Question. I get that the cam is not waterproof once you're using the mic adapter - do you know if - when the mic adapter is removed and the cover put back on is the cam waterproof again. Do you compromise the seal permanently by removing the cover?
If I do not want to use a mic adapter! Is there any other way to use a mic on this camera without having an adapter! Please Suggest one ! Thank you and good review !
These are available exclusively at Insta360.com still it looks like: store.insta360.com/product/ace-pro-nd-filter-set?c=2649&from=accessory I do not see any other listings for these elsewhere. Freewell makes these but Insta360 sells them.
I got a question I ordered the ace pro and a second battery how do I charge them? Do I need to put them in the camera and then charge after one is full switch to the second one and charge it?
From what I can see it can just connect to one at a time. That being said if you own two you could switch which one it is paired with but only use it with one at a time.
Kun je de camera ook nog draaien als hij op de tripod staat? Of heb je daar misschien een extra accessoire voor? Ik bedoel als je wat wil filmen en volgen?
The Mic adapter have one massive design flaw. The USB-port supports only charging - not file transfers... Which means you have to take this adapter off, EVERY time to transfer files to your PC/MAC.
Yes, this is unfortunate. Though I find it not terrible to remove it when needing to copy files off and then clip it back in. I find it to be about the same amount of effort as opening the door that is there if not using the adapter. Though setting the adapter where I won’t lose it while it is removed is maybe the most important part 😂
Good evening, another informative video as always. Can I just ask you something please ? Many owners of this camera complain about blurry focus at the edges of the frame, have you noticed something like this when using your own camera?
Thank you. I have not noticed any blurry focus at the edges of the frame but I’m wondering if this exists when using a certain combination of settings but not others. I’ll report back here if I do notice this.
I find one downside of insta360, prices of accesories... OMG the most expensive from all action cam (dji or gopro), no 3rd part companies make it (like telesin, ulanzi etc.). 2x more expensive than gopro, dji cost about 25% cheaper :| diving case, and magnetic mouths ... wow :(
Yes, some of these accessories are a bit higher in upfront costs. Though there are often sales on them which is nice. Insta360 does sell some accessories made by other companies. This one, made by Telesin, they sell on their website: store.insta360.com/product/magnetic-neck-holder-mount?c=2151&from=accessory Also, the ND filters for the Ace Pro are made by Freewell and sold by Insta360.
Yes, one could do that as well and also control the camera via the Instas360 app on the phone. I like this remote better than my phone because it is much smaller than my phone and I don’t always want to have my phone out when doing things that could easily break it 😂
My fav channel for an ace pro content. Thanks for the information
You’re welcome and I appreciate your feedback!
Thanks for the mike adapter tip, charge and keep the cam safe.
You’re welcome.
Thank you for the detailed presentation

If you have the mic adapter attached, does that compromise the waterproofing?
Yes, the mic adapter is not waterproof and it will not keep the camera waterproof when attached.
can the filter be used along with a dive case?
As long as the Ace Pro will still fit inside the dive case you are using it should be fine to use the filter as well.

Can the new remote pair with two Ace Pro cameras?
From what I can see it can just connect to one at a time. That being said if you own two you could switch which one it is paired with but only use it with one at a time.

There aren't any hat mounts for this?

Checkmarked a lot of my needs for this action camera. Thanks.

Thank you very much! Have a good weekend!
Thanks, you as well!
Great channel always informative because you are a user of these products with first hand knowledge and experience. Thanks
Thank you. I appreciate it.
What mount is on top of the tripod selfie stick?
It’s a 1/4-20 mount (the same size as is found on many tripod mounting plates).
Thanks, don't suppose you have a link for that exact one as it looks great. The mount that comes with the Ulanzi stick looks different?
This is the mount I attach to the top: amzn.to/3O9SEca
Viola!~ No longer waterproof.
Yes, if you want to use the Insta360 underwater or in heavy rain then some of these accessories would not be fit for that specific use case.
You could save your money on the gps and just use your phone to do the same thing. But still I nice thing to have.
