it will be very difficult to time-restrict your eating, because only meat and fat will provide you enough both energy and nutrients without making you feel hungry all the time. And, moreover, carbs are not giving you nutrients, but depleate them! Maybe eating carbs have in fact been another lie. Many stomack problems are even hinting the same for fibers, because you quite often can recover by omitting both fiber and carbs, in favour of (grass-fed) red meat, which actually is the most anti-inflammatory food no matter where in your body the pain may be! Skipping breakfast appears, however, not to be a healthy habit as such, because statistically it looks like those people more often die younger. But, breakfast skippers might have unknown bad life habits in a form of nutrition or stress, for example, which can be the real reason behind, instead of the just missing breakfast. Ref. "The Carnivore Diet - The TRUTH About Gut Health.. What about Fibre?"
It depends on your definition of high cholesterol. The medical establishment definition is anything above 200, but some doctors think that up to 280 is ok.
If you have loved ones on statins, do your best to get them to stop. Life expectancy with cholesterol over 300 is years better than being on statins. th-cam.com/video/sY48qLl9ZzE/w-d-xo.html
Here are the lies I have observed in the medical field as a patient. 1. "Strong menstruation is normal with some women"... No it is not. Get your progesterone levels checked because they might be low. 2. "Autoimmune disease is not healable"... NOT TRUE. I personally know 2 people who cured their Hashimotos with gluten and dairy free diet. 3. "Antibody levels dont matter, the hashimoto patient always feels unwell regardless of the antibody count" Completely BS. As a hashimoto patient myself I can verify that with a TPO count of 1000 you feel like trash. The lower my antibodies the better I feel. 4. If they dont find a reason for regular UTIs they will tell you that this is due to a anatomically incorrect Urethra ... I don't think every 5th woman has an anatomic abnormality... Instead they should rather check for Ureoplasma. After I took an antibiotic against Ureoplasma I am now UTI free for 5 years 🎉 Before that I had UTIs 3 times a year for 13 years... Misdiagnoses are causing a lot of pain and suffering. And some doctors are brainwashes by fake medical studies.
Heavy cycles should not be taken lightly. Womens health in general is still very much not taken seriously and not studied as much as men's health and sexual health, this is why women's health gets the back burner. Look how much $$ is put into erectile dysfunction, and look how empathetic it is treated with those commercials and ads. Even women sexual pleasure is ignored. Yet Endometriosis is life debilitating pain.
I think he is honest and a good person. For me, I am the same weight that I was 50 years ago. I eat meat with fat! Very little processed foods. Veggies. And exercise every day. I am in much better condition than any of my doctors. I think one of the most important skills in life is to learn how to cook- so you are never dependent on others and you know what you are putting into your own body.
Yes for sure and when you cook then cook big batches (larger amounts), enough to last 2 or 3 days stored cool in the refrigerator so you do not have to cook every day and just warm up the food.
I haven't eaten breakfast in over 25 years. I eat lunch at noon. Then eat dinner 6pm. That is it. No snacking. I love butter. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you Doctor! I've been told all of those and luckily ignored them all and went with Nature. I'd add "don't add salt, it's bad for you" and "herbal medicine is just superstition" to the list. Sea salt, herbs and spices do wonders, as do eggs, butter and skipping a few breakfasts lol
I was taught well by my mother who was ahead of her time, rejecting processed foods, sodas, cereals. Everything was home made with wholesome ingredients. Common sense was always taken to the doctors office and implemented after the visit. We are our own best doctors.
He is clean , his skin ,hair and teeth are indicative of good health. He speaks clearly with confidence of his own experience. Thank you dear man for the excellent example and information. A scholar and a gentleman is Dr. Dan.
Thank you for stepping out for truth! How do I find a doctor who is not in bed with big pharma? I live in a small town in rural Illinois and it seems that every doctor wanted me to take the jabs, got mad when I didn’t “trust them”, I knew it wasn’t for me and it’s my body! I so appreciate you!
