There are two types of alien romulus reactors - those who snicker and acknowledge that the cocoon looks like a giant vagina, and those who try to tastefully ignore it
The alien human hybrid at the end is NOT CGI, he’s a REAL GUY it’s practical effects he’s called Robert he’s from Romania and he’s a ex basketball player he’s 7 foot 7 inches tall
People are never happy! If they did something fully different they would say it isn't alien enough. The movie isn't perfect but its my third favorite out of the franchise.
It was a mistake not to watch the other movies. There are references to all the other movies in this film. You'll get most of it but won't understand everything.
It just shows Ash was not the only model of AI that had been tasked with studying xenos. Perhaps they only limited it to these models on xeno missions. Maybe that was the infiltration AI, and only deployed when people didn’t know that person was an AI. Not a big deal, his family said Ian loved the franchise and would’ve been honored and excited about joining the project.
That I don't mind, especially since they got permission from his family (though they could have done a better job with the CGI, it's the only part of the movie that stands out as being poorly done). I don't even mind him using the "I can't lie to you about your chances" line. Rook is supposed to be the same synthetic model as Ash, so naturally they would have similar, if not the same, responses to certain situations. The only line I didn't love was Andy's "get away from her" because it came off as so forced, otherwise I thought the writing was solid.
@Sum actually they built a model of his face and then I believe used deepfake to make it animate. The practical model of it was just left with a more vague mouth area. Also they said they didn’t do it as smoothly and blended as it could’ve been and left some defects in the practical model on purpose to sorta give it that, not functioning robot type of look. Once you have it in your mind it’s a robot that is damaged the uncannyness sorta plays a good role. But yeah it does stick out because we’re so trained with faces and not everything else that is CGI
Bit like you haters who were hating on this movie before you even seen it you people are never satisfied no matter what they’d of done you’d of had something to moan about it’s a solid alien movie and really entertaining your just a moaning loser you don’t like it why are you watching a reaction on it
Bit like some saddo looking for attention luckily for Fede and the cast it was a huge success and there making a follow up and majority of people liked it including myself what’s boring and disappointing is your sad attempt at attention thinking someone’s gonna give a damn about you not really only thing that’s boring is you mate
@@rachaelhogan7850 I agree, these folks are the reason Scott re-wrote Covenant and the trilogy got cancelled. They are the reason we are never going to learn about the Engineer's history.
The time line for Alien Romulus is supposed to be 16 years after the origin movie. Ripley is in cryo-sleep, floating in space in her escape module.

As long as they have seen Alien, Aliens and Prometheus they will get most of the callbacks
It’s not really necessary. Sorta cool moments for people that have seen 3 & 4 but not essential to understanding anything deeper.
Getting sick and tired yall keeps saying cgi cgi that not cgi. He real tall dude. Play basketball
Yer he’s Romanian Robert he’s 7 foot 7 inches
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. I liked some elements of the movie, but I didn't think using Ian Holm's image was necessary.
using callback lines was also unnecessary, I think even the director agreed in subsequent interviews

I found Romulus boring and simplistic! Big disappointment!
Dude shut hell up. You just a haters
Yeah, if there's anything the Alien franchise needs, it's added complexity. 🙄
