      Make sure you get the right size because they run a larger than your typical running shoe.. So that will result in slippage. I found that they are not like running shoes but more like a true shoe size. Running shoes often are tighter or smaller than shoe size, so I get a half size larger. I just purchased these same slip on in my shoe size, which fit great with no heel slipping. So try them in your true shoe size not your running shoe size.

    All I know is that my husband has dementia and these Skechers Slip-Ins are a lifesaver for us. They wash very well too. He has incontinence issues as well and we have to wash them often. We are thrilled with these shoes and he has three pairs.

    I was looking for info on step-in shoes. I have worn clogs for a long time, I have neuro-muscular issues (MS and fibromyalgia) and I'm 67, so getting down to tie is impossible. I was wearing the clogs today and fell in the pet store. There was a PT in there who helped everyone get me up and she told me the shoes were part of my problem so I'm looking to try to find something affordable with the slide-in feature. Thanks for the review, this helps. :)

    I bought them for the ease of on and off. BUT walking down narrow stone steps in a restaurant the back caught the upper step, easily pulled off the back of the shoe and I took a header down 8 steps! I thought it was a fluke until a couple of weeks later on a job I was walking down narrow steps...carefully holding the handrail this time,..and again my heel was pulled out of the shoe. I was able to push it back down and was not hurt. These shoes may be good for walking but NOT for stairs.

      You can try gripping socks (the bumpy bottoms) to have a better hold of the shoe.

    I have 2 pairs of leather Kiziks that I love. I’m 75, so I needed something easy to get on and I wanted leather for waterproof. Thanks for the info on Sketchers. My husband likes Sketchers a lot. He works a part time job and needed comfort and ideally slip ons. He’s 78 and would appreciate just slipping on his sneakers. What is your opinion regarding these 2 designs. Thanks

    • @janetdeethept6259
      @janetdeethept6259  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally found kiziks harder to pop down the heel especially if I pushed down on the side versus straight back. You can always make a mesh shoe waterproof with a spray to waterproof another pair of gym shoes.

    Hi, I have a 5 mo old hip and will be visiting Japan in a month. In Japan, you have to slip your shoes off a lot. For walking, hip support, and the convenience would these be adequate to take to Japan?

    You mentioned in the video about sketchers Go Walk however didn’t mention which is better and why.. slip in or go walk? I am confused - i need to buy for my mother who has gone through knee replacement surgery recently

    • @janetdeethept6259
      @janetdeethept6259  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great idea for another video. Go walk is purely an easy walking shoe like around the house vs slip in for outdoor and more active walking

    I was looking at hey dudes but I heard they can be slippery when you first get them so I’ve looked else where and found you he has gout is there any recommendations you can throw my way I’m sure he’s like me and very prideful so maybe something that looks like a regular shoe❤

    I am 63 and I am not that flexible anymore. I mean if I try to put on my regular shoes it really hurts my back. I saw a commercial for Kiziks and got very excited. Well I bought a pair of their EE. That was a lot of money for me. I was crushed because they were to narrow and hurt my feet. I only wore them twice they were so uncomfortable and I did not return them because I would look like a silly old man that did not even know his own shoe size. Are Sketchers really wider? I mean for years I have had to wear flip flops all year round even push mowing and weed eating in the summer to shoveling snow off the driveway in winter. I really do want to wear shoes again, but because I still do all the above they need to be well made and fit my fat foot. **sigh**

    • @janetdeethept6259
      @janetdeethept6259  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      skechers are significantly wider than kiziks. One of the reasons I made a skecher video is for my clients who have wider or more swollen feet from illness or lifestyle. The joy of my channel is that everything discussed was initiated by a client or their questions.

      Sometimes we trip because our foot doesn't clear the floor. I hope your shoulder recovery is fast.

    • @hollygaye
      @hollygaye 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I'm well aware. However, this particular shoe, and no other, has caused this specific problem. Plenty of people's feet don't clear the floor, but this shoe's front sole sticks to the floor and stops dead in it's tracks. the Go Walk shoe.I've googled and found many others have stumbled, tripped, or in the worst case, fallen.@@janetdeethept6259