My suggestion would be to find the kind of doctor you are looking for even if the doctor is far from you and see if telehealth appointments are available. Telehealth opens up options for you and any tests, like blood work, can be sent to your local lab or imaging center (depending on the kinds of tests needed). That is what I would do if I was in a more remote area.
@carolhub8080, I honestly believe that we have to become our own "doctor" now. With so many videos available from people like Dr. Dhand, Dr. Berg, and Motivational Doc, I watch, read and then try things to see what works for me. For me, a high protein diet helped my health. Simple things like soaking my feet in warm water with Epsom salts to increase the amount of magnesium in my body, walking, getting 20 minutes of sunshine, not wearing sunglasses outside, and paying more attention to what I eat have had huge benefits in my health. I pay attention to cravings and get plenty of sleep. This allowed my body to heal an autoimmune disease I had for three decades that I was told couldn't be "cured". I hope this helps.
Thank you for being so direct. As a nurse I relate to your experience in the medical field. It’s difficult working in hospitals that are constantly feeding patients processed foods throughout the day which is why most of the patients are there to begin with
My hospital was feeding us microwaved prepared and frozen garbage trucked in from a neighboring province. They closed their kitchen to "save" money,..the contract no doubt went to a friend of the Premier.
Here in the US-in my hospital experience-the patient is allowed to choose their own meals from a menu which is sadly lacking in quality food choices let alone those with food sensitivities. Therefore, people can choose nutrition which actually makes them worse instead of better. It's illogical and irresponsible for the medical profession not to supervise diet!
@@joymichels What you eat for a few days or a couple of weeks won't have much impact on your health. It's what you eat habitually long term that counts. People sick in the hospital don't usually have much appetite anyway, they just pick at the meals or eat only the jello.
@@loiswells3062 In our hospital, we have to order from a menu and a third party vendor provides the food. There is no supervision or even suggestions as to what healing choices are. In my case, with a virus or bacterial infection, even one serving of sugary food causes a flair up. So, while I understand your position, I think the medical services could do a much better job in helping people get better faster with better nutrition.
I have lived most of my life under those false health beliefs, but fortunately changed things 6 years ago. We ate margarine when I was growing up and I always got Becel margarine when I was an adult. Avoided eggs. I was horrified that my grandmother ate butter and eggs daily. She lived to be 96 and was only hospitalized when she broke her hip in her last year of life. Eggs and grass-fed butter for me now. No more cereals in the morning, and don't eat till noon. Not even hungry. No sugar. I remember reading an article years ago in Reader's Digest written by a doctor who said that no vitamin had ever been shown to cure an illness or disease and not to take supplements. I did think about scurvy and Vit C plus rickets and Vit D at that time. So thankful that the Internet has made alternative medicine information available.
I don’t use margarine anymore. I use ghee clarified butter. Good stuff! When I found out about the “vegetable oil “ used in margarine is actually industrial seed oil. Yuck 🤢
As a nutritionist I remember the part that impacted me hugely was the fact that most fats and oils and spreads are heated many times in their production and are generally unstable chemically … that’s why they go bad and unusable … butter stays as butter .
I am from the Netherlands but lived in France for 23 years, coming back I discovered that the butter was tampered with because my own baking of a specific cake did not worked out well. Nowadays I make my own and it works wonderfully. Even a child of 8 can make it.
I have high cholesterol. Doctors always try to tell me I need statins. But my LDL is all large low density, my triglycerides are low, my heart stress test barely stressed me, and my CAC score is zero. I have no family history of heart disease or hypertension. I exercise 6,days a week. I’m in the gym doing weights 3-4 times a week. I’m 65 years old 5’11 150lbs. I have two poached eggs on hot buttered toast most mornings. My diet is fine.
