The reason combat in games like Deep Rock Galactic work is because you can visibly see and FEEL the impact of your bullets deconstructing the body and organs of the bugs, and the way they recoil from damage taken and react to what you do. When you take that away and make every enemy an immovable tank, you no longer feel like you're "fighting", you just feel like you're causing damage numbers to pop up.

@@UltimateGenosykoI use raiden shogun, arlecchino, venti and bennett in a team for fontaine domains. Not hard to get the enemies in the void if you draw them toward you like the mechs. Other enemies do get sucked into it and that makes things easier but overall most trouble i could find would be having to use Arlecchino's burst to heal because of not dodging in time.

Let's not forget that venti had great potential as an anemo supporter especially with constellations, but Xiao, whose entire kit revolved around aoe plunging and greatly benefited from grouped up enemies, was made to have PERFECT hit boxes to NOT work with venti ult despite his plunge animation even depicting verticality with the spear effects

they didn't make him obsolete, or rather they reverted that back in 2.1. he still pulls most enemies in (or ALL enemies except bosses if they're frozen/petrified) and they still occasionally release new bosses that don't move from their spot a lot. thanks to Venti, i didn't have to learn the fatui operatives' moves, both Coppelia and Coppelius are a joke, and i have Kazuha free for the second half of the abyss. his ult also eats through the Baptist's shields pretty fast so he's good for the second half as well. stop listening to the doomposters and try using him for yourself, he's still strong and super fun to play!
@@nemoraliaHe did tho. Ever since 2.x or so, Practically Sucrose & Kazuha can do what Venti does BUT Better. There is absolutely no reason to use Venti over Kazuha or Sucrose unless you simply want to. This isn't "because they Buff on top of CC" but by simply how their CC Works. Kazuha & Sucrose can still group immovable Enemies without the need of Freeze unlike Venti that need them to get Frozen before they can get sucked by His Q, because His E doesn't have any form of CC. Granted Sucrose needs C1 or Sacrificial to have Her CC actually reliable, but its a fair comparison since She's 4 Stars. Mind you I'm not hating on Venti, neither doomposting, because I'm also irritated how Venti got so many indirect nerf to the point He became obsoleted before even I can fully experience His Cheats lmao

@@zzzkeiii yeah. It's not so much that the character needs to be thebest of the element (though that typically happens too), but it should be the best at the element's sort of "archetype." Best example, Zhongli is the best shielder in the game, bar none. But... He only shields, so he's not really all that Meta in terms of power. He just makes the game very convenient.

Venti is my favorite Archon, and I pulled him even after I got Kazuha just out of love for the character. Still, I hate what they did to him, he's an Archon after all, and they made a random samurai (no hate towards Kazu boy, I love him) stronger and more valuable than the God of wind. Same thing with what they did to freeze teams. As a veteran player and as someone who used to enjoy the Abyss bc of replayability with different teams, I hate what they've been doing recently, not making the abyss harder but just more annoying overall.
Bosses are not usually a problem for Ayaka freeze unless it's really cryo resistant or immune which has been the trend in versions 3-4 of spiral abyss rotations.
that's literally the fate of EVERY gacha though... powercreep is a killer. doesn't matter how good or popular a character is, they will inevitably be outclassed by new characters, and in order to keep those newer characters from curb stomping everything the content has to get harder, pushing out the older characters. If they were to then go back and buff older characters to be more in line, no one would pull for the new ones and the cashflow would stop. It's the unfortunate nature of the genre, they need old characters like venti to become obsolete so that players will pay for the new ones.

For the last 3 years recap provided by Hoyo, Venti is always on the most used character for exploring when I play. I never removed him in the abyss since his 2nd re run where I got him.
They need to introduce some sort of stun mechanic where big units can be knocked around after enough consistent damage or elemental reactions hit so they can be carried by stuff by Venti's black hole cause just making them damage sponges made the game feel worse for everyone overall.
I believe that the only true characters currently that are going to be forgotten or maybe I should say won't be played are Dehya and Qiqi. They're not really going to be forgotten because people will always complain at how bad they are but let's be honest, they're unusable (especially Qiqi) and there is no way to buff them. Other than the two of them, every 5 star we currently have is good, some better, some worse, but there are always people who want to play them, especially because a lot of people (or at least people I've met) main characters that they like because of visuals or story, not because of numbers on the screen. Obviously teams like Ayaka Freeze aren't as popular like Neuvi Hypercarry but does it even matter for any player that likes Ayaka freeze? I don't think so.

