Think the ground crew need to brush up on their hand signals. If I got that I'd ask my f.o. what the hell does point at me and wiggle wiggle mean...?

Why did smoke come out of the supercharger intake lol

Old piston engines had Backfires sometimes which means the explosion/flame goes also thru the intake valve by accident

Our 'Luftwaffe hero' in orange vest (probably thinking he's a 'real' Knights-Cross First-Class _'SchwarzGefreiter'):_ "C'mon, babe - pull 'er up an' turn 'er over for me, baby! ... _Give, baby, _*_Give!"🤓_*

How is it running the starter? I don't see an external power unit, nobody's cranking it and as far as I know these don't have electrical starters.

Definitely sounds like an electric starter. I was there and that’s what it sounded like. So this one actually has the German engine and flys. I believe all the others that fly don’t have the German engine. They made a big deal about that at this air show. So maybe the ones you have seen fly don’t have an electric starter as the aren’t running the original engine perhaps?

@@craft_airsoft7002 Hmmm interesting, it does really look like an electrical starter. I've heard they didn't use them during the war because of something related to a conflict of space between where one would go and the ammo storage but I'm not sure. Interesting either way!

@@hanswolfgangmercer yeah, I will ask next time I am out there, as that plane and a lot of others are owned by the same guy at private/airfield museum near me. I go at least twice a year. I will try and remember and post what I find out. 👍🏻

Sounds like an electric motor spins an inertia starter wheel and then it engages
