Hitting high notes,belting are just normal now a days in the Philippines you can find it anywhere but this girl really special ! She can do anything ! Wow!!she's my all time favorite.
A great example of how good classic OPM songs are. Great melodies, full of emotions, relatable story and lyrics. Tunes you can hum along with or belt out your heart to.
this is true... the old songs hits differently... it's not like the songs that are produced now aren't that emotional... it's just seem lacking and the words written in those old song contains a lot of emotions and much deeper.

When the piano hit the chorus, instant goosebumps & hair raising. This had the same vibe as "Happy" MV by Leona Lewis, an internal conversation in her head of an unattainable love. Her delivery is sooooo heartbreaking😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤
I enjoyed your analysis of Gigi’s version of this iconic song. Even though you both are foreigners, you guys are very knowledgeable about OPM music. It’s so refreshing to hear an outside perspective. Keep up the awesome reviews guys and check out Gigi’s version of Morissette’s Akin Ka Na Lang sung on ASAP Natin’ To. She put her spin on yet another iconic song with the power rock vocals and it was so good! She definitely found her niche!

Highly recommended, coz in Akin Ka Na Lang Gigi and the GIGI VIbes made a turning point from stereotype in making and evolving a new and fresh genre that somehow trying to mix new level of belting with a flavor of huskiness and rockiness yet pleasing to the ears ......new type of sound with a remarkable musical arrangement !!!

Yes, her AKNL live performance on ASAP Natin To. She also has 2 recorded versions of AKNL (Main and Full Band versions) but they’re not performance videos…just lyrics. Both of those are on the ABS-CBN Star Music channel. All are so good! But I really like her Full Band Version…it’s got that rock vibe that makes her so different from all the other Filipina singers.
