- Our very popular blind tests have taken a different turn! This time, we'll be looking at which midrange phone can take out the other in this single elimination showdown. Midrange phones make up what 80% of the world uses, so these phones are extremely popular in their own lane. Will the winner be the Asus Zenfone 10, the OnePlus Nord 3, the Realme 11 Pro+, the Honor 90, the Nothing Phone (2), the Motorola Edge 40, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, the Poco F5 Pro, the Xiaomi 13 Lite, the Samsung Galaxy A54, the Apple 2022 iPhone SE, or the Google Pixel 7a?

Most of the time, we take photos during the day. Why would taking photos at night be more interesting?
@@user-ik6mp1hj6n The video would be more interesting if he also included night time photos, that's what I meant. I don't know about you but I take a lot of photos in night or low light. Many phones take good photos in day light (even the cheaper ones) but it's the low light photos where you really find out how good the cameras and sw are.

I find it strange to see the highly expensive ZenFone 10 in a midrange contest.
4:15 - The Samsung Galaxy A54's photo is much better and natural looking, yet the community prefers overly-processed photos with fake saturation and boosted contrast. This is also the reason why Honor 90 lost in the final round, where its photo, once again, looked too fake.
100% agreed. A54 also had more details in the shadows compared to Honor 90. Had they selected the A54 in that round, the final round would've been much more close.
Of course... 100% sure A54 win in this case. Everybody was blind i think

When testing the iPhone 15pro max camera, I would like you to use the Xiaomi 13 Ultra as a comparison target!
I don't agree with the process as it only consists of one photo to compete as i would recommend taking 3 photos of each phone
I'm fan of Honor phones and to be honest, I would don't mind to getting lose to Pixel 7A or Nord phone, because the Honor 90 have alot of procesing and actually, I miself voted for Pixel phone in the end.
But I still don't mind to have Honor 90 of Excelent color reproduction of the camera.
Does Honor support video calls and call recording?
@@vlimavlima44 I'm not sure if there is in software already for Video Calls, but it supports when using WhatsApp or other applications for video calls, and yes, call recording is also.
Just an opinion: you should gave at least 3-5 photos per phone and take the best scorer to next successive round
As different phone could be better in different conditions
If you want that just go watch the MKBHD version of the blind test that came before this. They've been doing it on that channel for years and use many more phones and way more voters.

@@unclemoses3333 nope but have used it to a fair extent courtesy my friend has one but i got to admit their computational photography and software trickery are second to none.....only grouse is they should constantly update their camera sensors like the processors they upgrade every generation.......

Title should be which mid ranger has the best photo filter. Developers are just giving you samey cameras and adjusting the post processing effects and calling it a new camera upgrade which is ridiculous. You can do that yourself to your taste if you prefer

Bro named and recorded a video about midrange phones, but... On the thumbnail, the one and only thing see is at least 10-15.000€ worth of phones, depending on region and memory configurations. 😂

@@smarterphone6863 yeah the honor 90 is a nice option as well, definitely slower than the Nord 3 though but looks nicer and has a way better software experience imo

HELLO SIR, CAN YOU MAKE A NEW SET OF 2024 MIDRANGE PHONES?
The Honor 90 leaves me feeling a little depressed, it gives a very sexed up image in terms of high contrast and boosted colour saturation, if you like that whole ready-for-social-media look that covers for a multitude of shortcomings. It's especially noticeable if you live in the UK, in somewhere that has quite a lot of overcast and rainy days, that high contrast overly saturated look can make places look like something out of horror movie, as in on the stark side. You know, pitch black blacks, not a lot of shadow detail.
It is, though, quite good at the price in video, though lacking a bit in fine detail compared to the 7a. It's particularly good at the price if you're into vlogging, though, worth comparing at the price with the Samsung A35, which I think has similar cameras to the Samsung A54, having a 4K selfie video camera that betters that on my Samsung A55.
Lack of stereo speakers and lack of a headphone socket with the Honor is a bit off-putting, to me at least, though the former is often absent on phones, these days.
I sometimes dislike the image processing but I'm pretty astonished how good some of the photographs from the Pixel 7a are. I'm wondering if the Pixel 9a, whenever it comes out, will better it, which I didn't feel the 8a did, beyond less image noise in low light.
Anyway, thanks, very much enjoyed the content and it was interesting to see people's preferences, would be good to see some low light shots, next time around?

It is a very inaccurate way to choose the best camera.
All of the cameras on 2 phones in different scenarios should be compeed. So u could have taken minimum 4 pictures with dofferent cameras and then elminate one.

The biggest observation
would be how poorly all the Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco phones performed. Better avoid Xiaomi phones for human subject photos in the midrange

Most of the times I didn't agree with the winner photo. I didn't like honor photos. They all looked unnatural. Over saturated, I disagree completely.

Well the Galaxy A54 is the best selling midrange phone and S21 Fe is also 1 year older so thats why he picked a54 probably
s21 fe is not a midrange phone. it use flagship chipset. i am ex owner for 21 fe and currently using pixel 7a.

You do a lot of comparisons and take very nice pictures. So you could also provide some Google drive links for us ; of the camera samples. Not for the comparison but still interested to see the real samples 😉🙂

I installed Google Camera(GCam) on my gaming phone and the photo from it is so good nice detail and colors.

These kind of comparisons are not very useful anymore because the people who vote in the main are tech enthusiasts and they vote for Pixel/ Gcam stylised pictures. I called every win bar 2 going by that premise.

Realme 11 PRO+ is better than Honor 90
Galaxy A54 is better than Honor 90
Honor 90 doesn't stand a chance in the last comparison. I would had wished to see Galaxy A54 against Nord 3 and Pixel 7A in the final round.
Actually the honor 90 has a chip specially designed for its cameras and they got 2nd place in dxomark so the honor 90 deserves to be 3rd or 2nd and I totally disagree with you

Dxomark has mostly been irrelevant for long time and they usually gave Huawei phones more score.

Because the picture results are for cheaper phones, not midrange.
Samsungs design are just ridculous. From the nicest they becamed just the ugliest, with that 3 simple circle cameras.