Yes I do not know how many times I have heard that high cholesterol is not harmful. I am also in my 60’s. I do ‘not’ buy either 100% whole wheat bread ‘or’ white bread, but rather instead I buy & eat an organic ‘sprouted bread’ that some people call Ezekiel bread (“Why Ezekiel Bread Is the Healthiest Bread You Can Eat”), it does not contain refined flour or sugar. The brand I use is Silver Hills Bakery. Organic sprouted bread is much healthier than 100% whole wheat bread.
One of my "pet peeves" is how we are told to check with our doctor before we make any changes in our diet, exercise, drugs etc. I guess everyone is so scared of being sued nowadays. But frankly to my knowledge a lot of them have little training in these areas. Usually the pharmacist has more information on drugs. I prefer to use my own common sense. I am very skeptical with good reason, as from youth the few drugs they have put me on caused problems. Some permanent which I live with today. I am a senior. I try to use natural treatments as much as possible & it has served me well.
Same here. Check with your doctor that won't add lab tests that are more truth-telling to root causes?--that believes in the studies that statins aren't harmful? --that won't go with optimal lab ranges but the current lab trend of averages? No thank you.
Try not to waste much time being angry. There are people who did believe these things, and there are greedy people that peddled lies and knew it. This is always the way.
@@saintejeannedarc9460Deliberate deception, all people ate butter and it’s like any natural food it’s fine with moderation, eggs are excellent protein why lie to make people avoid them?
Please address the myth of cholesterol levels and the prescribing of statins ad nauseum. Also go over the studies that prove that saturated fats do not contribute heart disease. IF you have already done so, then can you please reference them for your viewers. This was a great video and thank you, Dr. Dhand.
When I was kid I was given raw milk on breakfests before school - my grandpa milked our cow and my grandma filtered it by gause and we loved this milk - fat, sweet and still a bit warm. I hated heated milk I prefered raw milk. :)
Unpasteurised milk also strengthens the immune system too. So many people who were given unpasteurised milk from a very young age were hardly ever unwell!
I have loved watching your journey of awakening over the past few years. Not common in a physician, which makes you a rarity. Thank you for the wisdom you share xx
I live in New England and remember hearing all of these things while growing up, and being reminded again when listening to the news on TV or radio as an adult. Always liked butter, eggs, and whenever I take my vitamins or amino acid supplements I can feel the positive difference. So I listen to myself and weigh my direct experience against the advice of others. TY Dr. Dhand for your videos on these important topics.
Best thing I have done was turning off msm. I have chickens and get 4 eggs aday. Butter olive oil all the way. Thanks for information and honesty. You are a credit to us and wish you were my doctor.
I was diagnosed with hypercholesterolemia at the ripe age of 16, immediately placed on statins and had to follow a strict diet of no fat, very few eggs etc, what a bunch of crock!!!!! For years now I've not taken any medications and I eat a keto diet now, I've never felt better ❤
I'm so delighted with this video Dr Dhand. I have followed all of these for many decades now - never believed margarine was best, always eaten eggs and never eat until about 11.30 in the morning. I've been told again and again that I'm wrong, but I've always believed otherwise. Very happy to see you have endorsed my beliefs. I must be doing something right as I take supplements but zero pharma meds and at 71 (and a kidney donor) I'm pretty happy with that.
I was raised on margarine and sugary cereals... Fruit Loops and Count Chocula come to mind. Luckily I started reading about health once I left the house and all that changed... and I eat one egg per day now and don't worry about it at all. Thanks for an informative video and yes, I would LOVE to hear about which supplements you think are worthing spending good money on.
I'm not a doctor but I can say that any and all supplements are not needed just eat good healthy real food. I haven't had any supplements or vitamin pills now for many years and just passed all full health checks and the specialist just said, well whatever you are doing, keep doing it. Good luck with taking control of your own health and wellbeing.
