I get goosebumps, brings back so many memories. The very first transformation, everything is awesome: the animation, the detail, the sound effects, THE MUSIC.
Phenomenal, excellent!.. thx sooo much dude, brought tears to my eyes, nice flashbacks.. If u find Mazinger, Laserion or old Ironman I'd appreciate it.. thx again
I hope someone is thinking of a live action movie to bring back to life this series! when I was a kid I would skip dinner to watch the show =) Good work on the compilation.
Oh man, very nice! Thanks for posting this, it was always one of my favorites. Ruby-Spears was a really good animation company, this is top notch animation, especially considering the budget probably wasnt all to high, wish there were companies like that still around.
wow wow wow, love the video! It enlighten me what i missed. I've never seen 1 of Ace, 2 of Jake and 1 of Max. then I've never seen the 2 other guys either.
oh meeeennn... what a goooooooooood old day... I miss the time when cartoons were simple, entertaining and imaginative... Centurions, Mask, Galaxy Ranger, Defender Of The Earth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Silverhawks, Thundercat, He man... damn bring back my childhood!!
As a kid, I always though Ace Cloudkicker was the coolest hero and damn did I often imagine having a Blue Ex-o-skeleton to go Power Extreme!! Great montage, superandroid23- an instant favorite for me :D
This is the first time in animated history or maybe even TV-history where a 360 is done is animation! I'm not lying people! This is awesome! This show was 20 years ahead of its time! I want it to be rebooted so bad.
They did it once on Batman The Animated series in the episode "On leather wings," when they fly around the blimp thats the only other time I can think of!
The composer for the Music is Udi Harpaz who still does scores for film/tv. He also did the Airwolf score so there's some similarity to theme musics between this show and Airwolf. What's interesting is for a syndicated tv series in the mid 80's theres a heavy amount of hand drawn fx animation in each episode which isn't cheap to produce. Animation was by Sunrise in Japan who also produced Gundam, Dirty Pair, Cowboy Beebop, etc. Just some Trivia :)
This show would get me so hyped. I would draw my own Centurion loadouts and shit. My parents finally got me one of the action figures and it was the lame water dude with the weird hook. I of course loved Ace, and was pissed the ground guy got all of the new loadouts.
To expand: Rex Charger, energy specialist (with Electro Charger and Gatling Guard) and John Thunder, infiltration specialist (with Thunder Knife and Silent Arrow). They were introduced very late in the series, in episode 56 ("Hole in the Ocean, part 1"), meaning they were only in ten episodes. No toys were made of them (though some were planned), and they only had two weapons systems each (all the others had at least three at the start, with more added later).
By thé way their assault weapon systèms are ordered for the core three centurions thé first one is light assault then the next two are medium assault and thé last two are heavy assault
I'm sure I remember one that was motorcycle-like, but it's been so many years since I watched it that my brain may have merged my favourite cartoon (this) with my favourite film of the same era (Tron)!!!
I could definitely see Clooney as Ace now that you toss his name out there. I also think Michael Chiklis would play a good Hacker. I think there's a way to do it w/ both era's actors. The story could be a the old ones having to teach a new set of heroes the ropes. That would be interesting to see. It would open up some new possibilities & avoid ruining the dogma for us original fans. Plus, new weapon systems! :D
Those 3 were toy only weapon systems. I'm not sure if they were in the comics, but they were never in the show. They were basically upgrade parts for Sky Knight, Fireforce & Cruiser as far as I've ever seen.
0:12 Sky Knight 0:48 The parts on; His left shoulder, his arm, & the helmet of Fire Force 1:35 The part that attaches to the top of the back 2:34 Silent Arrow helmet
No problem. Someone actually PM'd me asking if I would make it. :p I always thought the weapons were the coolest part too. I'm surprised that no one had ever done all of them b4 like this. I actually had forgotten that Strato Strike existed until I made this.
actually their suits increase their strength by several factors. one episode max ray lifted up an entire sea plane using the tidal blast weapon frame. the exoframes are power enhancement suits.
HI, I've been sidetracked for a while but am uploading the Skybolt/Orbital Interceptor combo video today. The others I've found are really just part replacements rather than true combos so they're negligible.
for years and i mean ever since i was 5 and im 22 sometimes i would say "power extreme" for no reason. i didnt remember what the show was called but i remember power extreme and the 3 guys and there colors and the attachments. now ill never forget the name :)
Probably the greatest sequences in animation history. I presume Hasbro a just sitting on this licence, just like they are with MASK, (maybe StarCom, too) so they can churn out endless Star Wars and Transformers variations.
this show shares similar elements to anoth ruby spear show Sky surfer strike force. Both have hi-tech weapon/tool systems at their disposal, suits, both have have machine badguys and both kick butt (i never had achance to SSSF but they say its good).
thanks a ton!!for this vdo !!superandroid23..bring backs a lot of childhood memories of me n my lil bros :D:D..all the best n yeah!!!power xtreme ..:P to you...(lol) mate
Neil ross who does Ace does G1 Springer, and also the lead earthcore guy (forgot his name damnit!) from inhumanoids. He also di d some roles in Scooby doo and the alien invaders.
