Genshin player here, I tried to get a bit into honkai recently through TH-cam. But omg the lore is soo huge. It looks super interesting but also exhausting to go through as a beginner. I kept hearing the word herscher so I wanted to know what it meant. Lo and behold, this video exists! Thank you!

Bro the amount of alternate universes, characters, honkai in general and enemies just confuse the heck outta me- I'm overall someone who likes slow paced games which is why genshin was the 1st and only game that I actively play a lot so i wanted to try honkai too

Not every Herrscher has a "Herrscher persona", so to speak. That personality comes from their Stigma (I.E. Mei's Stigma manifesting as the Herrscher of Thunder, or the "other" Seele, which we know was born from Seele's Stigma). Kiana and Senti are special cases, and exceptions to the rule.
Schicksal means "destiny" in German. Fatui is consonant with Fatum, which is also fate. And if shiksal fights honkai, then fatui fights celestia. Maybe celestia and honkai are related or it's just a coincidence of names...The new character Li Sushang Jade Knight on the dress ribbons has exactly the same sign as the Fatui emblem. Again a coincidence...

A bit of correction. While the 13 are indeed MANTISes they are the only Flame-Chasers. MANTIS is a project to modified soldiers with Honkai genes hence they are a lot of MANTISes. Flame-Chasers is the group that created by Elysia after The Tragedy of Binding that left the MOTH with only 13 MANTIS survivors.
Mantis can be almost every human alive. If i remember correctly ，万物休眠 not only put certain flame chasers into hibernation but also carried a whole genetically engineered genome base along with it. The humans in honkai story are not technically humans. They are descends of the genetically engineered Humans from the previous era. However thru out human history, for most humans, extra gene info can naturally devolve and is locked. And stigmata is the phenotype of such gene manipulation. There are several famous figures in human history who are also natural "awakeners". For instance,姬轩辕 and King Arthur. This means their genes are not locked that hard. They have better compatibility with honkai energy.

As a player who's played this game almost since launch this video is a godsend. Many newer players ask me about the lore and I know the lore but find it hard to articulate so I just send them this video :) Keep up the amazing work!

This is the first time any of the story made sense. Ty ty ty. I would love too see more explanations on how everyone knows each other and all that. It seems everyone has so many different variations and it's a LOT to make sense of haha.

The Honkai actually didn't manage to eradicate Humanity because the final Herrscher retreated after it has been severely damaged by Kevin in his MANTIS form thus gives the world an another chance.
So the story of honkai is similar to what jjk , bleach and demon slayer is overall , where honkai monsters are hollows or curses and hershers are upper moons And on the other hand we have a soul society or demon slayer organisation
Okay, I was skeptical whether or not I should start playing another Hoyo game, because I'm already a daily Genshin and occasional Star Rail player. But after watching this video and repeatedly seeing Honkai Impact 3rd pop up in my Play Store, I might as well give it a go. There goes my free time. 😅

Cause I know the surviving soldiers , had help from Prometheus and re-cloned or re-created humanity. using advanced technology. And I know that an ark was sent out to the rest of the universe to re-create or repopulate humanity .(Genshin impact and Honkai Star rail planets where humanity repopulated on different planets) Pretty much this is just my theory 50,000 years ago, the surviving humans the soldiers sent out Ark to repopulate on a different planets. Which actually worked. Genshin impact planet was colonize 6000 years ago because time does flow differently on different planets that time dilation since they’re moving fast speed of light. Honkai Star rail planets, with for them was roughly 1000 years ago.

I started getting back into Genshin last fall and just recently got to Enkanomiya... *Minor Genshin lore spoilers below* ... ... ... ... it's interesting to see the "modern civilization built on the ruins of an ancient civilization" theme reflected in HI3. I'm curious to see if/how that's going to tie in to Star Rail, maybe something to do with the history of the trailblaze? Either way, I've tried to get into HI3 before but it feels completely overwhelming and impenetrable trying to get into the game at this point. I'm glad there are videos like this going over the lore because I want to see how Genshin and HSR tie into the wider Hoyo universe, even if I don't have the time to catch up on 8 years of content lol.

When I type in "honkai impact 3de full story" I expect a 50hour long video of all the story and every relevant cut scene and dialog. Not 10 minutes. Genshins full story is like hundreds of hours long. If not 1000 hours long.

This has to be the most all over the place story I've ever gotten into, and the fact NO hardcore fan can explain the story as a whole only proves my point that this games story is just messy much like Genshin. I can explain the lore of a LOT of games with ongoing lore very easily, but when it comes to Honkai I just tell people its about lesbians, and that's it because its lore is so convoluted and measy that the only take away is chicks liking chicks. And don't get me started on the 8 million different versions of each character that somehow knows about their other versions 😂 Fu Hua is a prime example of that logic bomb mess.