He was too strong, and because of that his kit doesn't really offer anything else because Mihoyo rightfully understood how strong he was. If they had made the suction weaker and given him something else I think he'd still be top tier.
As someone who has mained venti from 1.0 i really think mohoyo has smth for Venti. There is no 2nd story quest and..a best in slot artifact for him. Venti is a Sub dps.VV and emblem which is bis for venti are supportive artifacts. A sub dps character with supportive artifacts..idk man its like Bennet with 4 set of crimson which works but not the ideal kit yk what i mean. I dont think its venti over . Hoyo must have something for him.

I genuinely think Venti is one of if not the best Archon, he's the perfect mix of genuinely caring for his people and wanting to help (Nahida), wanting to mingle with them and feel close to them (Furina) and allowing them to deal with their problems themselves when he trusts they can manage without him, allowing them to become stronger in the process (Zhongli). Unironically the best deity in the game. AND he's a goofy, silly guy? What more do you want?
I've loved Venti as a character so much and was pretty dismayed by the fact that Hoyo seemed dead set on reducing his usability. Some characters have had their roles expand over time, and I'm hoping that Hoyo revisits Venti to give him a second wind.
Something that should be added is that sucrose and c2 kasuha gain massive value with dendro do to the EM they provide making the better anemo unit for dendro teams
Venti is still my most used unit lol. Usually with Klee too. I'm pissed for Venti not pulling her bombs when he pulls other objects like enemy drops but they are that good even without the combo. At least outside f12 abyss but that place isn't fun anyway.
i decided to pull for venti and I don't regret it at all he's still amazing in domains and anything else i use him for so i refuse to let him go off of my team but also its kinda hilarious how he kinda got the gojo treatment from hoyo because of how he was the strongest one so hoyo essentially tried to kill his usefulness
honestly it’s sad how bad venti is. every archon is supposed to be the BEST of their element- and that’s true for every other archon. nahida; best dendro support, basically a requirement for dendro teams raiden; best electrons dps AND on field carry zhongli; best shielder overall and let’s be honest, the only really good and versatile geo character furina; literally redefined the meta, amazing buffer, amazing off field dmg/hydro app, etc venti; worse than a 4 star released at the same time while, yes, venti is technically still the best at crowd control.. that very same crowd control, and cc in general, has become so useless it’s literally better to use a random 4 star (sucrose) than the literal god of wind.. even ayaka teams prefer sucrose and kazuha bc they provide more than JUST cc and a bit of er. plus with freeze, enemies are kept still, so you don’t need the lvl of cc venti provides. pull them to one spot quickly, freeze them, and kill them before they can get away

