  • Apologies for the sound quality on this one, it was a very windy day and even with dead cats fitted to the microphone, it didn't help.

Yes I am filming number plates to check if they are taxed and MOTd. You do the same to us with ANPR so I'm being a good citizen and checking you. If you've done nothing wrong why would you object to it? Oh a security risk... Then change your mode of transport or change your job. The public are holding you accountable.

@The Oracle He's hoping to get a gong for services to the public. A cop near me (PC David Irving) told me "We're hero police". I thought I'd check what his/their 'heroic' act was. It turned out, police are so desperate for public support, they now think administering CPR at an RTA is worthy of an award. My 15 yr old nephew performed CPR a few weeks before. He says every teenager gets taught it in school & he was taught basic 1st aid for his weekend job. He doesn't think he was a hero. He was grateful he paid attention in class when they were teaching him as he doesn't normally.

How does the auditor get address details etc, if he films a "personal vehicle"? He has no access to the PNC. Harassment? No more than a dashcam capturing it going down the high street. Paranoia.

    Harassment, Alarm, Distress
    Public Order Act 1986.
Section 5 - Harassment, Alarm or Distress
This section deals with the offence of causing someone harassment, alarm or distress. In order to be guilty of this offence, you must have been using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour or words (or disorderly behaviour). On protests, posters and any reasonable use of megaphones would not constitute a section 5 offence. Generally speaking when you are on a protest, it is best just to use your common sense. It goes without saying that you should not block entrances/exits, verbally abuse anyone, swear, trespass on to private property or intimidate people.

Hi AJ Audits, seven minutes in and this sergeant comes out with some strange idea that it is ok to ask you not to film ordinary cars as a mark of respect!, does he think that is a proper and reasonable respectful thing to ask of a member of the public?. He goes on to say that his reason relates to the sense of discomfort and harassment they might endure and would therefore feel entitled to threaten you with some vague unpleasantness if you do not comply!, does he want respect of does he just want compliance!.
Just what is going on inside that tiny mind?, has he really got nothing better to do than make such a complete tit of himself!, good fun to watch of course, very kind of him to oblige us.
    Cheers, Richard.

    LEGALS
    “Have a chat”
    🤣🤣🤣🤣
I quite liked him with a couple of exceptions. First, he was relatively smart and very polite, but no hat. Why not? Second the THREAT of “words”? “Arrest”? (Who knows) for filming plates which is “harassment”. Legally. It isn’t. The standard test for this section (brought in to protect women against stalking), is it happens at least 3 times.
Then he said “we WILL take you in …(that means “arrest”) for an informal interview”. Well Plod, no you won’t. You’ll either arrest him on suspicion for a crime OR you’ll leave him alone. If you don’t have his details, you cannot invite him in for a voluntary chat. So your spouting utter nonsense.
Was there a crime? Of course not. Only if he returned every day to film and upload the same personal cars would you begin to consider harassment.
Of course, I am a broken record, so I’ll say it for the hundredth time. The Golden Question would have been interesting …”really officer, HA&D for legal photography in public, supported by your Chief Constable to you in writing exactly 12 months ago: which section of which act is that? Which Case Law are you quoting to support that wild suggestion”.
He would have been silent, as … of course, there is none.
So “have a chat” is threatening. I’d say “in return, I’ll have a chat with your Divisional Superintendent regarding your blind threat to lecture me - as there’s no section of ANY English Act that allows you you lecture the public. It’s just something Plod enjoy, lecturing the public. It’s a power kick. You can just walk away…

Again the uk police service are delusional to their belief that their personal vehicles hold some sort of occupational privileges of privacy
The Sargent then states on the public record that this can be considered as harassment
We might have to to take , ??? well I’ll have a chat to you he says on the public record
What kind of chat would that be the Sargent???
    Sounds like a threat Sargent
    On the public record
    As your statement
I don’t want our personal vehicles
appearing on social media platforms would indicate
This needs to be cleared up by the uk police service as to their perceived privacy of police offers personal vehicles ,once and for all
and the threats and intimidation used by officers around this be stoped in its tracks in the interest of public safety