Like ive seen some random vid before which in the comment someone said GGZ is HI2 a prequel to HI3 and then what ive known so far there's like 50000 years for every cycle? Well it does Takes Place in a World Similar to Ours, but honestly, who knows if Countries like Indonesia, Korea, and others still Exist. What we do know is that Russia, Japan, China, Europe still Exists. Probably more, but i can't remember for the Life of me.

You know what’s crazy? She keeps going on and on about Honkai info overload. Has your brain exploded yet? Did you get all that? The truth is I did. She is literally the person I’ve watched that has explained this the simplest and most clearly. There was another guy who was pretty in depth and all but his accent made it painful to listen to and couldn’t get all the info. Kudos to you ma’am.
Truth be told, i like the world building and the premisse but the plot progression and storytelling is bottom tier and that's me coming from Azur Lane. It's convoluted, needlessly complex and new terms are thrown in just for good measure. Coupled with the fact that they randomly use german vocab like "Welt, Schmerz, Geist, Seele, Unverdunkelheit, Schinkenwurst, Schicksal" is just adding to injury. The girls are looking cute, though.
Genshin has made everyone's brain into mush. Also this game has been out for 6 years, constantly putting out content, so of course there is a lot of lore. Should genshin stay alive for 6yrs, do you know how big that stupid map would be by then?
6:08 i think there is a reason on why women are more adaptable to honkai energy. having higher adaptability means higher chance to survive in case humanity is wiped out. because to repopulate the earth humanity need more women than man.
In my opinion, Honkai just feels like testing ground for mihoyo's models. I mean you p much just fight in 1 arena every stage with 1/3 of it being unlocked after each wave of enemies. Feels bland. We all know why every character in the game is a girl, I don't have to spell it out. Idk it feels like there is the game made for degenerate gacha fans, and then there is a separate story made to fit the characters, as opposed to the characters fitting the story. This leaves us with a lot of things that barely make sense in the story, which imo is holding it back.

There must be reason to it right? Like ive seen some random vid before which in the comment someone said GGZ is HI2 a prequel to HI3 and then what ive known so far there's like 50000 years for every cycle? Correct me if im wrong
And then we got HoTe and HoFi which will bring the end and reset everything right?
Which is HoTe from GGZ bring the end and reset it to what we know now as HI3 also HI3 is ending right?
And then i saw another comment said SR is the sequel to HI3 but many object it and said that the part that HI3 ending is just part 1 and they'll be part 2 which again confuses me because some said kiana will be back on part 2 some said kiana wont be back
But well the point is if its called HI3 there must be HI2 and HI1 i just need to know if GGZ is HI2 and what is HI1 referred to or there is no such thing as HI1

Bruh I've been playing for like 2 or 3 years, i took like 6 months off in between and don't minmax my stuff, and I've just skipped basically all the story because I'm only playing to get shiny big numbers and flashy effects rather than for the story.

Well it does Takes Place in a World Similar to Ours, but honestly, who knows if Countries like Indonesia, Korea, and others still Exist.
What we do know is that Russia, Japan, China, Europe still Exists. Probably more, but i can't remember for the Life of me.

You know what’s crazy? She keeps going on and on about Honkai info overload. Has your brain exploded yet? Did you get all that? The truth is I did. She is literally the person I’ve watched that has explained this the simplest and most clearly. There was another guy who was pretty in depth and all but his accent made it painful to listen to and couldn’t get all the info.

Truth be told, i like the world building and the premisse but the plot progression and storytelling is bottom tier and that's me coming from Azur Lane. It's convoluted, needlessly complex and new terms are thrown in just for good measure. Coupled with the fact that they randomly use german vocab like "Welt, Schmerz, Geist, Seele, Unverdunkelheit, Schinkenwurst, Schicksal" is just adding to injury. The girls are looking cute, though.
Genshin has made everyone's brain into mush.
Also this game has been out for 6 years, constantly putting out content, so of course there is a lot of lore. Should genshin stay alive for 6yrs, do you know how big that stupid map would be by then?
6:08 i think there is a reason on why women are more adaptable to honkai energy. having higher adaptability means higher chance to survive in case humanity is wiped out. because to repopulate the earth humanity need more women than man.

In my opinion, Honkai just feels like testing ground for mihoyo's models. I mean you p much just fight in 1 arena every stage with 1/3 of it being unlocked after each wave of enemies. Feels bland. We all know why every character in the game is a girl, I don't have to spell it out.
Idk it feels like there is the game made for degenerate gacha fans, and then there is a separate story made to fit the characters, as opposed to the characters fitting the story.
This leaves us with a lot of things that barely make sense in the story, which imo is holding it back.
TLDR, a simp ruined everything.