As a Venti main since day 1… yes it hurts to listen to the truth, however he will still be permanently in my part, I dream for a buff at least for his constellations. Even for lore sake, he deserves some more love.
i’m a Venti haver, never had Kazuha, and I use the Anemo Archon despite having these issues… regardless… Hoyoverse had to release immovable enemies because that’s just how busted and overpowered Venti really is, but Venti will forever be the best at sucking enemies and making them stay in one place. He had his fair share of his time, and he’s giving the other characters to shine. He’ll forever be an amazing character to me
I have him and I don’t regret pulling him, he does make that scenario he’s good in really easy. As well as synergies with my favorite character, wanderer. I think his nerf was a very unique case but plenty of characters have shifted in and out of the meta. Ganyu for example was practically the best on release and now struggles just like venti. However in Ganyus case she is a dps so it’s a bit different. I would like to see a video about the other 2 OG archons because they’ve faded in and out of relevancy, especially Zhongli.
@@GIOVI-C45 well I just run him with Bennett and Faruzan, he benefits from both buffs as well and Scaras AoE encompasses ventis ult and the enemies being raised off the floor isn’t an issue so it’s convenient and practical.
@@elisalopez9324 oh I don’t use zhongli, don’t have him, and furina is better anyways. But I guess those three archons can each be swapped out depending on the situation.
Zhongli is still absolutely relevant, his Abyss usage rate in 4.6 was 69.8%. With characters like Arlecchino who lowers her own HP or Neuvillette who relies on charged attacks he makes it for a veryyyy comfortable play since you don't need to worry about dying or getting interrupted, he's still the strongest shielder in the game.
I mean honestly I just use venti in every abyss 8-11 as well as for exploration to just skip half the puzzles with venti+kazuha I agree that in abyss 12 he isnt the most useful character, but as someone who pulled him in 2.6 i think and - I do not regret the pull one bit
As someone who played Moryana since 2.0, without Kokomi or Kazuha (even if i had them) I have noticed how often I have benched this team since 3.0 for sure. I always thought freeze was basically inviolable, esp after the release of Kokomi and Kazuha, and while these two still make it manageable every other rotation, if these two are not on your account, the team is benched or a pain to play. I do think this make the overall game healthier but damn, I really was upped by mihoyo. The flaws were always laid bare, and having a team be this strong for over 2 years is still pretty insane, but of course some variety is necessary.
It's an issue with anemo in general sadly. As these nerfs also effected many others including Anemo Traveler, Jean and Sucrose. Now the best thing Anemo Traveler and Jean can do with their Anemo pick up abilities is maybe throw Klee's mines into enemy faces. Sucrose used to be a great alternative to Venti as well, now I almost never use her as her primary plusses were for the same reason Venti was also but on top of sucking people up she'd debuff them as well. They badly need to readjust weights of enemies. I don't care if Venti was OP back then. It was the whole fun appeal of anemo itself was the vacuum cleaner ability on most of the early anemo peeps.
Jean you could say got "buffed" with release of Furina. She's amazing partner with her if you need healing and for people who didn't decide to pull for Xianyun but wanted to run Xiao+Furina team, she's perfect and can wear VV which already makes her good unit. Sucrose will always be there to replace Kazuha's place if you don't have him also because she can wear VV and on top of that Thrilling Tales is also the option. With Venti it's tricky, he sends enemies flying so you can't hit them, but still if you ask any player who isn't hating Venti if he's still good, they will say he is but in specific scenarios. Kazuha is obviously currently must pull. And let's be honest, the only good traveler is dendro one. Other than supportive units we still have Xiao who got buffed or Scara who's just good in his best team. Anemo is already amazing element but as we can see vacuuming enemies didn't go through with other Anemo units.
I use my venti to clear floors 9-11 of the abyss. For floor 12 he's pretty useless since they make sure to put bosses on both sides and he's not good with them. They really made sure to nerf him to the ground lol.
Venti just needs a pure fiction version of abyss. He will be absolute meta in that but we only get that during events. And also great at speedrunning floor 9-11. My Childe Venti Albedo are still my go to characters for floor 9-11.

