And that's why several months ago, I subbed to your channel, you are authentic, very helpful, not trying to grab my attention with clickbait. I appreciate that! I'm a keen amateur wildlife photographer that started using Darktable several months ago after switching to Linux, and not being able to use my regular windows photo editing apps on the Linux system, I found Darktable was the best option for me (that's how I found your channel). Your videos have helped me a lot, I like your editing style, and your photos are wonderful. I think your channel should be more popular :)
Thanks a lot! Good luck with your editing journey, and if you have any specific topics you'd like me to cover regarding darktable, feel free to suggest them!
100% agree. I love this channel for that exact reason. Very down to earth (pun intended lol). I found it through Darktable too when looking for a libre alternative to Lightroom.
I respect your choice Mr. Wild Earth, thank you for making content your way! As the years have passed, I've realized spending too much time watching youtube and not just doing the thing you're trying to learn is a detriment to progress.
Yeah absolutely. I think TH-cam also has a component of providing a pale substitute for real social interactions as well and that's something much better done in the real world!
The whole idea of this video reminds me of the leaked documents for Mr. beast’s production company and the kind of work that goes into making the “best” TH-cam videos. They are clear from the start that this doesn’t mean they are the best filmed, best edited, etc. they’re just the most effective at harvesting attention.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah, for sure, there are definitely techniques that just grab people, similarly to how refined sugar is quite addictive. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a prisoner's dilemma-type situation whereby others must do similar things to compete.
Yeah I feel becoming Photography Cocomelon 😂 is not worth it. I think too many people do things exclusively for money, I have a “low follower count” photography account on twitter, and I just like talking to the people that enjoy my photos, and seeing what other photos they like. No need to be famous to have a good time. Your videos are great.
Haha. Thanks! Of course there is the money aspect, and that is very alluring too. But a good little solid audience is just as good as a super quickly growing one as well :)

Definitely won't change anything!

As has already been stated below, I enjoy your content as is. Keep it up!
