Kumasi is the second-largest city in Ghana, after the capital of Ghana, Accra. It became the capital of the Ashanti region following its victory over Denkyira during Otumfuo Osei Tutu’s rule. The Central Business District of Kumasi includes areas such as Adum, Bantama, Kejetia etc. It’s also known as the ‘Garden City" because of its many species of flowers and plants in the past. It’s known for its rich culture and is home to one of the best Universities in Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. You can Also find the Manhyia palace here, as well as a number of locations for pottery, Kente and basket weaving. Kumasi is also home to Baba Yara Sports Stadium , which is the largest stadium in Ghana with a seating capacity of 40,428. There are also some beautiful absolutely beautiful neighbourhoods to live in within Kumasi.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
WHAT IS KUMASI IN GHANA FAMOUS FOR?, WHICH IS BIGGER ACCRA OR KUMASI?, WHAT TOWNS ARE IN KUMASI?, IS KUMASI A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE?, TRAVEL TO GHANA,MOVE TO GHANA,

That name is just disgusting. Can't a black man be proud on his own identity? Why must you always associate your self with America.

For authentic Kente,go to Bonwire. It's about an hour from Kumasi.
Kumasi Is a beautiful city
Indeed x
I have been to Kumasi, and there is nothing beautiful about it. It is dirty and not well organised. As usual, it is all about hype without substance.
@@adekunleyussuf4259You are a Nigerian right? Not surprised at all
@@adekunleyussuf4259Your ignorance is showing in here
Don’t you know Kumasi is one of the most oldest city in Ghana that is why it has so many old buildings but you saying is dirty bro you capping
Don’t you ever spew rubbish on here
Because we all know Nigeria is one of the most packed dirty cities in Africa
@adekunleyussuf4259 You are right, I am an Ashanti from Kumasi, it is very dirty place to live. There thrashes everywhere no rules.

Please there are beautiful residential areas in Kumasi though. Its beautiful
Jasmine I thought you would give we non Ghanaian viewers from outside Ghana a background on Ejisu as you drove past. Revered Nana Yaa Asantewaa was the Ejisuhemaa (Queen Mother of Ejisu. Her nephew was the Ejisuhene (ruler of Ejisu). The British Resident wanted to sit on the Dwa Sika (Golden Stool) a revered symbol of the Ashanti Kingdom an act considered insulting on Ashanti Royalty. Nana Yaa Asantewaa made her famous speech: ie where is the pride of the Ashanti? If the men will not go up and fight we shall". Nana led a squad of 5,000 to fight the British initially laid siege on the Fort at Kumasi. The British sent for reinforcements from other British West Africa countries. Nana was eventually defeated exiled to Seychelles were she died. Very important part of African history worth retelling on this your trip to the Ashanti Region.
Your thumbnail is hill top estate kwadaso- go there .. nice location
I went there thats how i got the picture lol. Video soon
African people on the continent and the diaspora thats ours get it sooner than later👊🏿🤛🏿✊🏿

Kumasi my happy place ❤❤❤ #Oseikrom de3 no size 🟡🖤🟢
REALLY enjoyed this video too, Jasmine. Nice to see another perspective on Kumasi. I think I'd live comfortably there (with a reliable generator). As a Fante speaker, I'm not sure about some of the local language barriers but will survive, nonetheless, I'm sure. I like the chilled vibe. The AirBnB looked very welcoming. Thank you for sharing.❤💛🖤💚
Glad you enjoyed it! U will do fine there ❤️❤️
Fante New Town in Kumasi will be great for you. I was born there. Mostly Fante inhabitants. They speak a blend of Fante and Twi.

Ohh okay
I enjoyed this. It's appalling that there is no consistent electricity in 2024. Parliament is concerned with the wrong things.
it became more frequent recently unfortunately
I've been on that bus vip
Love Ghana , better than Nigeria
Welcome to kumasi.....😀😀😀
Thank u 🥰
@Jasmine, when you said Baba Yara stadium is the largest in the country, I was smh 🤦🏾♂️ A football-loving country like Ghana we can’t built at least one world class stadium! My goodness, look at Côte d’Ivoire at the Afcon 😎
We will still complain about how much money will go into it if anyone does it.
I WONDER
JSmine, have you done a broadcast from Suyani?
Not yet xx
@@JasmineAmaa God willing
❤❤❤

I though thought I'd spent a magical day at a Durbur & Banquet in Kumasi but later realized it was actually Kyebi. Thanks for gisting that VIP bus service can take Me there😂

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
YOU NEED TO BE THERE 12TH MAY FOR OTUMFUO 25TH ANNIVERSARY, THAT WILL BE A BIG PROGRAMME
When they tell you about Kumasi roads believe them and don’t be “too know “
Oh it's unfortunate u cud not identify the beautiful places as does Okyere Darko