Speaking of sugary cereals, 2 summers ago a lot of ants were invading my house through the ceiling. I happened to hear a horticulturist on a radio gardening show, saying to get either Froot Loops or Frosted Flakes and to crush them to a powder and to feed that to the ants and that it would take care of the ants She said ants don't do very well with a diet of corn and sugar. I don't normally buy those cereals, it was only to take care of my problem with ants. One thing about shredded wheat cereal is do not eat it dry. Always soak it with water or milk. Why is one time I was so hungry, I ate it dry, and got very badly constipated. I basically eat what agrees with me. I stay away from the local medical clinic now due to it is too inconvenient for me, it was like I was their slave, those pills weren't helping me I felt better after I stopped taking them. I have to take care of myself. Plus in Canada MAiD is legal, which I find disturbing and horrifying.
I also remember being brainwashed about flora, good for your heart, didn't shredded wheat also run a campaign saying the same and was promoted by Ian Botham, ex cricketer. When I eat cereal I go through the whole box and get debilitating brain fog plus mood swings, healthy whole grains, No they ain't!
My GP keeps pestering me to take statins for high ldl. She wasn't aware that my keto diet will cause this. Neither is she aware that high ldl is linked to longevity and isn't the cause of heart disease. I did wonder about offering to take a 20gr dose, just to treat her anxiety!
Someone else wrote this that you might find interesting:: Just saw a video on a study in Sweden that showed people that lived to 100 had high overall cholesterol levels and low glucose levels.
Thank you Dr.Suneel Dhand:) It's disgusting we have been set up to be addicted to a business's product only out to make as much money as possible while we suffer.
Perfect summary. I've been doing all this for years. I never listened to authority because it didn't sound right and they kept changing their minds on what was good or not. So I ate what tasted good . . real butter and eggs. And never ate breakfast to the dismay of my grandmother. Oh well. I'm so glad you're online spreading good health information. Keep up the good work.
Please speak about the current Food Pyramid, and explain what you think it should be and why! I wish our local doctors had your deep desire to help people. ❤
1:03 I remember the first time I smelled butter melting in a pan (at age 17, so long ago), I thought it was heavenly! In my adult life, I choose butter!
Thank you Dr Dhand, these 4 are my favorites. They are still told by doctors and nutritionists. I know more and most I am not allowed to mention here, but let's try this one: everyone should drink at least two liters of fluid, preferable water, a day to keep oneself hydrated. Every time I read this, I must think of a poor jellyfish, stranded on the beach in the sun, doomed to dry out. People are not jellyfish. In the 400 million or so years since our ancestors climbed out of the water we have developed a protective skin and, more important, a mechanism called thirst, to signal the need for water intake. For a healthy person it is sufficient to listen to what the body demands and drink accordingly. An instruction to drink two liters will be too little for about half of the people and to much for about the other half. Think of a little old lady, sitting in a wheel chair all day versus a strong laborer who performs hard work on a hot day. Their need for fluid intake is very different.
My conscious awakening started five years ago. I changed many things in my life. Intermittent fasting, the easier way to reduce the cravings for food and allow the body time to heal between digestions. I started eating butter and still have cravings to eat eggs. My body telling me what it truly wants. Also, I must be taking 20 different natural health supplements spread over the day. All you have said is true for me. You are not afraid to share your truth. Thank you. 💕😇
I grew up in the 50's/60's and you hardly saw anyone obese. I operate the KISS principle and largely eat what my grandparents ate. My blood-work is stellar, I don't get colds and have never had flu. Cleared covid in two days.
You truly are a breath of fresh air and I very much appreciate you mentioning the arrogance etc that can exist in medical circles. Thankyou for your common sense. Very very VERY refreshing!
