I have this same problem. 500 hours. Could this be done without dropping it from the motorhome chassis?

hello, I have problems with my onon 5500 in the stator there is no AC output but I don't know if it is the stator or the control pcb, could you tell me what is the DC voltage that should come out in the two cables that go from the control pcb to the stator that It would help me a lot to know if it is the control pcb or the stator that is damaged. Thank you

I do not know the answer to your question. I never tested any voltage when it was apart. I just replaced the bearing.

Thanks for putting this up and explaining, roughly how many hours were on your genset when the first bearings failed, and upon the second failure did you change brands of bearings? How many hours has the genset run on the second set of replacement bearings. Thanks for your time.

The Motorhome was a 2002 and we bought it in March of 2014 and the 1st time it happened was in March of 2016 and the 2nd time was in August of 2021. The second time I bought the first bearings I could find because I needed the generator and I was in a small town with not many options. I know the generator had over a 1000 hours but I really not sure exactly how many hours were on it each time it failed. I have since sold the motorhome.

@@paullatourelle6238 Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, I am glad to hear that the bearings did not fail at an early time.