The new mode has a Vigor system that lets you run the same character only twice and i assume there is gonna be a lot of small enemies in the first stages. I can't wait that to come out ngl
As Sucrose Mainer i realized kazowa isn’t really that important againt venti the problem is that the cute alchemist was plenty enough to replace him making kazowa by extension more of meta focus one to pull later.
i think its worth noting that back then both childe and xiao in 1.1 and 1.2 were basically made to NOT synergize with venti which is pretty insane as they would otherwise be literally perfect pairings
bro i just rewatched your lie in april . i got jumpscared by the chopin piece halfway through the video 😭😭😭 ALSO !!! about venti being good for exploration, xianyun is also amazing for exploration. if you time it right, you can use her skill and be constantly either sprinting or "jumping" with her skill - either forwards or upwards !!! she also heals and enables plunging atks. i only pulled for her because she's drop dead gorgeous and it was time for me to learn how to use swirl (finally after 3 years) but she's very useful in all my teams and i can't explore the world without her
Venti would be good for exploration if they didn't add a gadget that essentially replaced him entirely. He's still good for abyss since hoyoverse loves to spread small enemies that hurl stuff at you. But that's essentially all he's good for, at least to me. I was definitely miffed about the anti synergy with Klee. That was the only reason I got her. Benched her for Diluc later. :/
Im happy I got him right away in 1.0 for I dislike chasing down enemy groups, made early abyss super easy too. Like I cleared abyss 12 when my max level team was 70 and team stats were around 30% crit and 100% cdmg and the mains on that team where Venti and Klee and those two have go me to clear floor 12 in every version of abyss pretty much haha.
Venti deserves to have a secondary charged attack that gaives a small cc effect or something. His C1 could even have increased the area of it slightly with the extra arrows.
You know, crowd control ability is influenced by character level, so if the rumors about being able to level up a character from lv.90 to lv.100 are true, perhaps Venti will get some sort of “buff”, at least on his crowd control.
@@usmanya5110 enemy cannot be stunned when being vacuumed by Anemo abilities like Anemo Traveler Burst if the enemy is 20 levels higher than you. A lvl 60 Traveler can't stun lvl 81 enemies for example, so they will keep attackng you even when inside the tornado from Burst.
Venti said it himself he was the weakest of all archons and Hoyoverse made sure to hold it truthfully sadly. This is why I believe his best play style is by using sacrificial bow to Abuse his Tap E and Charge E while keeping the black hole with still high attack 2000+ to still do decent basics for driving if using as main dps. Either that or a physical venti with 3000 atk and the standard banner bow with the Sumeru anemo set to boost charge and normals.
I think the main issue is venti's weapon and his cc going against him , unlike kazuha who is a sword user he can go close to enemies and pull them towards him and the enemies will stay in the middle of his burst , while venti he is a bow user ,so what happens is he needs to go back a distance and use his burst ,doing so the enemies end up coming towards venti and they escape his burst , so venti won't even be able to deal damage , pretty much useless against heavier enemies , i hope they fix that cause i really want to use him again 😕
back in inazuma i had a feeling that Venti will be the last one if im going to collect all the archons. also i didnt feel that difficulty spike in inazuma at all, guess people didnt build their characters right even back then.
They had to nerf Venti. He was way to strong.😅 But what they should've done was raised his multipliers to keep him relative. I still use Venti to quickly clear floors 9 through 11.
venti is the reason i played genshin. triple-crowned him and gave him the best artifacts i could get no matter how unlucky i am with artifacts. he isn't leaving my team even after i get kazuha. it's just sad that they nerfed him. he deserves better
Venti main here. I still used him even though I have Kazuha. He shines in Spiral Abyss Floor 9-11 (especially that damned tower defense, the 4.7 Floor 11 Second Phase was a pain).❤
If the leaks about the lvl 100 are true, i hope they take that chance to give some characters a new passive to make them come back It's not like they'll lose anything if they buff a weak character, we're just going to go pulling him, which some of us would not be motivated to before
it’s so frustrating to me, because venti is the only archon that was bested in his own field. zhongli is still the best shield, despite many shield characters getting released. raiden is still arguably the best electro battery and driver despite different electro characters having gotten released. nahida is the best dendro applier, despite many new dendro characters being released. furina is currently the best hydro sub-dps, if not the best sub-dps/support overall (rivaling that of even bennett). and venti is the only archon that was power crept almost immediately. he is a good anemo support, yes, but is easily replaceable by kazuha, xianyun or sucrose. it doesn’t make sense, because they still do character reruns. so if they didn’t make his kit as lacking as they did (in comparison to other supports), he’d most likely be a similar situation to raiden, who has great selling banners on each of her reruns. and so does zhongli and nahida. and i’m certain furina will as well.
Somehow I feel in future venti will come out the strongest after completing a certain story quest maybe we will get a boost like after that story quest we claim a power in which his ultimate can now suck all the enemies including azhdaha like massive ones 😂😂😂
I feel like the earlier 5 star characters need a buff. The newer characters have impressively animated bursts, but I feel like the early characters could use some of that love
I just hope that Venti gets a buff in Snezhnaya. It's his neighboring country and the tsaritsa was his friend. If not a buff, just give him a huge role in the lore. I really hope we go back to Mondstadt before going to Khaenri'ah
I think its also important to note that there are players who whale on characters, spending a lot of money on one or even multiple characters, raising them to god-like powers, if then those same users would go on to say "this game is boring, the mobs/bosses are too easy for us", that is also something that the game devs would think about, its an impossible balance to walk, f2p accounts wont have the "best" 5* characters and weapons, they're gonna have an easy time leveling characters, beating bosses vs. Whales who can clear spiral abyss by soloing a character on each side. Welkin may seem cheap to pay so you get more primogems but paying £5 every month over 4 years, thats £240, thats more than you'd spend on a game on a 3ds or some steam games (im not gonna get into the precious crystal gems that have a 1:1 transformation rate to primogems) I am guessing to say at most it would be about 30-45% of their user base that at least buys welkin blessing, more than 3 or 4 times since they've started playing. Saving primogems takes so long, and sometimes the characters aren't even guaranteed, if the game devs don't raise the world building and difficulty in game play, some people may even regret investing all that money ($1000's), balancing that while also not alienating players who are free to play, they may be choosing to tilt the scales towards their bag 💰
Dendro element not being swirlable was only a nail in the Dendro element's coffin for me, not Venti's lol. It's still me second least often used element only above Geo.
I didn't start playing Genshin Impact until around 1.5yrs ago, and only sparingly (I'm talking 30-60minutes every 6 months LOL, it wasn't until last month I finally got out of Mondstadt, the starting city!!!!) Even though Venti has been nerfed, I still pulled this fun lil' guy. He's currently on my main team, though once Nilou gets her rerelease and I finally have my full Bloom team he'll get booted to another team comp. He's still super fun to play with :D
You forgot about the fact that when Kazuha first came out people didn't like him much They were all saying "oh a worst version of Venti" or "He need C6 to be a DPS" Little did they realize they made the biggest mistake ever and iirc after Kazuha banner was gone they started seeing how strong Kazuha really was and wished for a rerun for so long and it took 6-8 months for his first rerun