DBZ is one of those things that should just remain a cartoon/comic. No matter how it's approached for live action, it still feels like your being hustled.
Doc Terror: Someday Centurions! Someday, I'll get myself a foot that won't make me look ridiculous. Seriously, have you seen it, it looks silly both in cartoon and on my action figure. :D
Decided to make this visible again. Enjoy :D
This was a GREAT show back in its day. Talk about a trip down memory lane. I loved this little thing you put together. WELL DONE
Finally got what I was looking for.. :)
Nostalgic
A cartoon so old, it was on boomerang when I was a kid.
Probably the best cartoon I ever watched.
I get goosebumps, brings back so many memories. The very first transformation, everything is awesome: the animation, the detail, the sound effects, THE MUSIC.
oh man! bring back such awesome memories! thanx a million uploader!!
Thanks for posting this, I re-discovered the series a couple of days ago, and was interested mostly in the different gear configurations.
One of my favourite shows which I'll never forget
Glad you included the 2 new guys. Some of those weapon systems for Max were barely used it seemed.
well done with the video, I would love to see this cartoon made into a film that would be so cool. I used to love this cartoon as a kid.lol
oh meeeennn... what a goooooooooood old day... I miss the time when cartoons were simple, entertaining and imaginative... Centurions, Mask, Galaxy Ranger, Defender Of The Earth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Silverhawks, Thundercat, He man... damn bring back my childhood!!
Back in the 70s
Bring back the 1990s & my babyhood/Childhood!!!
As a kid, I always though Ace Cloudkicker was
the coolest hero and damn did I often imagine
having a Blue Ex-o-skeleton to go Power
Extreme!! Great montage, superandroid23- an
instant favorite for me :D
Oh man, thanks for this... it's been so long
This bring back so many memories. I had Ace Mcloud. I miss those cartoons on Sunday morning.
Muy bueno el compilado!!! muchas gracias!!! uno de los dibujos que mas me gustaba cuando era pequeño ( allá por los años 90's
This is the first time in animated history or maybe even TV-history where a 360 is done is animation! I'm not lying people! This is awesome!
This show was 20 years ahead of its time! I want it to be rebooted so bad.
+dan henry 360 you mean, in 2D animation a continuous surround view of an entity, this one had done first. Its a costly technique that is rarely used.
That's Sunrise studios for you.
They did it once on Batman The Animated series in the episode "On leather wings," when they fly around the blimp thats the only other time I can think of!
Me too. I hope someday, it does happen.
Wait for filmed...
Thier gears seems to just keep getting bigger and bigger and I think to myself, THAT SHITS GOTTA BE FREAKIN HEAVY!!!
My life is complete. Thank you.
Epic! I miss that show
The composer for the Music is Udi Harpaz who still does scores for film/tv. He also did the Airwolf score so there's some similarity to theme musics between this show and Airwolf. This animation was broadcasted in 1989 in Korea when i was a child! I was a big fan of this one :)
Oh okay, I never knew that. Now it's all so clear to me. Thanks loads.
Memoriessssssssssssssss
Thanks for uploadng.
Power extreme sounds better with echoes.
that battle cry of their's power extreme never gets old.
AWESOME!
This show would get me so hyped. I would draw my own Centurion loadouts and shit. My parents finally got me one of the action figures and it was the lame water dude with the weird hook. I of course loved Ace, and was pissed the ground guy got all of the new loadouts.
very good compilation
Oh, the Centurions' PowerXtreme medley... now that's music for my own ears!
Ace McCloud - Sky Knight, Orbital Interceptor, Strato Strike, Skybolt
.
Jake Rockwell - Fireforce, Wild Weasel, Hornet, Awesome Auger, Swingshot, Detonator
.
Max Ray - Cruiser, Tidal Blast, Sea Bat, Fathom Fan, Depth Charger
.
Rex Charger - Electro Charger, Gatling Guard
.
John Thunder - Thunder Knife, Silent Arrow
Last 2 cast I never knew about them
@@husain5213 They were only in the last ten episodes of the series.
I think the Centurions were military specialist in their own fields. Max=Navy, Jake=Army/Marines, Ace=Air Force, Rex n Thunder=CIA.
GREAT JOB, MAN!!! It's my dream!
that was pretty rad!
The Wild Weasel is still my top favourite. Jake had some legitly awesome AWS.
I grew up watching this cartoon. one of the best
People would say Busou Shinki or Frames Arm Girls but what they didn't know is The Centurions.