Finally, I am vindicated! As a young girl I hated margarine but that's all we ever had. As an adult and mother I served my girls butter and never believed the hype about eggs so we ate them anyway. But the best part of this video was about breakfast. I never wanted it as a child or adult. I don't even think about food till after 1pm. When it comes to eating I let my body tell me what it needs and when. I'm in my late 60's now, and a lot healthy than most young people today. Thank you, Dr. Dhand for confirming what my intuition already knew about health and food. Love your videos.
me to - and my secret is to make a blend of pure unsalted cultured butter 40/60 with Aussie cold pressed virgin olive oil. Add pure salt from organic salt lake nearby. I get a dose of 2 good oils plus a fab taste. Use in cooking or as a spread. Stays soft in the fridge, but is solid when you take it out of the fridge for about 10minutes - then it starts to liquify. Never eat cereal, plenty of free range eggs, eat when I am genuinly hungry, not by the clock. Am 68 good weight and healthy with untainted blood & no meds. Think I can live a good life to 100.
I highly recommend the book Lies My Doctor Told Me by DR Ken Berry. DR Dhand is a great DR who is wide awake to the current disease management system that we currently have.
Are you aware of Vit K2 MK7? When we take high amounts of Vit D/ Hormone D....we need Vit K2 MK7 with it...because it will then drive any calcium into our bones and teeth to strengthen them. Without Vit K2 MK7 calcium is used as plague to shore up our veins....leading to atherosclerosis. Now then, I have studied this at length....and do not like to take supplements as I think we should be able to get our most of our nutrients without supplementation....so I make myself Nettle tea straight from my garden...with fresh mint and add lemon juice. This is 'anecdotal' they say...but nettles have been used in foods and drinks for thousands of years as a 'blood cleanser'..... given what we have had to witness this past few years...maybe we should revisit the benefits of herbal /plant 'medicine'. Wishing you well. Xxx
Im in a wheelchair and had osteoporosis for a very long time, I took everything Dr's offered including the injections (BIG mistake) had more breaks on their drugs then I ever had on my own. In the end I ended up reversing my own osteoporosis using eggshells. Dry out crush oven bake @300 (do not brown or burn) just to sanitize, grind down to a fine powder and take 2 pinches a day, follow up with a bone density exam in 6mo. And I promise u'll see improvement, I couldn't believe something as simple as eggshells saved my bones.. it makes me think doctors are the biggest gatekeepers of knowledge. Even Google and web MD helps me to self diagnose b4 they do.. 😏
i am 80 years old and I will not take many medications that we "old" people are supposed to need. i do not get any injections what so ever and take what supplements my research and good judgement tell me to take. I have always eaten eggs in great numbers, feeling that it is a complete food. I was fooled by margarine for a few years though! I am healthy and active and not a doctor favourite. I very much appreciate your advice and insights. Thank you.
Not all hero’s wear capes. Thank you Dr Suneel for the honest common sense advise. I still have people say to me if I skip breakfast I’ll have health problems. Well it wasn’t me who got the health problems so far. If you do try and say it’s not necessarily so they absolutely refute it and continue eating breakfast unhealthy cereals and margarines etc. 💖🇦🇺
I'm 79 (and 6 months😊). Without really realising it I have followed what you recommend all my life. I assume passed on from my mother who lived to 92. It doesn't seem to be doing me any harm.
As a child growing up, my mother would make me breakfast everyday. When I vwas out on my own, "coffee" became my breakfast, and it still is, after all these years. Fasting in the morning gives me great energy. My own beliefs are: one to two meals a day keeps one healthy and at an ideal weight for his/her particular stature.
Hello Dr. Dhand! This is true. I've resently learned that real butter is better. Eggs are what I eat for protein. I rarely eat meat. I feel better since on intermittent fasting, not eat for 16-20 hours. And no sugar going on almost 3 yrs. I have more energy. It seems that's why many young people are not motivated. I have a 15 yr old grandson & I can tell the difference. Thanks so much for this. It helps confirm the way we are eating. You are really ! Appreciated. I really would like to know why our doctors dont share any dietary information with us. We can bring it up and sometimes they comment on it. Thanks again Dr. Dhand. God Bless!
