I'm a bit of an old soul as well, and thought I'd hate the big screen. I actually like it a lot. I change my gauge cluster every few days to freshen it up. My favorite is normal mode, but then I'll rock the fox body, cobra, or 60's gauges sometimes as well. I really enjoy being able to do that.
The car manufacturers are gonna start getting hurt quite soon. Nobody has 100 grand to spend on a truck. 60+ grand for a regular mustang? You’re nuts. I’ll buy used every time.
@@al151 Sure, if you want to feel like you're driving in a cave. Visibility is terrible plus, if you're a serious car guy, Mustang's have a huge customization market compared to the Camaro.
G'day from Mustang mad Australia. All 1000 Dark Horse are pre sold for well over the $100k plus mark. The GT still has optional MR dampers, recaro seats also. At close to $81k plus. We also don't get the package for Dark Horse with bigger wheels and spoiler, it doesn't meet Australian Design rules. Tires cannot stick out of wheel arches. Another $6k US. Probably over $10k for that package, wow. Love that V8 sound. AUSSIES LOVE V8s. Cheers.
Cool car, Kurt. Love the exhaust note - particularly since it can be toned down to avoid pissing off the neighbours. Any thought of doing another AMG series? I loved the vicarious experience of watching you suffering through the travails of Mercedes ownership. Videos like your's ensure I will never buy one myself and be content with admiring the cars and their long suffering owners from afar.
I'd like to, those videos are just very expensive to produce. But, a lot of people did watch them so it's a balancing act. When I LS swapped my 240sx that was another expensive endeavor, but not too many people were into it. I'd like to get another project at some point, just not sure what. Any suggestions for what you'd think would be interesting to people?
@@EatSleepDrive I think Hoovie and LSC have shown that people eat up AMG content. That’s how I first found your channel. Everyone knows BMW and Mercedes (Audi too but not as popular it seems) are money pits. But the allure is still so strong. I expect a series on restoring an ex police Crown Victoria might do well, too. There are so many of them still out there and they’re frequently mentioned in comments sections. Once it’s sorted out swap in a nice interior from a Town Car or something? A series like that would be partly a “how to guide”, in addition to entertainment, because the vehicle is so attainable.
Just wait until you see the prices on the 2025 GTs! Ford changed some option packages and raised prices on other options, so most builds in the real world are $4,000-$5,000 more expensive than just last year. Oh yeah, and they removed the wireless charger, so you're actually getting marginally less car for significantly more money. The S650 already barely made a dent in Mustang sales, and I'm sad to say that the prices for the 25s are likely only going to make this worse. Competition was good for the consumer.
Just wait until the V8 Mustang finally ends its production. I guess you'll have nothing to complain about. I can purchase a base GT for around $48,000. While Dodge is selling their decade old final Chargers and challenges for a lot more money with their EV supposed performance replacements having price tags from the $60000 to $75000 excluding many options.
@@DWH300 Ford already promised to keep building V8 Mustangs for as long as possible, with CEO Jim Farley even going on record to say that if they're the last maker of affordable V8 sports cars, then so be it. At least Ford isn't out of touch (mostly) with their customer base unlike Mercedes AMG, where their CEO thinks the customers buy AMGs "for the tech" and not the V8s despite AMG loyal customers buying the cars for just that for over several decades.
They did more to figure out ways to up-charge than they did to actually bring us a new car. However, there are actually a lot of GT 350 and GT 500 parts underneath the car and in the rear end. The modernization and interior upgrades are welcome, but this car is now more for hairdressers than hotroders. The car is untunable and isn't faster than the last generation. BTW< if they can make it untunable, why can't they make it unstealable? Also, you are 100% right about the steering feel, but I have gotten used to it in the few moths Ive driven the car and with some upgrades, it handles better than a 4k lb car should.
Isn't that simple just get a Dark Horse if the price reaches 58k Dark Horse is hard to find and some places still changing mark up for Dark Horse The GT with performance package is easy to find and there's no mark up sometimes you can even get some discount i bought one and I'm very happy i also had a GT350 2019
Lebanon Ford offers a 2024 Mustang WITH A WHIPPLE SUPERCHARGER making 800 HP AND A 3 YEAR WARRANTY for $49,995.00! THAT has to be the DEAL OF THE DECADE for Mustang lovers!!!!!❤
Ford doesn't include destination and acquisition charges in their calculated MSRP, which can make it seem cheaper than it really is. The configurator has been changed to 2025, but the absolute base price for a 2025 GT with delivery and acquisition is $47,750. Ford's delivery and acquisition costs are over $2,000.
@@greatpariscars Ford charges over $2,000 for destination/acquisition/etc. Go compare that to other manufacturers. It's significantly more than the Mustang's competition, which makes their MSRP appear lower than it really is, especially compared to the competition. Toyota charges half that for the Supra, the M2 is nearly half, and even the Corvette Z06 is less.
@@yume8380 you also have to compare apples to apples. The GT in the video was equipped with Performance Package, Active exhaust and the 401A premium package. The Heritage Z is more in line with the GT but still shy by 80 hp and base price is 59,135.00. I don't bother with battery powered crap.
Honestly its a nice car with a pony in the front. The two previous generations look better. The 2013 & 2014 look stout mean & sound wicked. The perfect blend of the new & old.
It's the same car with Ipads and a few different body panels truth be told.. I could have got one but at the last minute I found a Gen 2 with 8,909 miles on her for half the price of a new 24.. It was an easy choice for me..
The 2015s & up are really a sports car over muscle car but the lines are sleek & captivating. The 2024 is not Fords best & I think the brand is going more global over tradition. Grab yourself a used masterpiece & create your own Muscle mustang. Much cheaper & more fun
S550 is just superior in every way. Interior is less buick-like and more sporty. The exterior just absolutely kills the s650. Everything is better and cheaper on the s550

Not a fan of the Elantra notch at the rear. It's not a good look on either this or the two Hyundai sedans.

it's not clickbait
If the quality was there, it might be worth $60K. But it's not there (in any Ford product).
