There's an entire culture around them and some insane builds with plenty of after market parts available here. I went to a fantastic IS200 meet up a while back, at least a hundred of them crammed into this tiny coastal town burning rubber all day. They're kind of like the budget Skyline, if you couldn't afford an R32 you bought an IS200, threw on a turbo kit and a new a exhaust and you've got 400-500hp for under 10k.

I'm so proud to see you doing an is300, I actually own one with BN sports kit. My Idea is put an LS400 with bi-turbo or 2jz-gte swap, with rocket bunny and bn sports + 19 inch wheels
I have the 2000 altezza 3sge 6 speed, in Japan right now and I love it all you need is a 10,12,14 mm to take the hole engine apart super easy to work on.
Convert to coil on plug. Build the block internals. Swap the GE intake manifold to a intake GTE manifold. Boost it with a decent single nothing huge. Make good power and drift it or something lol

Build the motor and put on a turbo. I had a 2001 IS 300 but it was automatic. Never got to do a turbo build but it was a great car. Very reliable. Sold it at 249k miles.
Lowkey never watched the other builds but I will for this one. I want this car so badly for a rear wheel drive car lol, ever since my friend had one and it got totaled I wanted one for my own.
I’m excited to learn more about this 2JZGE from Quinn. There’s so much back and forth on whether the GE can be actually turned into a GTE. I’ve heard the blocks are the same, the blocks actually aren’t identical and it’s more than just the head. Can’t wait!

my 3 favorite cars to hook up in the need for speed games back in the day as a teenager was a golf mk4, an eclipse and in later games an is300. all three of those cars handle so perfectly at the highest end and when you get them about stage 4 are super car fast. you guys are doing 2 of my favorite cars of all time right now. please do a mk4 gti next lol

I have an 01, and an 04 at the moment. My 04 has built bottom end with an single turbo. Would love to see what you guys do. GTE and ls swaps are way to common on this platform. But the value has been growing on these and have great support from companies like FIGS.
I’m in Michigan and also have a manual is300 I picked up last month for 6k ! 220k miles black interior nav package car, came with a drift hq bolt on angle kit, silvers Neomax coilovers and a bn sport kit on it, super fun car as well as reliable I absolutely love it but it needs a 1.5 jz 😈
C-1 style front bumper and side skirts C-speed style rear bumper. Seibon XB CF hood. Seibon CF trunk. GT CF low rise style spoiler. Paint it (wrap it) battleship grey. Finish it off with some HRE S107. LS swap the engine.
I had a black 99 RS200 6 speed manual with beams 3sge engine. Wish I still had it. You lads should go the 3sgte/6 speed swap.. That will put a smile on ya..

You should do a video about how to N/A turbo it for a reasonable price unlike all the other N/A turbo videos I've seen. That go way too overboard or don't actually explain what you need lol and then GTE swap it. That's what I want to do to mine I have an 04 absolutely love it.

Keep it ge!!! And go NA-T just swap out to non vvti internals and you’ll have a motor ready for forced induction.

I put a 6.0 ls in mine with a t56 no turbo but It is the best option by far if your going for street/strip.

I've swapped 1UZ V8 as most people has done, but I recommend 2JZ turbocharged.