To expand: Rex Charger, energy specialist (with Electro Charger and Gatling Guard) and John Thunder, infiltration specialist (with Thunder Knife and Silent Arrow). They were introduced very late in the series, in episode 56 ("Hole in the Ocean, part 1"), meaning they were only in ten episodes. i demand a reboot of this show
i watched this a lot when i was like 10 years old it was really cool. never thought there were more than 3 centurions though
I can watch it all day long.
Awesome
By thé way their assault weapon systèms are ordered for the core three centurions thé first one is light assault then the next two are medium assault and thé last two are heavy assault
I like their Battle Cry it never gets old Power extreme
brings back my good old memories
The themesong at 0:52 when Jake is fusing with Wild Weasal was the best one. Jake also had the best AWS.
Perfect Video
Afternoon cartoons in the 80's...Wow time flies so fast.
1:11 I used to love that sound effect!
Best video on... Earth.
Me and my brother used to do the power xtreme ....ahhh memories
I'm sure I remember one that was motorcycle-like, but it's been so many years since I watched it that my brain may have merged my favourite cartoon (this) with my favourite film of the same era (Tron)!!!
EPIC!!!

Ooh! I had such a crush on Jake Rockwell. I know he's a cartoon but he's so cute!! :)
of the music guess you'll have to thank udi harpaz - composer. Made mental note to obtain the soundtrack. Can u help?
@killerpawn The 2 yellow parts are attaching to the backpack cannons
It's sailor moon... for dudes!
Sailor Moon For Dudes was Ronin Warriors.
zazelby At least in the U.S. XD
Saint Seiya was more Sailor Moon for dudes in Japan, Latin America (where it was a huge hit), and parts of Europe.
After watch sailor moon, I find this show very hot : /
i miss this show

0:12 Sky Knight

1:35 The part that attaches to the top of the back
2:34 Silent Arrow helmet
I wish i could have been old enough to go looking for those action figures when they came out
centurions were awesome
No problem. Someone actually PM'd me asking if I would make it. :p
I always thought the weapons were the coolest part too. I'm surprised that no one had ever done all of them b4 like this.
I actually had forgotten that Strato Strike existed until I made this.
thats all I need to watch.
actually their suits increase their strength by several factors. one episode max ray lifted up an entire sea plane using the tidal blast weapon frame. the exoframes are power enhancement suits.
2:10 - 2:36. WTF? Who were they? Loved Udi Harpez's music though!
Die Serie war wirklich der Megahit .😄👍📺
I like when the centurions go to higher weaponry. Ace's Skybolt, Jake's Detonator, and Max' Depth Charger.
@superandroid23 It's still there on the individual video page, you just have to click the expand button to show the whole description.
HI, I've been sidetracked for a while but am uploading the Skybolt/Orbital Interceptor combo video today.

I really hope that someday, someone will take a look at this and make a movie out of it, but only if they do it right.
Damn, these days America will shiver simply at the world assault on a cartoon. We've come down a long way.
Oh god the native american guy with the bow and arrow on his back, you couldn't get away with that today lmao
Most badass transformation sequences in 80s cartoons
I just found this in an email my wife sent me almost 12 years ago...POWER EXTREME!!
Probably the greatest sequences in animation history.
I presume Hasbro a just sitting on this licence, just like they are with MASK, (maybe StarCom, too) so they can churn out endless Star Wars and Transformers variations.
ha!! That's awsome!!! It's THE catroon of my childchood:) always liked Jake the best:P
this show shares similar elements to anoth ruby spear show Sky surfer strike force. Both have hi-tech weapon/tool systems at their disposal, suits, both have have machine badguys and both kick butt (i never had achance to SSSF but they say its good).
Desenho inesquecível.
thanks a ton!!for this vdo !!superandroid23..bring backs a lot of childhood memories of me n my lil bros :D:D..all the best n yeah!!!power xtreme ..:P to you...(lol) mate
we the fans would still love to see them... like myself for instance
this is pretty cool..made to sell lots-a toys..but still very cool.
Neil ross who does Ace does G1 Springer, and also the lead earthcore guy (forgot his name damnit!) from inhumanoids. He also di d some roles in Scooby doo and the alien invaders.
My grandma bought me the figure plus 1:24 AND THAT IS WHY SHE WAS AMAZING. I didn't even ask for it and it was one of my favorite toys.
The fathers of the Frame Arms Girls.
I had swingshot. It was an alright weapon system. I still will always want a Depth Charger
Would have been nice to hear the names of the assault systems being announced.
This is so fucking cool. They should make a movie out of this.
What the hell are the two random ones at the end? The red and green chap and the purple looking one?
plz upload the new opening when the two extra centurions were added and also episodes featuring them.
+David315842 Doc is a basement nerd, don't tell him I said that. :D
MNanme1z4xs LOL. :D
that was so extreme :D
power extreme treme treme
man i used to say that all day when i was a kid
