Keep going . We need the help. Some of our children are severe. Mild is a different issue. Severe autism is debilitating.. In many ways.

Thank you for this video. I have to girls, the oldest one has it, very mild, the youngest ones I think has it too but a bit more severe. Do you have any tips on how to help them? Do they learn to communicate? My 3 yr old has a language delay.

Sorry no disrespect as this runs in my family...but it IS a problem it's created a life of hell, depression, misunderstanding, denial, and marriage break up. The non autistic partner lives a life of hell and is blamed . 😢

@@deb9ragorton742 Believe me when I say I DO know what you are saying, and I understand. I have lived this hell for over 6 decades. My issue is with the terminology used by the creator of the video. Autism is not a problem, it is a difference. When people ask ‘what is wrong with you?’, there is nothing ‘wrong’, I am just different. Is someone with black hair wrong? Someone with green eyes? No, they are different.
The ignorance of those around me, misdiagnosis, mistreatment, being ostracised - you know I could go on - is the problem. People telling you what is ‘wrong’ with you and trying to fix you. Autism doesn’t need fixed, and in fact you will know it can’t be ‘fixed’, but what can be, and should be, is the attitude of others who expect everyone else in the world to be the same as them, and can’t give other people some grace.
Those who have a public platform/forum, such as the creator of this video, should not be using negative terminology. It simply perpetuates what society already thinks about autism and rubber stamps the belief and use of those words. There is nothing wrong with anyone - we are all just different. And we should learn to live with and accept those differences.

​@@cblaney3931I think your looking waaaaaay to deep into what she said don't you,we all say things differently that's all,as you say about hair colour etc everybody is different,she just expressed words differently,I would probably say the same as her if I'm honest,I do get what your saying your right it's not a problem per say but it's a problem non the less,it's very hard work taking care of an autistic child,very challenging on every aspect of your life and it takes over your life,all I do is protect my son all day everyday from any form of negative impact but its so impossible to eradicate all issues,it is hard on relationships aswel coz we can't go out anywhere as a family as he has melt downs so we spend 0 time togehter anymore,for me it's not a problem I don't see it that way but it's a problem for my partner,he says I need a break etc but I can't do it,I don't want to leave my child alone with someone else,he needs me not anyone else and if I was to leave him with someone I couldn't rest and enjoy myself coz I'm not there to protect him,your comments make me think even more now that people still look down on autistic people and makes me want to wrap him up in even more cotton wool,think before you speak next time as you have offended so many parents of autistic children,at least this mum is trying to do something more deeper
