Palpatine's early life is endlessly fascinating to me because whether he was born with the Dark Side or later on are both valid theories. On the one hand, Cosinga Palpatine says that he tried hold him and Palps fought him with a strength far beyond his age and the Force might have created him but on the other, Palpatine's entire family cast him out and drove him to destroy them all, not to mention that Cosinga said he always wanted to kill Palpatine leading to Palpatine's cunning and secretive nature (as Plagueis describes it). Was Palpatine born a psychopath or did he become a sociopath over time due to the mistreatment by his family? Personally, I lean to the former but both are valid options. It could be either/or and I find that ambiguity to be really compelling 🔥
Another thing that sets Palpatine apart from other force users is that his connection is invisible to other users. Trained masters like Yoda and Windu would be able to tell instantly if an individual is force sensitive. They couldn't detect it in Palpatine and Palpatine has an incredibly strong connection to the force.
Palpatine is a natural psychopath and sociopath, the kind of person caught torturing animals when they’re a small child. There was never a fall, just an embrace of his nature.
Palpatine’s own father said that from the time he was born there was a darkness surrounding him. If I remember correctly, his father said there was something wrong with him and he wished he had strangled Palpatine in his crib. In order to be a Sith, you have to kill someone you love and care about as a sacrifice to the Dark Side. Palpatine killed his entire family including his father, his mother, and his siblings. He even killed family members who had never even done anything wrong or insulting to him simply because they were there. And he got away with it because he made their deaths look like accidents or natural causes.
Kreia "I hate the force, I hate that it seems to have a will, that it would control us to achieve some measure of balance, when countless lives are lost."
