- A journey with me through my IVF procedure in 2021. This took place in London UK and shows the journey from my IVF medication through to my egg collection and my embryo transfer.

Thanks so much for your comment. When I was editing I think I removed alot of the content because I thought it was too specific to me and the work demands I had at the time. But work was one of the hardest things to juggle. In hindsight I wish I took more holiday leave instead of rushing ti try and do everything x xx
Thank you for sharing your journey. 💛 I’ve been juggling a high demand job while pursuing the fertility treatment. It’s been the most stressful part and taking a sabatical was not an option, and I didn’t want to leave my job considering fertility treatment is so expensive. The medecines made me feel so low, the frequent blood tests, scan and sometimes short notice medical appointments made it hard to manage both the workload and the doctor’s visits. I’ve had one failed IUI and will be going for egg collection in 2 days. Praying and hopeful for the best outcome 🙏

Me and my husband have been trying for almost 5 years and we finally have a date for our first round of egg collection on 5th August. It’s scary and exciting but just I’ve been binging TH-cam videos for clarity and to help calm my mind a bit x

I start my injections this evening!! Had my baseline scan yesterday and everything’s looking fine. I’m so nervous, so excited, just ready to start. I’ve had many many losses due to having lupus anticoagulant blood disorder. Ivf won’t lessen the chance of MC, but fingers crossed I’ll get lucky. Thank you for posting about your journey, it’s been so helpful

I thought stims didn’t have effect in my humor and when I asked to my husband he said that he noticed it. I was more emotional. Physically my breast were very sore, constantly pee and mild cramps. After the egg retrieval I was tired and cramping for 4 days. Now I’m waiting for FET and, can’t wait!! Thanks for sharing your journey. It Brings me hope in mine ❤

This really helped me! Thank you! I start my injections in a week and I’m wondering whether I should have some time off work to help reduce stress. Work is really stressful and exhausting and I’m just worried it’ll affect me during the treatment.

Hi Alice, sorry i thought i replied to this. I hope your journey is going well. I edited alot of my ramblings about work before i didnt want my videos too long but it was a HUGE factor for me, one of the hardest parts of IVF actually. I hope you are managing to juggle it. I always said if i was going to go through it again i would definately take time off or at least half days at work xx

Hi thanks for uploading we were placed on the list recently so it could take up to a year until we hear anything so plenty of time to watch every IVF in existence 🤣 We get one free in Northern Ireland then after that private 🤑

It is so sad that you guys have a waiting list. Here in the US, it only takes two weeks to get in with the RE then you begin the following cycle. Insurance pays for some people, but not everyone. I'd rather pay to debit now than wait 1+ years. 😢
This is the best IVF video I’ve seen. I’m currently on day 10 and I’m struggling with those Fyremadel injections (the ones with the blunt needle). Did you have a technique for getting them in? 😩
Thanks so so much for your lovely message. Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. Unfortunately I don’t have any tips, someone I saw in a video used to put a freezer pack on and numb it beforehand, I never bothered but it was such a blunt needle it was the one I didn’t like at all xx

we did forms, bloods and they weighed me all on the same day hope that helps I know all clinics seem to do different things good luck xx

Im thinking about doing ivf but unfortunately I don't think I have the eggs to use so has anyone used a donor for the egg?! I'm super nervous it's been 3 years my husband and I have been trying and April of this year we had to have surgery to remove my right ovary and fallopian tube due to a hemmeragic cyst

Hey, thanks for your message x I went to Guys in London and paid privately through Dr Khalaf. I would recommend as he didn’t push lots of extra tests and things, was happy to move quickly and didn’t make me wait loads of cycles but he was a bit disorganised and I had to chase him for prescriptions x

What's your view on abc IVF ? From which clinic you tried and how much it cost you ?
Hello, I didn’t try them but I saw some people on forums use them and had a good experience
Why you had the frozen embro transfer and not the fresh embro transfer?
It was due to her being at higher risk of an overstimulated ovary. Look up Freeze All for more info.
Hello! Because I was at risk of OHSS they decided to give my body a break and do a frozen one instead xx

Hello, I paid privately to see an NHS consultant. I know this sounds like a silly thing to do but he had AMAZING reviews and due to my age I didn't want to go on the waitlist so we decided to do one lot privately before getting added to the NHS waitlist x

Thanks for your message. It was a dr called Mr Khalaf and he works privately in Guys Hospital. If you google him you will find his secretary. Hope it helps

Hello, unfortunately I don’t know the answer to that as it is different for different people. I would definitely get a couple of quotes and don’t just go with the first clinic you speak to

Hello, I didn’t go through a donor as we used my boyfriends x happy to answer any questions though x

While in treatment as you have period pains can you take pain killers?
My doctors didn’t have a problem with it, if I was desperate but I would make sure you ask your doctor for advice

Hello, they do offer IVF for some people but there is a bit of a waiting list so we decided to pay privately.
