Best thing I've ever used on Alcantara is Koch Chemie Pol Star. As a pro detailer of many years i use extraction as a last resort. Much better to blow the crap out and then lightly steam. Soaking interiors can lead to to all manner of trouble, failed ECU's and glue failing being common. Extractors btw will never be as good as a trigger spray a drill brush and a good wet vac to extract. Over wetting is the most common mistake. Done this for 40 years and realised many many years ago even the mighty Karcher Puzzi, good as it is on house carpets will never be as good as a trigger spay qa brush and a Nilfisk wet vac!

I use a Bissell spot clean, it’s a great little extractor, reasonably priced too.

Your 996 is really growing on me, not sure why I wasn't a fan before but I probably got caught up in the ridiculous fried egg thing. The wing certainly helps set it apart 👍👍.

Bissells spot clean Hydrosteam steam cleaner may have been a better option so not to over soak everything and still give good results. Maybe worth comparing the Hydrosteam to the Vax equivalent ?

I don't use anything m8 but a fabric sealant could help I guess. Clean hands is best thing. Thx m8 u rock love the good vibes

I heard baby wipes were good for alcantara the less chemical kind but I don’t know how true that is.

Alcantara steering wheel in my Evo and great when new but get grubby and then when you clean it's not the same. I use disposable covers but only slows down the dirt and sweat.

I wouldnt use steam. Think of alcantara as microfiber. If you get it hotter than 60 Deg you will degrade it. This is the advice from Alcantara themselves. www.alcantara.com/cleaning-maintenance/how-clean-alcantara/

Im sure it can be done but theres a reason Alcantara themselves dont recomend using steam.
May I ask you - what's your favourite detail spray for a high gloss finish?
i think for gloss I would say gyeon QD or maybe beadmaker are very glossy. But I tend to use BH QD at 1:9

Hello I really enjoy the videos. I really love cleaning my van and my lorry I’m interested in going back to the start and looking at the best and easiest ways. Also I get confused about pads I’ve got a DA 8 for inter detailing and Ive not used it yet
yer so I like the Flex pads mate in2detailing sell. orange to fine polish and gloss up. Purple and heacy cut to remove deeper swirls. zvizzer pads are good for less money to
