- Been a while since the last tutorial, but I hope the stuff I say here can be useful to many people.

Instructions unclear, I am now recording war footage for my audio.
Sound is a criminally underappreciated aspect of brickfilms, glad that Edbound is giving it the respect that it deserves. A lot of people tend to focus a lot on the visual aspect, but sound adds a ton of life to, well, anything! Definitely going to apply this to my brickfilms!
Use as many casual sounds as necessary.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE CLOTHING SOUNDS! Audio of fabric simply rubbing against each other can maximize walking or speaking scenes.
However, you don’t want to overuse audio like this either. It could lead to the audio mixing becoming cluttered.
You have to find the perfect balance, which will take time!
You could not have made a better video for me- I have been struggling for audio and sounds, so thank for making this video!
It’s always a good day when Edbound uploads a tutorial
True
Thank you Ed for making a very important tutorial! Personally, I struggle a lot with sound mixing so this'll be GREAT for my animations!
15:22 this was a tutorial, but now I’m getting life advice 😂
I got into stopmotion earlier this year and I love it, I'm currently editing my first project that's over a minute long. Whilst I do have to edit through my phone, this really helped a lot. Thanks :)
How do I edit though my phone
2:05 you crack me up bro 😂 great tutorial AS ALWAYS it’s to be expected at this point.
I think he forgot to mention that he's serious about this s**t bro
This is good! I struggle with sound effects. So this is very helpful! Thanks Ed
For music, I recommend learning an instrument or getting a friend to do it for you. A quick scene with original music is beautiful.
I’ve composed a few tracks after learning things in FL studio. I love music.. i wanna devote so much of my time to get really amazing at it. I want to be at a point where I can produce every asset of my films lol
Thanks! this is a really useful video. I'm gonna take all this advice and do the complete opposite of it in order to have the worst audio possible.
Great tutorial! Sound design is very important factor of creating a good film.
It takes years and years of constant practice to understand what sound really does to your film and how to use it effectively.
One extra thing to mention! Audio editing workflow.
Dialogue mixing is the key element of success if your film contains a lot of dialogue/monologue. Therefore, dialogue audio must be mixed first and it should sound clear as day from any output (speakers, headphones, etc...)
The remaining audio aspects (ambience, foley, sfx, music) are mixed in relationship to dialogue. The worst thing that can happen is when the audience can't understand shit what actors are talking over loud sounds and music. THIS WILL RUIN THE ENTIRE FILM.
Once again, good tutorial. Keep it up!
I’ve learned more from edbound than from school 😂 love these tutorials man
Dude I’m making a brick film rn and this helps a lot man
Adding sound is always my least favorite part of the process but definitely something I need to work on. Thanks for the tutorial! It was really helpful
Wow very helpful especially for my newest brickfilm I posted on my channel thanks Ed.
when he said 'we're going to learn today' i felt that.
I can’t believe he’s not at 1M yet!!
Thank you a lot for this video, it just made me figure out why my animations and stopmotions feel so empty. Great tutorial
This is one of the beat aspects about your animation.
This is a genuinely entertaining tutorial. I actually laughed out loud during the war bit.😂
Thank you so much for this. HONESTLY. I have always loved your sound design and voice acting and now I feel like I can improve on all of this in my own animations. I’m also really passionate about acting and voice acting so I’m gonna start to improve more on that.
dude THANK YOU! i've been searching for a video that actually teaches me how to do different kinds of audio. appreciate you bro.
Just started animating a new video and this will definitely come in handy

Bro your the goat, I love making stop motion’s but I can never find the right sound. Thanks to you I’ll have no problem finding one!
Although i would be lying if i didn't say i wasnt going to download Edbounds audio, but i definitely will use it but i dont want to rely on it so i can build my own library to have my own sounding videos, but wow this tutorial was great very informative
Thanks for the sound library. I’ll definitely be adding these into my stop motions.
This is officially the longest edbound video!! Great video and I love how you edited it and constructed it
Thanks for all your tips edbound, I’ve started working on a lego series and your videos and advice are always a help
I LOVE these tutorial-type videos from you! As an aspiring brickfilmer myself, I am always looking for tips on how to improve my animations and you do a great job while still keeping it from becoming too intimidating. Please make a video at some point showing what programs you use because I think a lot of the brickfilming community is looking for the top-notch editing software you use.
Our long awaited tutorial
Man, thank you SO much for the sound library🙏🗣
I used to make lego stop motions and mine were just void of any sound pretty much, other than a few voice lines, so it's cool to see you cover this!
Also, I'm a big fan of those sketchy MP3/MP4 converting websites. I've literally used them to download video and/or audio for practically every single one of my videos lol
I love these tutorials so much
This video is really helpful. I've been wanting to improve the sound in my future videos but I didn't know how. Thanks.
This guy need atleast a million subscribers honestly, hes funny, adtistic, funn, funny, funny, artistic, funny
Thanks man I really want to start improving my quality in videos even though I am not animating anything.
LETS GOO NEW TUTORIAL!! AND WE GET THE WHOLE LIBRARY, THIS IS A BLESSING!!! 🙏Also Ed are you doing BRAWL or no? Just wondering cuz I'm doing it for the 1st time.
Another insight gained ✨
Thanks a bunch!
Sound effects are extremely important. They can be very satisfying too
Your tutorials are so good I’d literally pay you to tutor me
Can we agree that "Summers" from Earthbound is basically the sound of a beach as a song?
Yo this helped so much ❤
this was enjoyable at the same time the line: im serious about this shit bro 🤣
My ears are having a good time thanks to ed
This helps me a lot. Thank you. I love the content.
Big brain intro
This is very helpful, thank you. I gotta! add sound to my brick animations.
Can you please show us a video on how to make the lego support to hold your characters up to edit them to fly, I'm trying to have spider man swing around and I don't know how to make the support to hold him
14:15 That sounds kinda sus out of context
Wow! This was much more helpful than I expected. Common Edbound W
Great tips man!
Great video! I learned a lot! As a beginning brickfilmer this will help a lot!
These video are great it helps people like me who are trying to do animation and make channels to put them on TH-cam I have taken some advice from the set design
IS THAT WEED GOBLIN 2?? I KNOW I SAW A WEED PIECE AT THE BACK OF HIS GLIDER!
YESSIRRR
The master is back!!!
Why cruel world? how could you not give edbound a million subscribers after everything he's done for you!?
You should do a video about how to make brick built explosions! These are amazing! 6:25
im just a supporter
This video really helped me a lot, do you think that you could do a video on the expresivity of a minifigure when they are talking? I really like how the characters in your films arent just talking without moving but express everything that they feel with most articulation points.
I like bread so u like bread ed
I think your sound and music is going to be good
Thank you I've been waiting for this one
This was great! Thank you so much for the tips! I am putting sound effects into one of my future videos, and this video encouraged me to use more than just the default sound effects in the app I use.
So thank you Mr. EdBound. Thank you. [Insert emotional music here]
Sound it soo hard to do in my opinion but is very important when it comes to animation even live action movies
Edbound
I downloaded the sounds and it took like 30 minutes...
Edit: just used them in an animation and it was 1000% worth it
This was such a great video Edbound! It was very cool and interesting to hear you talking about this topic and to see/learn about some of the things that go into your process for animations. I can’t wait to see what animation or other type of video that you have planned next. But until then, keep up all the amazing work Edbound. I hope that you are able to stay healthy and keep up the fantastic work.