they didn't make him obsolete, or rather they reverted that back in 2.1. he still pulls most enemies in (or ALL enemies except bosses if they're frozen/petrified) and they still occasionally release new bosses that don't move from their spot a lot. thanks to Venti, i didn't have to learn the fatui operatives' moves, both Coppelia and Coppelius are a joke, and i have Kazuha free for the second half of the abyss. his ult also eats through the Baptist's shields pretty fast so he's good for the second half as well. stop listening to the doomposters and try using him for yourself, he's still strong and super fun to play!

Ever since 2.x or so, Practically Sucrose & Kazuha can do what Venti does BUT Better.
There is absolutely no reason to use Venti over Kazuha or Sucrose unless you simply want to.
This isn't "because they Buff on top of CC" but by simply how their CC Works.
Kazuha & Sucrose can still group immovable Enemies without the need of Freeze unlike Venti that need them to get Frozen before they can get sucked by His Q, because His E doesn't have any form of CC.
Granted Sucrose needs C1 or Sacrificial to have Her CC actually reliable, but its a fair comparison since She's 4 Stars.
Mind you I'm not hating on Venti, neither doomposting, because I'm also irritated how Venti got so many indirect nerf to the point He became obsoleted before even I can fully experience His Cheats lmao

Best example, Zhongli is the best shielder in the game, bar none. But... He only shields, so he's not really all that Meta in terms of power. He just makes the game very convenient.

Venti is actually tragic.
Venti is my favorite Archon, and I pulled him even after I got Kazuha just out of love for the character. Still, I hate what they did to him, he's an Archon after all, and they made a random samurai (no hate towards Kazu boy, I love him) stronger and more valuable than the God of wind.
Same thing with what they did to freeze teams.
As a veteran player and as someone who used to enjoy the Abyss bc of replayability with different teams, I hate what they've been doing recently, not making the abyss harder but just more annoying overall.

Venti and Freeze both are nerfed hard, abyss nowadays always have 2 floor mob enemy and then a boss, and vice versa for other side.

Bosses are not usually a problem for Ayaka freeze unless it's really cryo resistant or immune which has been the trend in versions 3-4 of spiral abyss rotations.

Nerfing characters like this on gacha games is craazyy, imagine spending hundreds of dollars to get a character just for it to become bad later
that's literally the fate of EVERY gacha though... powercreep is a killer. doesn't matter how good or popular a character is, they will inevitably be outclassed by new characters, and in order to keep those newer characters from curb stomping everything the content has to get harder, pushing out the older characters.
If they were to then go back and buff older characters to be more in line, no one would pull for the new ones and the cashflow would stop. It's the unfortunate nature of the genre, they need old characters like venti to become obsolete so that players will pay for the new ones.

For the last 3 years recap provided by Hoyo, Venti is always on the most used character for exploring when I play. I never removed him in the abyss since his 2nd re run where I got him.
They need to introduce some sort of stun mechanic where big units can be knocked around after enough consistent damage or elemental reactions hit so they can be carried by stuff by Venti's black hole cause just making them damage sponges made the game feel worse for everyone overall.
Something like a stagger bar that is common for newest arpgs and for some gachas like wuthering waves

I believe that the only true characters currently that are going to be forgotten or maybe I should say won't be played are Dehya and Qiqi. They're not really going to be forgotten because people will always complain at how bad they are but let's be honest, they're unusable (especially Qiqi) and there is no way to buff them. Other than the two of them, every 5 star we currently have is good, some better, some worse, but there are always people who want to play them, especially because a lot of people (or at least people I've met) main characters that they like because of visuals or story, not because of numbers on the screen. Obviously teams like Ayaka Freeze aren't as popular like Neuvi Hypercarry but does it even matter for any player that likes Ayaka freeze? I don't think so.