Irene they don't know anything about food and supplements. There's no money in it. Also their knowledge comes from big pharma who teaches them how to promote drugs. That's where the big money is! Geniuses. Our help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. The medical profession is corrupt and so sad like the standard America diet. I strongly agree and always fought back against the butter and egg myths. Also, I have never been a breakfast person and did have a good metabolism. Never made that connection, thanks for that.
I sailed to lawas and moored up ,my wife went food shopping and came back with 2kg cheddar cheese, well it looked like cheddar I cut it up and packed it in the fridge, later I fancied roasted cheese and proceeded to grill , to my disgust it turned out to be processed cheese, I gave the remaining away to some local people ,later I sailed to labuan and moored up for 3 months when my wife decided to clean the fridge she found 1 block of that cheese and handed it to me , now it was hiding 4 months in the fridge and not a bit of mould or discolouration on it never eat processed foods ever

Amazing story, thanks for sharing!
Love reading about your grandparents. Thankyou. So lovely you had a strong connection/relationship with them.

I've been an RN for 40 years. So many lies, and it began when I was in nursing school.....
My Grandma told me that too and my Grandma lived to 6 months shy of turning 100.

Margarine is petroleum! Yuck!
It’s industrial seed oil. It’s vegetable oil that has been ultra processed.
When I started eating butter, I left a container of margarine in the back of the fridge. Many months later, I opened it, it looked like plastic.
I read somewhere years ago that margarine is one molecule from being plastic. If you put it out in the sun, Flys won't even land on it. That is how much it is not edible.

I like your thought process. 😊
My father was an automotive mechanical engineer, when I learned how to drive, he said everyone else on the road is capable of stupidity, be driver aware.
I think we have to adopt the same mentality with the medical fraternity.
1 Butter rather than margarine
2 Eggs are good for you.

After I took an antibiotic against Ureoplasma I am now UTI free for 5 years 🎉

Right! Lol.
I have lived most of my life under those false health beliefs, but fortunately changed things 6 years ago. We ate margarine when I was growing up and I always got Becel margarine when I was an adult. I did think about scurvy and Vit C plus rickets and Vit D at that time. So thankful that the Internet has made alternative medicine information available.

Thank you for confirming these myths.
I happened to hear a horticulturist on a radio gardening show, saying to get either Froot Loops or Frosted Flakes and to crush them to a powder and to feed that to the ants and that it would take care of the ants
She said ants don't do very well with a diet of corn and sugar. I stay away from the local medical clinic now due to it is too inconvenient for me, it was like I was their slave, those pills weren't helping me
I felt better after I stopped taking them.
Someone else wrote this that you might find interesting::
Just saw a video on a study in Sweden that showed people that lived to 100 had high overall cholesterol levels and low glucose levels.
So I ate what tasted good
. . real butter and eggs. And never ate breakfast to the dismay of my grandmother. Oh well.
I'm so glad you're online spreading good health information.
Keep up the good work.
Now I recognize that the body wants to heal itself and lifestyle choices support it in keeping everything in balance.
Years ago people didn't have junk food or medications and lived well.
You truly are a breath of fresh air and I very much appreciate you mentioning the arrogance etc that can exist in medical circles. Thankyou for your common sense. Very very VERY refreshing!
You are absolutely right Dr. Dhand! ❤
Thank you Dr
Thank God I woke up 2020 and fully awake in 2023
May God continue protecting you and your family
Yes to a supplement video Dr. Dhand. So many brands makes my head spin. As an older woman, I'd love to know especially about calcium.
Xxx
Celery.
Citrical is great for keeping bones strong. It's a supplement you'll find on the vitamins aisle.
I take eggshells too for natural calcium.
i am 80 years old and I will not take many medications that we "old" people are supposed to need. i do not get any injections what so ever and take what supplements my research and good judgement tell me to take. I have always eaten eggs in great numbers, feeling that it is a complete food. I was fooled by margarine for a few years though! I am healthy and active and not a doctor favourite. I very much appreciate your advice and insights. Thank you.
