After the release of Infinity War, people were wondering how is this movie going to keep Marvel fans interested? Well, first off this movie takes place before Infinity War (aside from the post credits scene), both Scott and Hope are the title characters who both get the spotlight, and it even introduces this cool villain “Ghost”. But, since she used to work for SHIELD, that brings up a lot of questions about why we haven’t seen her before in the MCU since SHIELD shows up a lot. Either way, this was a fun Ant-Man sequel to spare some time for.
I always look at Ant-man and the wasp as a laughing Palatte cleanser for the emotional damage infinity war caused. It’s not the greatest, but it lifts your mood.
kristen's jump scares are great agree, most of the sequels weren't that good with the exception of the Captain America ones, Ragnarok, spiderman ones, and maybe GotG3. Captain Marvel is next but Endgame is where the MCU finally shines again, followed by the spiderman sequels, then there's the low point alluded to in Deadpool Wolverine until GotG3
A movie you guys should check out is the movie Dreamgirls (2006) Director’s Cut. Which features Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and Jennifer Hudson. It is a movie adaptation of the musical of the same name from the 80s. That play being loosely based on The Supremes.
Enjoyed this movie when I first watched it but the more I watch it the only part of this movie I enjoy really is the end credit scene that was one of the better mcu end credit scenes
Yeah... I hear you. Infinity War was such a gut punch that I was completely unable to enjoy this movie. It's okay. But, the Ant Man movies aren't my favorite. My favorite part of them is Michael Pena, and his recounting events. The shrinking and growing... Meh... it's okay. Ghost was a cool antagonist, but not great. And... well... Infinity War was such a gut punch that I was just completely unable to enjoy this movie. Period. But... it was fun watching it again. Thank you for the watch! I'll look forward to the next one!
Always appreciate the movie date nights. I really enjoyed this after how dower Infinity War ended. This was a fun breath of fresh air. It was smaller, more personal stakes. I’m not sure if it’s been stated if Ghost snapped with half the population.

They felt like they need yet one more ticking clock and poor sap to fail to tug at our heart strings. Why should I blame Pym for her? It really should’ve been Ant-Man and The Wasp for the first movie, but the then president of Marvel Studios Ike Perlmutter had rule that no MCU movie will have a female or POC lead or co lead because on top of being a racist and misogynist, he didn’t believe movies with those leads would ever make any money. Thankfully his regime ended with the first Ant-Man and many MCU movies and shows with female and POC leads have heavily proven him wrong.
I love that Ike didn't approve of a Black Panther film saying a POC lead film isn't profitable, and it made over a billion dollars. Ike is notoriously known as a cheapskate.

Besides, that was one movie out of almost 10 other movies and shows with female and POC leads that came out since Black Panther. All of them critical and or commercial successes. You can’t fight the numbers.
The problem with this one is that it's a smaller movie that came out after a huge movie with an even bigger cliffhanger. This movie was only made for that ending. The adventure was mostly just tacked on to the ending. Realistically, it could have came out before Infinity War with the ending being an after credits scene in that. As is, this movie should have had background news stories of what was happening in New York.

Everyone else has watched the MCU movies. Srsly , You can see that this and friends are the only things you see solo reactions on. There is like many other videos on this channel that aren’t solo . The John Wick, the mission impossible, the arcane , the Tyler Perry movies, the fast franchise. All of them in the past couple of weeks? You don’t see them