He was too strong, and because of that his kit doesn't really offer anything else because Mihoyo rightfully understood how strong he was. If they had made the suction weaker and given him something else I think he'd still be top tier.

As someone who has mained venti from 1.0 i really think mohoyo has smth for Venti. There is no 2nd story quest and..a best in slot artifact for him. Venti is a Sub dps.VV and emblem which is bis for venti are supportive artifacts. A sub dps character with supportive artifacts..idk man its like Bennet with 4 set of crimson which works but not the ideal kit yk what i mean. I dont think its venti over . Hoyo must have something for him.

I've loved Venti as a character so much and was pretty dismayed by the fact that Hoyo seemed dead set on reducing his usability. Some characters have had their roles expand over time, and I'm hoping that Hoyo revisits Venti to give him a second wind.
Something that should be added is that sucrose and c2 kasuha gain massive value with dendro do to the EM they provide making the better anemo unit for dendro teams
Venti is still my most used unit lol. Usually with Klee too. I'm pissed for Venti not pulling her bombs when he pulls other objects like enemy drops but they are that good even without the combo. At least outside f12 abyss but that place isn't fun anyway.

even ayaka teams prefer sucrose and kazuha bc they provide more than JUST cc and a bit of er. plus with freeze, enemies are kept still, so you don’t need the lvl of cc venti provides. pull them to one spot quickly, freeze them, and kill them before they can get away

As a Venti main since day 1… yes it hurts to listen to the truth, however he will still be permanently in my part, I dream for a buff at least for his constellations. Even for lore sake, he deserves some more love.

i’m a Venti haver, never had Kazuha, and I use the Anemo Archon despite having these issues… regardless… Hoyoverse had to release immovable enemies because that’s just how busted and overpowered Venti really is, but Venti will forever be the best at sucking enemies and making them stay in one place. He had his fair share of his time, and he’s giving the other characters to shine. He’ll forever be an amazing character to me

I have him and I don’t regret pulling him, he does make that scenario he’s good in really easy. As well as synergies with my favorite character, wanderer. I think his nerf was a very unique case but plenty of characters have shifted in and out of the meta. Ganyu for example was practically the best on release and now struggles just like venti. However in Ganyus case she is a dps so it’s a bit different. I would like to see a video about the other 2 OG archons because they’ve faded in and out of relevancy, especially Zhongli.

@@GIOVI-C45 well I just run him with Bennett and Faruzan, he benefits from both buffs as well and Scaras AoE encompasses ventis ult and the enemies being raised off the floor isn’t an issue so it’s convenient and practical.

@@elisalopez9324 oh I don’t use zhongli, don’t have him, and furina is better anyways. But I guess those three archons can each be swapped out depending on the situation.
Zhongli is still absolutely relevant, his Abyss usage rate in 4.6 was 69.8%. With characters like Arlecchino who lowers her own HP or Neuvillette who relies on charged attacks he makes it for a veryyyy comfortable play since you don't need to worry about dying or getting interrupted, he's still the strongest shielder in the game.

