I'm not impressed with the sound of this car , but I'm sure it is a blast to drive.
My 69 fastback was a very nice handling
Car , just a 302 cui. Style, performance,
Economy, Ford and Iacoca found the Iconic American sports car and its also

He's been in key positions for at least 16 years, per the video and has all the attributes that an automotive company, particularly focused on performance would want. Fun seeing them slowly fight their way back and then in some ways surpass the original muscle car years. 30 yrs ago would you ever think the big 3 would have the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger with high hp V8s being marketed against each other? Only thing that’s a bummer is Pontiac, Olds, Mercury and Plymouth couldn’t survive long enough to compete because people need their Honda’s Kias and Saturns.

Always liked my performance cars with a manual. Always thought that nothing beats banging gears in an American muscle car especially a Mustang. Recently had a chance to drive a new Mustang GT with the 10 spd auto and was very impressed! Maybe it’s me getting older and lazier but when you hammer it, it just stays in the fat part of the power band and is a freaking blast! Next (newer-ish) car will be a low mile GT with direct injection and a 10spd for sure! Only thing that sucks is you know it’s going to be $$$ if you break it. A lot cheaper and easier to replace a smoked clutch than a complicated computer controlled auto.

edit: feelsbadman when Jim compares the displacement of the Supercharger on the GT500's to the displacement of the 05-10 Mustang motors (I own a '06) hahaha.

Thanks for providing another great video that is from a car enthusiast point of view! You get history plus explanations of the what, how, and whys in simple language. I really liked the Sports Plus mode explanation and how it drives. The car has a nice sound when driving too! I like the look of the Mach 1-only wish they would have used paint instead of a sticker on the hood but honestly, who is going to complain-looks great.

I had a Mustang ecoboost and I gave that car to my son while I bought a Camaro SS. When driving on the open roads and tracks the Camaro will beat that Mustang any day, however I have to admit that when driving on the twisty side mountain roads of Southern California the ecoboost is so much more fun to drive.

That’s more a problem with the Camaro. It’s a sedan chassis with a sports car body laid over it. They’re very pretty, and have good performance. But, are also big and heavy so aren’t going to be as nimble and the same fun as a smaller lighter car.
While they’ve gotten bigger and heavier the mustangs have still stayed more of a sports car.

Phil Clark designed the original mustang horse icon. Charles Keresztes designed the mustang II logo (not the 74 mustang 2, but the 63 concept) which became the iconic mustang horse. His profile mentions the Olympics when he was 17, however, as he was borne in 1925 that would at 17 be 1942 which did not have an Olympics due to WW2. It does mention he was in the Hungarian cavalry during WW2.

This sounds nice! I agree. Also sounds like it has a resonator like my 2015 GT premium (for the lower legal china and europe decibel levels) take that out (weld an X or H pipe in place of) and it sounds much more down to earth. $120 dollar job so no biggie but was well worth it for me after giving it a few hundred miles for everything to settle in. Should come stock w/o in USA.

This may be a Mustang, and bring back memories of the 60’s and early 70’s, but this is still an expensive car for your average 8 to 4:30 crowd. Gone are the days when your brother working at the gas station could buy a Mach1 or a Swinger 340. Oh well, that’s how it goes now. Sometimes I feel like the only thing that hasn’t changed is me!
