were you using the Tekno style washer to secure the clutch bell? Tekno has a washer with a flange almost on the end, seemed to take alot of washers (6) or so to remove play
Hey adam drake do you no why my mugen mbx7 nitro buggy front upper suspension arm shaft keeps coming out when i hit jumps i replaced the shaft and the cup the a arm shaft goes in to on both sides?
Great post, Adam. It's funny that I've seen most people shim usually to the inner bearing. I've understood that you need shims for in the inner is to keep from binding or dragging, and the rest go to the outer bearing. Another thing that I've heard is, do you always use a metal shielded bearing on the bell?
Merry Christmas Adam, What size washer do you use for the clutch bell screw? And is there a particular type of bearing you recommend for the clutch bell? Thank You!
Merry Christmas! I use the O.S. Clutch retaining screw that has a built in shoulder that works as a washer and we have our own clutch bearings and NMB bearings that are all available through our site. www.thedrakeracing.com
Depends on the clutch. With the Protek clutch it doesn’t need a shim/washer behind the collet/flywheel. With the O.S. Clutch it requires the included washer.
Nice video for racers. I guess a few bashers will be here because their clutch bell is binding. Since you didn’t talk about this here is a video for them: NITRO CLUTCH BELL SHIMMING AND HOW TO GUIDE th-cam.com/video/XQmXdZU25dM/w-d-xo.html
Very critical and important info. Thanks for sharing Adam.
Great tech tip. Thanks for sharing Adam 👊

Does anyone know if the mbx8t front, centre, rear diffs are compatible with the mbx6t??
depends on tooth count. also depends on if the mbx6 uses straight cut ring and pinion gears
Great video. Can you give me a p/n for the filter ‘S’ pipe your using plz?

Adam do you put a shim behind you flywheel?

Thanks I run the protek
👍💯
Mistake (1 min 35 seconds) the shim size is actually a 7x5x0.2mm for those of you that have just ordered 10x5x0.2mm shims they are the wrong size
the 10x5s can be used, but there needs to be a 7x5 between the bearing and the 10x5 shim. thought i’d add that so the 10x5s don’t go to waste 😁
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