As someone who played Moryana since 2.0, without Kokomi or Kazuha (even if i had them) I have noticed how often I have benched this team since 3.0 for sure. I always thought freeze was basically inviolable, esp after the release of Kokomi and Kazuha, and while these two still make it manageable every other rotation, if these two are not on your account, the team is benched or a pain to play. I do think this make the overall game healthier but damn, I really was upped by mihoyo. The flaws were always laid bare, and having a team be this strong for over 2 years is still pretty insane, but of course some variety is necessary.
It's an issue with anemo in general sadly. As these nerfs also effected many others including Anemo Traveler, Jean and Sucrose. Now the best thing Anemo Traveler and Jean can do with their Anemo pick up abilities is maybe throw Klee's mines into enemy faces. Sucrose used to be a great alternative to Venti as well, now I almost never use her as her primary plusses were for the same reason Venti was also but on top of sucking people up she'd debuff them as well.
They badly need to readjust weights of enemies. I don't care if Venti was OP back then. It was the whole fun appeal of anemo itself was the vacuum cleaner ability on most of the early anemo peeps.
Jean you could say got "buffed" with release of Furina. She's amazing partner with her if you need healing and for people who didn't decide to pull for Xianyun but wanted to run Xiao+Furina team, she's perfect and can wear VV which already makes her good unit. Sucrose will always be there to replace Kazuha's place if you don't have him also because she can wear VV and on top of that Thrilling Tales is also the option. With Venti it's tricky, he sends enemies flying so you can't hit them, but still if you ask any player who isn't hating Venti if he's still good, they will say he is but in specific scenarios. Kazuha is obviously currently must pull. And let's be honest, the only good traveler is dendro one. Other than supportive units we still have Xiao who got buffed or Scara who's just good in his best team. Anemo is already amazing element but as we can see vacuuming enemies didn't go through with other Anemo units.
Dunno bout you but sucrose C6 is still the best buffer for showcase teams along with C1 mona.
Maybe in imaginary permanent combat would make him useable again because there were small enemies shown that can be vacuumed
I use my venti to clear floors 9-11 of the abyss. For floor 12 he's pretty useless since they make sure to put bosses on both sides and he's not good with them. They really made sure to nerf him to the ground lol.
Venti is my first five character and he was my first main and now he switched from main to support and he will never be replaced
Venti just needs a pure fiction version of abyss. He will be absolute meta in that but we only get that during events.
And also great at speedrunning floor 9-11. My Childe Venti Albedo are still my go to characters for floor 9-11.

As Sucrose Mainer i realized kazowa isn’t really that important againt venti the problem is that the cute alchemist was plenty enough to replace him making kazowa by extension more of meta focus one to pull later.
i think its worth noting that back then both childe and xiao in 1.1 and 1.2 were basically made to NOT synergize with venti which is pretty insane as they would otherwise be literally perfect pairings

ALSO !!! about venti being good for exploration, xianyun is also amazing for exploration. if you time it right, you can use her skill and be constantly either sprinting or "jumping" with her skill - either forwards or upwards !!! she also heals and enables plunging atks. i only pulled for her because she's drop dead gorgeous and it was time for me to learn how to use swirl (finally after 3 years) but she's very useful in all my teams and i can't explore the world without her
Venti would be good for exploration if they didn't add a gadget that essentially replaced him entirely.
He's still good for abyss since hoyoverse loves to spread small enemies that hurl stuff at you. But that's essentially all he's good for, at least to me.
I was definitely miffed about the anti synergy with Klee. That was the only reason I got her. Benched her for Diluc later. :/
Im happy I got him right away in 1.0 for I dislike chasing down enemy groups, made early abyss super easy too. Like I cleared abyss 12 when my max level team was 70 and team stats were around 30% crit and 100% cdmg and the mains on that team where Venti and Klee and those two have go me to clear floor 12 in every version of abyss pretty much haha.
Not to mention: Venti is one of the only - if not the only - anemo unit that CANNOT displace Aloy bombs 🤣🤣🤣

Venti deserves to have a secondary charged attack that gaives a small cc effect or something. His C1 could even have increased the area of it slightly with the extra arrows.
You know, crowd control ability is influenced by character level, so if the rumors about being able to level up a character from lv.90 to lv.100 are true, perhaps Venti will get some sort of “buff”, at least on his crowd control.
i thought it was swirls that get buffed by beinh level 90.
@@usmanya5110 enemy cannot be stunned when being vacuumed by Anemo abilities like Anemo Traveler Burst if the enemy is 20 levels higher than you.
A lvl 60 Traveler can't stun lvl 81 enemies for example, so they will keep attackng you even when inside the tornado from Burst.
Venti said it himself he was the weakest of all archons and Hoyoverse made sure to hold it truthfully sadly.
This is why I believe his best play style is by using sacrificial bow to Abuse his Tap E and Charge E while keeping the black hole with still high attack 2000+ to still do decent basics for driving if using as main dps.
Either that or a physical venti with 3000 atk and the standard banner bow with the Sumeru anemo set to boost charge and normals.
Looking back, I no longer bring Kazuha, Zhongli into the abyss until recently, Zhongli comes back into the game with Arlecchino.
I think the main issue is venti's weapon and his cc going against him , unlike kazuha who is a sword user he can go close to enemies and pull them towards him and the enemies will stay in the middle of his burst , while venti he is a bow user ,so what happens is he needs to go back a distance and use his burst ,doing so the enemies end up coming towards venti and they escape his burst , so venti won't even be able to deal damage , pretty much useless against heavier enemies , i hope they fix that cause i really want to use him again 😕