Love your straight forward comments. Thank you
Thank you DR. Dhand, you always give us excellent wisdom for our health!!! 💖 You are a blessing for your great knowledge!!! 👍😉
The biggest aisles are cereal and junk food aisles; one and the same. I love eggs from happy hens!
“Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”
Voltaire
Nice one. Bravo!
I am 67 I remember a cereal ad saying if you could pinch an inch it was time to diet. MY HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED.
I'm 79 (and 6 months😊).
Without really realising it I have followed what you recommend all my life. I assume passed on from my mother who lived to 92. It doesn't seem to be doing me any harm.
Awwww that book behind him! “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius! This wonderful man knows!
What an awesome doctor! We need millions of docs like you!!!
Dhand. God Bless!
Thanks for sharing your story here! You are correct- there’s no logical reason why every doctor shouldn’t be talking about this
Have you lost much weight?
Irene they don't know anything about food and supplements. There's no money in it. Also their knowledge comes from big pharma who teaches them how to promote drugs. That's where the big money is! Geniuses. Our help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. The medical profession is corrupt and so sad like the standard America diet. It's all connected in corruption cause that's where the money is.
Why avoid meat? Meat is very healthy as well.
@@theodorabruin4601 I am a person who never sweats.when I work out I get a bit of a sweat going. It feel good. I'm losing more inches from workout. I haven't weighed myself since the last two dr. Visits was 146lbs then 130lbs about 6 weeks later. My pant size is 4 now. It was 10 6 months ago. I dont feel it. But I'm glad. I started all this for health reasons. I never did eat alot of junk. Thanks for asking.
Keep going Suneel!!! Been watching your videos right through covid and I just wish everyone would follow your advice. We would halve the world's health issues overnight..... Why is our medical system so broken? Pills will not fix the worlds health issues.... I am shocked how the vast majority have no interest in their personal health... The healthy beggar is happier than the ailing king.....
Great advice from our real dr. The rest is money bags. You keep these vids coming.im not on any meds at 68 only vitamins foods exercise and prayer that's more than enough
I strongly agree and always fought back against the butter and egg myths. Yikes, and for real cheese in moderation as opposed to the fake cheeses recommended for people with heart or cholesterol issues. Crazy!
@@johnbaggus9966 Jaw dropping that we have to make sure the food is real! And sadly, of course fake cheese didn’t rot.
We have to be diligent and shop wisely. Keep healthy my friend.
Vitamins are the natural version of man made medicine
You are a treasure. I commend your integrity. Love and gratitude from South Afrika.
My cat is the only animal that wants to eat before she even goes to the bathroom in the am. Crazy lol
😂🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cats... so bleedin' greedy. Xxx
My dog too.
My dog gets me up at 6 am to eat and then goes back to sleep 😮
It's refreshing to have a Dhand who actually tells the TRUTH unlike the other 99% of the Medical Profession.
Not that the totality of the other 99% of the profession is lying, no, it could be because they are ignorant of the truth and facts.
You are so right in all four points. I remember in England an ad saying" go to work on an egg!!!" I love my muesli for breakfast, soaked from the night before made my me. Thank you 😊
Great video again thanks.
I have reduced my blood pressure to normal with just diet, cutting out processed food, eating more salads and eggs with bacon or sausage for brunch instead of toast and jam, lots of vitamin D etc.
Looking at replacing statin and blood thinner with nattokinaise, getting pharma free.
And maybe consider Ubiquinol.
Thank you love your videos!
What kind of Doctor is this A ONE OF A KIND OH HOW I WISH THE COUNTRY WAS FULL OF HIS KIND
Arrogance is the word. Why doctors are so arrogant? Is that because they are overpaid "know it all" clowns?