but it also made characters that were weak pre 3.0 usable. i.e: miko, shinobu, keqing, thoma
venti is the reason i played genshin. triple-crowned him and gave him the best artifacts i could get no matter how unlucky i am with artifacts. he isn't leaving my team even after i get kazuha. it's just sad that they nerfed him. he deserves better

nah, I'd swirl 🍃 my venti feels great! I use him as a hypercaccy main dps.
it’s so frustrating to me, because venti is the only archon that was bested in his own field. zhongli is still the best shield, despite many shield characters getting released. raiden is still arguably the best electro battery and driver despite different electro characters having gotten released. nahida is the best dendro applier, despite many new dendro characters being released. furina is currently the best hydro sub-dps, if not the best sub-dps/support overall (rivaling that of even bennett).
and venti is the only archon that was power crept almost immediately. he is a good anemo support, yes, but is easily replaceable by kazuha, xianyun or sucrose.
it doesn’t make sense, because they still do character reruns. so if they didn’t make his kit as lacking as they did (in comparison to other supports), he’d most likely be a similar situation to raiden, who has great selling banners on each of her reruns. and so does zhongli and nahida. and i’m certain furina will as well.
He's too broken in 1.0 he can even suck players artifacts in domains into the endless pit 😂😂
Once lvl 100 is released i hope they give venti a new passive that buffs team mate based on his em/ or his dmg or some new form of cc

Somehow I feel in future venti will come out the strongest after completing a certain story quest maybe we will get a boost like after that story quest we claim a power in which his ultimate can now suck all the enemies including azhdaha like massive ones 😂😂😂
I feel like the earlier 5 star characters need a buff. The newer characters have impressively animated bursts, but I feel like the early characters could use some of that love
I just hope that Venti gets a buff in Snezhnaya. It's his neighboring country and the tsaritsa was his friend.
If not a buff, just give him a huge role in the lore.
I really hope we go back to Mondstadt before going to Khaenri'ah

I think its also important to note that there are players who whale on characters, spending a lot of money on one or even multiple characters, raising them to god-like powers, if then those same users would go on to say "this game is boring, the mobs/bosses are too easy for us", that is also something that the game devs would think about, its an impossible balance to walk, f2p accounts wont have the "best" 5* characters and weapons, they're gonna have an easy time leveling characters, beating bosses vs. Whales who can clear spiral abyss by soloing a character on each side. Welkin may seem cheap to pay so you get more primogems but paying £5 every month over 4 years, thats £240, thats more than you'd spend on a game on a 3ds or some steam games (im not gonna get into the precious crystal gems that have a 1:1 transformation rate to primogems)
I am guessing to say at most it would be about 30-45% of their user base that at least buys welkin blessing, more than 3 or 4 times since they've started playing.
Saving primogems takes so long, and sometimes the characters aren't even guaranteed, if the game devs don't raise the world building and difficulty in game play, some people may even regret investing all that money ($1000's), balancing that while also not alienating players who are free to play, they may be choosing to tilt the scales towards their bag 💰
Dendro element not being swirlable was only a nail in the Dendro element's coffin for me, not Venti's lol. It's still me second least often used element only above Geo.

I didn't start playing Genshin Impact until around 1.5yrs ago, and only sparingly (I'm talking 30-60minutes every 6 months LOL, it wasn't until last month I finally got out of Mondstadt, the starting city!!!!) Even though Venti has been nerfed, I still pulled this fun lil' guy. He's currently on my main team, though once Nilou gets her rerelease and I finally have my full Bloom team he'll get booted to another team comp. He's still super fun to play with :D

You forgot about the fact that when Kazuha first came out people didn't like him much
They were all saying "oh a worst version of Venti" or "He need C6 to be a DPS"
Little did they realize they made the biggest mistake ever and iirc after Kazuha banner was gone they started seeing how strong Kazuha really was and wished for a rerun for so long and it took 6-8 months for his first rerun
